"Terrorism expert"
For the record, this "British terrorism expert" also happens to be Egyptian-born, Muslim brotherhood spokesman, Kamal El-Helbawy, who once questioned whether Israeli children are legitimate targets -- this before Israel's latest "blame-all" incursion. One must wonder, therefore, whether his "expertise" in terrorism is a product of theoretic knowledge or hands-on experience.

Gaza, 29 Dec. (AKI) - The latest Israeli attacks on Gaza could promote the growth of 'new Al-Qaeda' terror networks, a British terrorism expert warned on Monday. Kamal El-Helbawy, director of The Centre for the Study of Terrorism, said the raids had provoked widespread anger throughout the Middle East and many people, even children, were now talking about revenge.[...]What else is new? Had Israeli not attacked, would there not be "widespread anger," including children talking of "revenge"?
Egyptian-born El-Helbawy, one of the founders of the Muslim Association of Britain, said if a solution was not found, he did not expect peace to prevail in the Middle East."Solution" here means nothing less than the total elimination of Israel; El-Helbawy would've been more honest had he prefixed the word "final" to "solution."
El-Helbawy who took part in an interfaith conference between Muslims and Christians in London on Monday, warned the conflict could worsen, particularly if Israel launched a ground invasion."It will get worse," he said. "The Palestinians will not stop, they will defend their country to the last citizen."
El-Helbawy's centre provides insights into global trends in Islamic resurgence, democratisation and extremism in the Muslim world.
Meanwhile, Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak told Parliament on Monday that his country was 'at an all-out war' with Hamas.
"We have stretched our hand in peace many times to the Palestinian people. We have nothing against the people of Gaza," Barak said. "But this is an all-out war against Hamas and its branches."
Barak said Israel was not fighting the residents of Gaza, but wanted to deal Hamas a "severe blow". He warned that the Israeli operation would be "widened and deepened as needed".
The United States - Israel's strongest ally - has said it is up to Hamas to end the violence and commit itself to a truce.
Israel had better get it's licks in now. After our new President takes office, Israel will probably not get the same level of support.

But what contributes most to Al Qaeda, what above all explains not only Al Qaeda, but Lashkar-e-Toiba, and Ansar al-Islam, and Jund al-Muhammad, and Hamas, and Hezbollah, and a thousand other groups or groupuscules, or simply loan individuals, acting in the same spirit, determined to use terrorism against Infidels as their favorite instrument of Jihad, is Islam itself, the Qur'an, the Hadith, the Sira.
One wonders if this Muslim Egyptian really thinks he, and others, can continue to hide from the world's Infidels, or continue to explain away, the contents of the canonical Islamic texts, and the tenets that, for the past 1350 years, have been so easily derived from them. How long does he think such information can continue to be kept from the world's Infidels? And how long does he think the growing army of articulate apostates in the West -- what Muslim, if allowed to develop his brain and his moral sense, outside of Dar al-Islam, would not come to the point of jettisoning Islam, even if not all such abandoners of the faith choose to make that abandonment public, for fear of being ostracised by their families, or much, much worse.
Is Britain renowned for terrorists? I know Islam is but Britain? How can he be an expert at British Terrorism? History, Engineering, Mechanics etc, but definitely not Terrorism. He's not British, he's a Muslim. The word British followed by Muslim is in fact an oxymoron. I just wish our media would get this into prospect. He was born in Egypt, which means he's an Egyptian Muslim that lives in the UK.

The irony is, this "Terrorism expert" and his "Centre for the Study of Terrorism" are funded by the British taxpayer.

These kind of guys always issue such threats. It is part of their psy-war tactics. Before the taliban was to be attacked in Afghanistan, Muslim "experts" told us that the taliban would fight to the last man, last bullet last drop etc. They cut and ran so fast the US and Northern Alliance forces had a hard time keeping up. In the Indian-Pak standoff just recently, Pak "experts" predicted a strong response from the same taliban. Israel probably knows the enemy well enough by now to ignore such drivel from Shiekh Haw Haw.
Israel needs to do what it must to destroy the terrorists and stop the rockets and missiles. If there is a ground offensive, and Israel retakes Gaza, then Israel should retake Gaza for Israel,-
not for Abbas and his PLO Fatah terrorists.

I've seen this comment other places as well. It's possibly a coached and placed allegation.
View for yourself, though, the photos of the local Arabs parading, or protesting, or running randomly about in the streets. It's hard to harmonize sea-lion-obese women and canned-ham-buttocked, walrus-sized men with "starvation" in any way that is commonly understood.
The rational conclusion is that these particular folks, despite all odds, are feeding stupendously well. Perhaps the stringers are too rushed to Photoshop these pictures, or are unfamiliar with the protocols in the program to slim their subjects down to "eating grass" parameters.
