Stick for friends, carrot for enemies?

"Here comes Ahmadinejad, Barack. Get out the carrots."

An Iranian dissident has a pointed question for Barack Obama. From "From Bogota to Tehran" by Banafsheh Zand-Bonazzi in Hudson New York, November 4:

Polls taken inside Iran show that the Iranian people are the most pro-American in the Middle East, after Israel. But instead of connecting with the people of Iran, and supporting their plea for better living conditions and for democracy, Mr. Obama has chosen to deal with their oppressors, giving them a free pass even against the warnings of the European Union, which opposes the “without precondition” part of Obama’s proposal. Does the change in Foreign Policy advocated by Mr. Obama imply using the stick with our friends and the carrot with our enemies?

I hate to explain it so painfully, Benafsheh Zand-Bonazzi, but it comes down to this: Obama and the leaders he would sit down with are cut from the same bolt of cloth. You, I, the people be damned.

It would be shameful indeed, and even more appalling, if the hubris-filled Obamanauts persecuted America's friends, as well as appeased her enemies. Still, that's what we may expect from Obamaian foreign policy.

Like this is surprising. Wherever he goes, whatever he does, Obama has consistently sought out and allied himself with the lowest common denominator with the most seditious, parasitic, evil, supremacist, dishonest aims, and claimed to stand for and with them, which he does because, at the end of the day, that's exactly what he is: an illegitimate low-life without a soul who is filled with hatred for decency, hard work, democracy, individualism, and every other objectivist/Judeo-Christian value. It's disgusting. He's done this in America and he's doing it with the Middle East. He hates ISrael because Israel is everything he could never be: intelligent, determined, hard-working, legitimate, democratic, self-sufficient, tolerant, and progressive.

This confirms what Ali Sina has and Reza Safa have been saying about the Iranian people. They're finally realizing that they're better than Islam, better than the Arabs, and that they can hopefully be what they once were back in the jahylia days of knowledge, wisdom, logic, progress, and class. Ahmedinejad represents maybe 10% of them. And those are the same people who back Obama.

Obama is foolish...Beasty Boy Amahdinejed, Hugo and others would just love to have a sit down fireside chat with Obama, so they can 'splain' reality to him. A reality that he will soak up like a sponge...I wonder how many Saudi's he will kiss...I wonder how many he has already kissed?

Obama is not black...He is the white flag of American surrender...

I voted. I didn't have to stand in long lines and it was efficiently done. I voted on paper and I filled out the little ovals completely leaving no white at all.

Two things to remember as you vote:

(1) There is more in the West worth fighting for than I can know.

(2) There are more people fighting for it than I will ever know of.

Stick for friends, carrot for enemies?

Sounds logical.
If you want to make an enemy into a friend then you don't poke at him. You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Why would a friend demand you offer him a carrot? That means he doesn't support you nearly as much as you think he does. His support is conditional and will go to the highest bidder.
Being "the most pro-American people in the Middle East" doesn't mean much. It's a relative comparison. It doesn't mean the MAJORITY of Iranians are pro-American. It doesn't take much for Iranians to be more pro-American than Egyptians. It doesn't mean we're not the great satan to the majority of Iranians.

Another Stumper-of-the-Year besides Obama: BIDEN

Biden once said that Obama wasn’t yet ready to be president and "the presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training."

"There has been no harsher critic of Barack Obama’s lack of experience than Joe Biden"

McCain campaign spokesman Ben Porritt said, "Biden has denounced Barack Obama’s poor foreign policy judgment and has strongly argued in his own words what Americans are quickly realizing — that Barack Obama is not ready to be president."

In addition to the comments above, Biden also said this:

"I would be honored to run with or against John McCain because the country would be better off."

Better off is right!!

Hey, if you haven't voted yet, then there's still time to do right by our country, vote NOBAMA '08!

"Obama is not black...He is the white flag of American surrender..."

Swami,

Beautiful! It doesn't get any more succinct or more correct than that!

Iran is our greatest threat and our greatest opportunity.

Obama's 'legitimization' of The Nut Job at the precise moment he is becoming a laughing stock in his own country bodes evil for our foreign policy. Not that Bush was much better. This site and the Mossad have both emphasized the vulnerabilities of Iran at this time. It is the one untapped reservoir of pro-Americanism in the whole Mideast (while we go fawning after Egypt!). Obama, of course, will be most uncomfortable with 'pro-Americanism'. It goes against his beliefs.

I've repeatedly brought up the issue of Colombia on these pages, detailing how that courageous country and close friend of America has been getting the finger from Obama.

When Colombian forces bombed a FARC enclave in Ecuador early this year, their subsequent inspection of the destroyed hide-out unearthed a computer hard-drive that had information detailing contacts between the FARC terrorists and Obama's campaign.

Obama is eager to come to terms with the tyrant Chavez in neighboring Venezuala, but Colombia's popular and democratically-elected President Alvaro Uribe is apparently anathema to the Leftist sensibilities of Obama's inner circle...primarily because he is center-right, pro-American, and has had the audacity to successfully pursue a military strategy in his country against narco-terrorists masquerading as social revolutionaries.

The Book of Revelations tells Obamas story.

Obama, as Presidential candidate, knows the lives of Governors to Plumbers at his whim. While his Family he speaks so highly of live unknown in squalor, despair and disease.

Yet the masses expect him to care for them???

Forgive them, for they know not what they do.

Thus saith duh_swami: Obama is not black. He is the white flag of surrender.
I'm so stealing that!

Jewel Atkins...You don't have to steal it, take it, it's yours... :)

Cornelius, you're absolutely right about Colombia. The Democrats treated Uribe like a rodent last summer. Bill Clinton had to step in and remind them which way the moral compass points, that they are our allies, that Colombia is the only stable democracy in Latin America, that they should be treated as such, and how diplomacy works. The Dems don't like Uribe because he's a decent human being with sound policies who doesn't want to throw his country to the wolves a` la Obama. He's about as conservative as McCain, which is only slightly more so than Hillary, but Pelosi and Reid marginalize anyone who's anything right of Stalinist.

I hadn't heard about the Obama-FARC thing, but I wouldn't be surprised. Everyone evil is in Obama's Rolodex (if people still have Rolodexes) as far as I can tell. That is not an exaggeration. Name someone evil and he's invariably connected to them. FARC are basically non-Muslim jihadists. Everything they know they learned from cocaine warlords and jihadists.

JDamn: Democratic treatment of the elected Colombian government, Chavez'Venezuela, and Iran shows that the Democrats hate Democracy (in the modern sense--not the original Aristotelian one). Period.

Swami: Obama was raised by white people, and being descended from Muslim East Africans he is kin to a slave-raiding and -trading tradition.

jdamn,
How much of the Democratic antipathy to Uribe is because of the free trade pact Bush wants to sign? None of them can be seen on the same side with Bush.

I see. Surveying this site, I see that a number of us are destined to be hunted down by the Obama Guards, and hauled away to the ReEducation And Correction Training (REACT) camps. And I'll help finger my fellow anti-Social reactionary malefactors. I love Big Brother.
