In "A Modern-day Islamist Inquisition?" at The American Thinker, December 9 (thanks to all who sent this in), Walid Phares explains much of what is wrong with the Organization of the Islamic Conference's attempt to criminalize "defamation of Islam" -- i.e., discussion by non-Muslims of the motives and goals of jihad terrorists -- at the UN:
First, there is a problem about the substance of the concept. Indeed how can one define "defamation" as an aggression against faith, any faith? Where is the limit between criticizing a set of beliefs or ideas and defaming a whole religion? How can members of a religion reform their system if they cannot criticize it? Will reform become synonymous to defamation? If the very concept of "defamation" is not clarified and thoroughly defined, legislation such a sought would lead to blocking reforms and punishing reformers. As it stands at this stage the wording of "defamation of religion" -- even if some are well intentioned in pushing for it -- is a stark reminder of the blasphemy laws of medieval times which were behind religious persecution and the Inquisition. Defamation of religion as a concept has to be specified and accepted within the state of international consensus so that it won't become a serious setback to human rights instead of an additional protection to it.
Read it all.
The bottom line is Allah...
Allah by any other name is defamation of Islam.
Those who do not believe in Allah, and worship Allah, are defaming Islam.
Every religion other than Islam, defames Islam.
Because only Allah is the one true God.
Any variation of the laws of Allah are defamations of Islam.
The very existence of kufrs defames Allah and Islam.
Jihad must continue until all this Allahic defamation stops, and all worship Allah instead.
Thats the way Allah want's it and Mohammadans will do their best to see that He gets it...
So... How do I bring the Kingdom of the Sauds before the UNCommission for violating my UNReligious Rights because they do not permit non fidel churches in SA?
How do I bring charges against the Sauds for violating my UNHuman Rights because I as a non fidel am not even permitted in Mecca?
Where do I file charges against the Wahhabis for their support of radical madrassas all over the world that defame me and every other non fidel every day?
Where shall we burn all the Korans that defame the non fidels generally and the "sons of pig and apes" specifically?
Did the west create the UN to be a sword at their own throats?
When one sees the letters UN, one should link them directly to the subject they reference... as in UNPeacekeepers.
I welcome the "law" defamation requires proof Saying the truth about Islam is protected.
What Are Defamation, Libel and Slander?
Generally speaking, defamation is the issuance of a false statement about another person, which causes that person to suffer harm. Slander involves the making of defamatory statements by a transitory (non-fixed) representation, usually an oral (spoken) representation. Libel involves the making of defamatory statements in a printed or fixed medium, such as a magazine or newspaper.
Typically, the elements of a cause of action for defamation include:
A false and defamatory statement concerning another;
The unprivileged publication of the statement to a third party (that is, somebody other than the person defamed by the statement);
If the defamatory matter is of public concern, fault amounting at least to negligence on the part of the publisher; and
Damage to the plaintiff.
In the context of defamation law, a statement is "published" when it is made to the third party. That term does not mean that the statement has to be in print.
This is an excellent piece by Dr. Phares. It blows holes into the logic of any possible success behind such a proposition, if it were applied to all religious denominations or non-denominations, equally.
It also serves to illustrate how this can only work when one group is put above all others, as is the true intent of the OIC, preserving and protecting Islam alone from "defamation". It will essentially be a license to kill for Muslims.
That being said, trying to introduce logic to the Muslim mind is an exercise in futility. I have a sneaking suspicion that Islam apologists in the UNHRC will be equally resistant to the wisdom of Dr. Phares' words.
"Defamation of religion" like this?
(Quran 98.6)
If that's not defamation, I'd like to note that Muslims are the "worst of men".
I'm filing a libel suit on behalf of Jesus, Moses, and Mary and I'm sending the bill to the KSA.

If Hindus had not permitted any criticism of their religion, a host of evil practises like sati, untouchability, child marriages and polygamy would not have been abolished. There are no rights for belief system; they are there only for human beings and for animals, in a limited way.
If I say Allah is Satan or Devil for wanting innocent people killed for his sake (fi sabil Allah) whom am defaming? The Satan or the Devil? I am not an athiest, I believe that God is great and Allah is Satan or Devil and anyone defending Allah, Satan or Devil belongs in a fiery Hell.
