A Jesus message -- you know, one of Islam's prophets -- was found in the children's meal. That this particular Long John Silver's is located in the Mall of America, where catering to Islamic requests/demands appears to be standard, such a response should certainly have been expected.
"CAIR-MN Calls for Probe of Religious Material in Children's Meal," from PR Newswire, December 19:
ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MN) today called on Kentucky-based Yum! Brands, the parent company of the Long John Silver's restaurant chain, to investigate a complaint reported to the Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization involving distribution of religious literature in a children's meal.In November, a Muslim family visited a Long John Silver's restaurant at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn., and ordered a children's meal for their three-year-old son. They noticed that the toy that came with the meal was a small notepad with the phrase "Build with Jesus" written at the top along with a quote from the Bible.[...]
CAIR-MN is asking Yum! Brands to:
1. Investigate the incident.
2. Offer the Muslim family a formal written apology.
3. Review the toy distribution policy for all restaurants and ensure that such incidents are not repeated.
4. Participate in CAIR's sensitivity and diversity training...
CAIR should be fought at every single step they take. Ordinary Americans should dog their every move. Those of us who know have got to spread the facts about this organization. About its muslim-supremacy origin, its treasonous goals, its status as co-conspirator in a terrorism trial, the debacle with Mr. Whitehead...everything.
CAIR does not want facts to come to light and can only stands to lose the more people know about it.
I wonder how we can contact Yum brand. We should flood them with emails encouraging them to ignore CAIR and stand for freedom of religion, free speech and expression. If the Muslim family was offended- too bad!! This nation was founded by Christians so what is next the crosses on churches? More stealth jihad!! CAIR acts like this is some major felony but I suppose in their world it would be, dhimmi status for unbelievers!!! Yum is a private company and if they want to put Christian literature in with a toy, that is their first Amendment right but CAIR does not give a rip about our constitution-do they?
We need to reveal to Yum brand who CAIR really is and why they should ignore their call for diversity training.
YUM should tell them to take their diversity training someplace else- a very hot place.

I guess it's a good thing this nutbag didn't visit a chick-fil-a restaurant and get a kids meal there - although I don't know what the current packages include. They're even open on Friday and closed on Sunday! The horror!
To paraphrase the words of the UK's favorite mohammedan:
"if that is your view then you can "p--- off"."
Wow
You mean there are moslems that can actually read.... incredible.
Perhaps now this moslem family can read, they could be offered classes in civilised behaviour awareness training, with a follow on class in tolerance awareness training.
This could be done as a correspondence course, assuming they can write too.
That they can read and be moslem is a statistical rarity considering literacy rates in the moslem middle east are as low as 30%.
Will CAIR be sending a formal written apology to everyone who walking along a street sees a moslem slogan on a bus?
I guess not.
I agree with both Jr. and eaglecap. The Muslims do not like it go to another resturant!CAIR can get out and go back to IRaq or wherever they came from. They cannot get along with each other or anyone else for that matter.
The proper response by Long John Silver's would be to mount an enormous neon cross above their front door, and get quotes from the bible imprinted on all their place mats & napkins.
==========
By the way, all these lawsuits would be much easier to get rid of if America would simply revive the nearly dead notion of property rights!
Then it would be obvious to all that the proper answer is "It's my restaurant. If you don't like it, eat somewhere else."
...
Need I say that it is only a few steps from there to "It's our country. If you don't like it, live somewhere else."
Don't these people from cair (small letters intentional ) realise how ridiculous they are !
We have to be "Trained" how to deal with muslims?
I think I would be saying to myself "What the Hell is wrong with me when people have to be trained to deal with me"
Get over it you morons! America was a Christian country the last time I checked. Trained - My Ar*e!
NO MORE APOLOGIES for "offended" Muslim sensibilities. It's long past time to draw a line.
Now wait just one cotton pickin' minute here.
As a member of the MAMA team, Moms Ask Mattel for Accountability, you know, the moms who got Wal-Mart to remove Mattel's Little Mommy Cuddle n' Coo Dawa Dollie, I am not going to stand for this horse crap. I've been reading the blogs for weeks with all the idiots who think we moms need to find something else to do with our time because it's no big deal to sneak a message like "Islam is the light" in a little girl's doll. Then ditto for happy meals with "Jesus loves me" in them.
'Sorry Abdullah and Fatima but you don't get to have it both ways, not in my country. And as we saw with the doll campaign, when Americans who are not of the Muslim persuasion stand up against nonsense and bitch as loud as Muslims do, we can get git her done.

I don't know, I may have to get MAMA on this one!
Long John Silvers is still in business???
Yum! is HUGE HUGE HUGE (KFC, Pizza Hut, Long John etc etc) A national marketing outfit like this would NOT have chosen such an item. Don't deluge them with idiotic calls THANKING them for something they simply would not have intentionally done. It got slipped in somewhere along the line, a glitch, or someone on their own initiative.BIG DEAL. Shrug and move on. The Muslims will probably extort $50,000 for the 'trauma' of being exposed to this. Don't be surprised if Mr. Muslim himself brought it with him and 'found' it!
Minnesota again, I see, home of the flying imams, dog- and alcohol- averse taxi drivers, etc. The correct response to CAIR's numbered points is as follows:
1) F*ck off.
2) F*ck off.
3) F*ck off.
4) F*ck off.
Considering that places in America have Islamic "Dawa" Advertising on Public Transportation,(advertising that is "Stealth Jihad Recruitment" with some outward SURFACE Taquiah), a private company excercising its First Amendment Rights now BECOMES ONE OF OUR FRONT-LINES.
CAIR's boldness is HITLERESQUE.
NOBODY STOPPED HITLER, BEFORE IT WAS TOO LATE, EITHER.
We must be MORE COMMITTED to being the IMOVABLE OBJECT ,in order to defeat Islam's continuous COMMITMENT to be the IRRESISTABLE FORCE.
What kind of message are those people sending their child? That Jesus, who is revered by the Muslims as a prophet, is offensive?
But "pious" Muslims seem to have gone off Jesus, haven't they? They don't like Jesus AT ALL.
Shouldn't the Muslims be the ones getting the "sensitivity training"? Training in general civilization, Civilization 101?
That CAIR, despite recent revelations about them, still have the gall to do this kind of thing, says a lot. Relentlessness, brazen and exhausting relentlessness, is their byword, and they are bursting with braggadocio.
I have seen how the dhimmis of Sudan live. They are a minority, and seem to have given up, and accept their fate. We are still WAY in the majority here and we make the laws. So we can beat them at their own game, force them to accept the legitimacy, superiority and determination of our laws, our culture, our ways. I don't mean "persuade", I mean "force".
Unfortunately, this means we will have to find something within ourselves we now find unpalatable, something that is the antithesis of the tolerance and generosity we pride ourselves on. Pride is our weakness; we pride ourselves on being decent and fair-minded. But it is not going to help when we are up against the "fight to the finish" mentality of those who are whipping up Muslim hysteria against the rest of us.
After all, would that family have done anything at all, or even cared, if they didn't have CAIR egging them on? Even the Muslims of Sudan would not have cared!
If i was one to swear in comments.
You would know what i have to say
Jesse Jackson has been shaking down businesses for years with pretended "rage" and "fury" over "racism."
cair is only following the precedent to raise funds -- especially, during the Christian Christmas holiday.
Hopefully, they get lumps of coal and pork-fat in their stockings this year and maybe next year it will be their own chestnuts roasting on an open fire to boot!
Thanks for the edit, Raymond. I deserved it.
These people are worse than a bad dream. At least with a bad dream, you can wake up, roll over, and then get some rest.
lol. A lot of whining going on about CAIR.
I find it humorous when people resort to comparisons with hitler. Seems every side of an argument resorts to this.
Cant someone be judged based on themeselves and not someone else? (ei hitler)
"sensitivity training" can work both ways.
A few ideas for a sensitivity session:
Have Muslims pay the jizia while being slapped on the face.
Have the group being "sensitized" recite "certain" verses of the Koran while replacing "Jews" or "Christians" with the word Muslim(s)
etc.
"lol. A lot of whining going on about CAIR." - islamfactor.org
On the contrary, the whining - as usual - is from CAIR. Perhaps you find it funny, islamfactor, but we've had enough of that criminal organization's perpetual demands in pursuit of their Muslim Brotherhood agenda.
Had Adolph not been so busy worshipping himself, he would have made an excellent, and pious Mohammadan, probably of ayatollah or mufti level...
And CAIR?...CAIR is dead, killed by greed and materialistic consumption.
But don't worry it's all part of Allah's secret plan. No one knows what it is because it's a secret...
This is outreageous. I cannot understand why anything like that can happen in the judeo-christian world.
CAIR is obviously not a tolerant and democratic organisation, as they pretend to be. They are trying to undermine the free world.
We are not allowed to build synagogues or churches in muzz countries. Jews are banned from entering Saudi Arabia.
And they want to lecture as about sensitivity towards their religion?
It's utter crap, dear CAIR. Get your own lessons about sensitivity.
Here's an eye opener....
WASHINGTON (CNS)
Dec.16th..U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom said Iraq deserved the designation as one of the world's worst violators of religious freedom "in light of the ongoing, severe abuses of religious freedom and the iraqu government's toleration of these abuses, particularly abuses against Iraq's smallest vulnerable religious minorities" The commission said Chaldean Catholics and other Christians face dire circumstances. "These groups do not have militia or tribal structures to protect them and do not receive adequate official protections" Their members continue to experience targeted violence and to flee to other areas within Iraq or other countries, where the minorities represent a disproportionately high percentage among Iraqi refugees. The commission, an independent body, makes its recommendations to the president, secretary of state and Congress. Four commissioners out of nine voting members dissented from the decision to name Iraq as a country of particular concern, saying that government inaction or complicity with such abuses had not been established sufficiently.
My comment Sharia at work
What will Obama do?
Support CAIR vs Long John Silver or
Chaldean Catholics and Christians? Surely he'll be made aware of this...what about W at present?
Let's skip the investigation and move straight to mass deportation, closing the mosques, closing the madrassas, and ending muslim immigration to our country.
You've got to pity the poor, bewildered Moslem family. They saw the sign Long John Silver, and knew that he was a pirate, snd so they naturally assumed that it was a Moslem establishment. After all, founder Mo was a pirate himself, and piracy was the mainstay of the Islamic economy for centuries, and still is.
Exposesithlords, the literacy rate of the Muslim world would actually be less than 1% if they were held to the same standard of literacy as Westerners or Israelis (an 8th grade education):
http://islammonitor.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=1475&Itemid=66
This is the most narcissistic thing I've ever heard of, an organization that puts fraudulent dawa ads on buses trying to stop a little Jesus toy. Fine. They can put the Mo in a bomb turban figure in there if CAIR hats Jesus so much.
America needs no "training." We have all the training we need. It's called legitimate (i.e., non-Islamic) education. That's why we're a functioning society. If you can't cope with that society then leave.
First they came for Piglet, then they came for Jesus, and next the American flag. Oh wait, they already took issue with the pledge of allegiance, which is all I need to know about those sickos.
There have been so many of these frivolous lawsuits of late, in both the UK and the USA - Muslims claiming to have been 'offended' by this or that. And some of these cases have been out and out hoaxes.
Poetcomic1 raised this matter when, after initially speculating that the toy may have been slipped in 'somewhere along the line' by an employee of the franchise (or by an employee of whoever supplies the toys/ kiddy activity packs that are handed out to kid customers), he raised a second, different possibility:
"Don't be surprised if Mr. Muslim himself brought it with him and 'found' it!"
- Posted by: poetcomic1 at December 20, 2008 6:54 PM
Hands up everyone who thinks poetcomic1's second scenario may well be correct.
Question: has anyone here ever dined at outlets of that particular chain? Has anyone here ever bought kiddie meals? What kinds of toys or 'activity packs' are normally given out?
If I were the reporter I'd have gone straight to the restaurant in question to find out whether any other families - non-Muslims - on the same day, or in that week or month, had received identical note-pads with identical text.

dumbledoresarmy,
I might be going to a nearby city with a Long John Silver's outlet tomorrow.
If so, I'll check it out.
at the long john silver's in saudi arabia you get a little plastic toy statue of the world trade towers on 9/11.
Don't like the food, the leave. Don't like our country, then leave and quit trying to make us adopt to your perverted lifestyle, cult and life under sharia law. I think LJS's should add Pork products to their menu. We should ship some bacon and a case of beer to every CAIR office across the country. Take you multiculturalism, sensitivity training and put it where the sun does not shine. We do not need sensitivity training! Yum brands does not need sensitivity traiining in regard to islam or muslims. I am already over sensitized about islam, little pervert man mo, and you muslims that have to be the vitcims! Boo Hoo! Always the victims. What a surprise that it happened in Minnesota. USA need to be a muslim free continent!
CAIR is anti America, anti US Constitution, anti freedom, anti free speech, anti life and pro Hell. Could someone please tell them where they can go?
You guys, when you tell them to leave they are not going to because they know they can pull this garbage and they have CAIR behind them, backed up by U.S. Congressmen, Keith Ellison (check out his pretty green HAMAS signs on the top of his web page at http://www.keithellison.org/network08.htm) and the new Congress-dhimmi on the block, Gerry Connolly from Northern VA. They want to colonize us and they make no bones about it. And they are getting away with it because the average American hasn't bothered to look into it.
I was at a Christmas party last night with business associates and I told them what it is like to live under Shariah. When I got to the part about Muslim men's supposed sexual rights and explained the Ayatollah Khomeini's teachings on having sex with little girls, including infants, everyone squirmed and started to move away. One guy asked me more questions about it and when I told him about the murder of Sarah and Amina Said his ears pricked up and he wanted to know more. He said to me, "A father murdered his daughters?" and he couldn't believe it, but I saw the light bulb go off above his head and he wanted to know more. But this was one guy in a group of six people. The rest just wandered away.
It makes people feel icky to have to hear about the mandated rights of Muslim men to be allowed to have sex with little girls, but it is important that it is put out there because the average American doesn't think like that, doesn't countenance such behavior and would never agree to surrender his/her daughters to such practices. But we need to grow up here and face what we don't want to, that their is a vile and relentless ideology that is coming for us and our kids, and if we don't want to be overwhelmed and overtaken by it we need to stand up, and not just stand firm but agressively pursue it, pull it our by it's roots and destroy it. It really does come down to us or them.
BTW, I third what posters said above about the Muslim sneaking the Jesus notebook into the happy meal. What are the odds in this day and age of a Bible versed toy appearing in a national food chain's marketing strategy? Interesting how we've heard no response or rebuttal from the management of the Long John Silvers in question. But then, if you are making it up and lying as you go along it would not help the cause to have the LJS come out and say that this simply didn't happen.
And one last thing, CAIR is not in any way defunct. According to the field director for ACT! for America who I talked to on Friday, CAIR is still very busy working to undermine our country and doing business as usual. So we can't slack off or even take a breather now, not if we still want to have an America we know and love in ten years time. (Look at how much they've pulled in the mere seven years since 9/11.)
Isabella, you've been scarce lately. You never call anymore. You don't bring me flowers. Seriously, though, we miss you. Bless your heart for your work for ACT! Our local chapter's email box has been full for months. It's basically a front. I would do domething about it but I'm no doubt the only anti-jihadist, or even non-Obama voter, in Bloomingtonistan.
Isabella
way to go, lady!
There used to be a slogan about how to spread grassroots literacy. It went 'each one teach one'.
Thanks to you, one nice American businessman now 'gets' it, at the gut level, that Islam, sharia law, permits men to marry, and have nonconsensual marital relations with, little girls.
You told him all about Aisha, I'm sure, and the Ayatollah Khomeini revising the marriageable age downward to nine, and the Qur'an verse that talks about girls who have been married - and divorced - before they even got their periods. Maybe you mentioned all those horrendous cases of girls of 8 and 9 and 10 and 11 being wedded and bedded in Afghanistan and Yemen and Morocco and Saudi Arabia, that have turned up here at jihadwatch from time to time. And the kidnapping of little 13 year old Catholic Saba Masih, seized by Muslim thugs in Pakistan, and 'married' to - and raped by - a Muslim the very next day.
OK - you bet this guy, who's 'got' it, goes home and tells his wife. And his wife, if she checks it out and finds out he's right, goes off and tells the other ladies in the PTA - 'did you *know*...???!!!!". And the ladies go home and tell their husbands...
Yes, dda, hopefully...
Last night I was telling a lesbian friend my opinion about polygamy (we had been talking about how much we hated mass immigration).
I said we in the West suffer from polygamy because so many Muslim men who cannot get wives (not enough women left over after the greedy ones take a few) are swarming to the West. look at the "boat people" for instance,; how many of them are young men? Then when they get here and settle down, they, now in receipt of Western benefits, can claim for themselves one or two girls from home.
She started to get a prim look on her face, and changed the subject. She hates me saying anything negative about Islam.
The trouble is, people from "minority" groups, such as homosexuals, are terrified that if any changes are made to the entire multicultural/tolerance/progressive edifice, everything will crumble and they too will be targeted. They confine themselves in a prison of ideology even though it endangers them, and they don't trust people like us who they suspect are hypocritical regarding our acceptance of their homosexuality.
A hard nut to crack, this fear.
Send CAIR some cheese to go with their whine.
Howdy boys and girls,
Well, I very much appreciate you guys saying such nice things and I miss you too. I have been up to my eyeballs in Dawa Dollies, yakking at Target managers, answering e-mails from concerned parents and of course, my business picked up in the meantime. And on top of that my dad passed away on November 30th but we just buried him this past Wednesday so I've had friends and siblings from here out of state this past week and I've been planning a memorial for Sarah and Amina Said to take place in D.C. on December 29th with our ACT! chapter. I'm also the sibling that lives the nearest to my mom so I've been keeping an eye on her and making sure she's okay, so it's been nuts. Regarding my dad, he had a very peaceful, spiritual death and we were with him so it was a good experience and much better than I could have ever hoped for so I'm okay.
I figure you guys would rather me go out and make a frontal assault on the jihad rather than chat here if you had your druthers but I have to get back here once in a while to stay sane. This week I should be on here more. We're getting ready for another covert attack though and it's going to be a doozy. The jihadis keep handing us these great opportunities to teach average Americans about Shariah and why we don't want it here. It's like raining pennies from heaven. In their never ending arrogance they keep shooting themselves in the foot and we are there to take full advantage of it. (I love fighting jihad! It is blast.)
I encourage you all to get involved with ACT! for America or contact us at www.labelthatdoll.com and we can hook you up. ; )
Didn't you Americans just elect a left wing ideologue that's fond of moral relativism and wants to make friends with the muslim world? Where were you all on November 4th? Don't get me wrong, I despise cair and its underhanded stealth jihad, lawfare and systematic state of fake-offense for political gain but you're preaching to the choir here. Either send an e-mail to http://www.yum.com/contact/Checkage.asp telling then not to bend over for cair or go vote in four years but aside from letting off a little steam and being loads of fun, posting here serves very little purpose. Now if everyone who took the time to post takes the same amount of time to write Yum.com or some elected official telling them how offended you are at cair's lack of respect towards Christianity and their need for sensitivity training, that would be a start.
No, JBH, we did not just elect Obama. A bunch of mindless, useful idiot, Kool-Aid drinkers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zl0WwC9OcOI and dead people with an address did.
And you are wrong about blogging here. This is where I learned all about jihad and this site and the people on it inspired me to go out and do something about it.
Hey, if you're in D.C. on December 29th, meet us in front of the steps of the Supreme Court building at 6:00pm and help us remember two American girls, Sarah and Amina Said, who were viciously murdered this past New Year's Day by their Muslim father who got his feelings/honor hurt and could only repair the damage by shooting them in cold blood at close range and torturing Sarah to death. What a guy! So courageous; so intelligent; so Muslim.
Long John Silver Restaurants serve shellfish, haram to Moslems. what were those jerks doing in a restaurant that is not halal?
I hear ya Isabellethecrusader, we have Aqsa Parvez up here in Canada who had the temerity to remove her hijab when she got to school. Her father and brother restored the family's honor by killing her. (How surreal was that sentence!) And I agree, blogs are a good start but it sometimes feels like sitting around talking with friends. I try, for every post I write, to keep some of the righteous indignation that prompted me to post to also send a Letter to the Editor, or to my Member of Parliament or even the people in the story that motivated me to post in the first place, like Yum.com and cair in this case.
As far as the Kool-Aid drinkers go, if the One has all the Peggy Josephs in his pocket, I fear you're in for quite a fight for the next few elections. Free gas and mortgages, that's hard to beat.
Isabella - glad to hear that your father departed in peace. I was praying for him and for your family.
You're amazing! It's great to hear what you've been doing.
I think this place serves two functions 1. education (teaching the newbies who lob in all the time -many of whom do not post, but merely lurk, and read, and learn) 2. morale building and brainstorming. I'm trying to steer my own posts away from mere 'venting' toward educating and 'value adding'. I try to remember the invisible hundreds, even thousands, who lean over our shoulders; many or most of whom may know little or nothing about Islam, when they first visit.
You've 'graduated' so to speak: you've learned what you needed to know and now you're off applying it. Davegreybeard is doing the same, spreading his anti-jihad leaflets far and wide. 'Dag' formed his library discussion group...and then they got together and did some protesting, boots on the ground.
Other 'graduates' along the way, have done the same; many, I suspect, without ever taking a nom de plume and posting.
JBH,
Yeah, I know what you mean. Before this year I just read everything that came up on JW and never stopped telling my family about it. My parents were worried that I was too into it because I have been driven. I even stopped posting for a while back in April because my priest forbid it because it was like an addiction. But that was only for about a month or six weeks and because I was supposed to learn something from not checking it every day. It was funny because I gave myself little excuses like, I'll just read it, I won't post anything. But every time I even got in here my business would go to hell in a hand basket and after a while I stopped knocking my head against the wall. But later I talked to my priest about it and he said it was okay to take it in small doses. What I learned from that experience is that I was supposed to be out and doing something about it rather than on the net chatting. (I'm a big chat-ter.)
There are so many groups out there working behind the scenes, just like the psychos. And we find each other, like metal and magnets. If you get involved you will meet the big wigs because they are happy to have you and to teach you what they know. I've met so many of the "usual suspects" that Robert posts about here that I feel like a kid in a candy store! All because I stumbled upon this site five years ago, started reading and kept on. Thank you, Robert, for my advanced degree from JWU.
Here's the other thing; after the Saudi Academy protest in June I was invited to sit in on a strategy phone conference with some heavy duty anti-jihad talent and as I listened I thought, WHOA! I am in way over my head here. People were using acronyms and it was like a meeting of the joint chiefs of staff. I didn't see what I could offer except that I had a burning desire to protect our Christian roots and, lets be honest, Muslim men piss me off and the thought of these knuckle-dragging neanderthals running the place like some table cloth mafia is just too absurd, especially when you meet the anti-jihad guys in person. But the message I got from these fine folks is that everyone has something to offer and we all learn from each other.
Like Robert I am always struck by their gracious demeanor when I meet them and how glad they are to see me and how they all have a chivalrous spirit of almost courtly gentleman behavior, the polar opposite of some of the sexually voracious Muslim guys I've met or known. It is a fine company and worth preserving and anyone who wants to help can join in. I'm so fortunate but if I can do it anyone can.
Something to remember here too folks, most of the time only a handful of people ever really get up and do anything but they are the ones who can change everything. And I'm realizing that God is calling us now to take a stand and he is raising up warriors among the little people, and you don't have to be a power source, just a vessel because he will do the driving.
God doesn't want little girls sacrificed on the altar of lust to middle aged men who know better. He doesn't want Muslim cowards who hide behind mummified face scarves, mugging for the camera, tying people up, putting them in a hole, pouring petrol on them from a water bottle and then lighting them on fire, like I saw on Atlas Shrugs last week. He didn't make women to be covered in smothering, restrictive, hard to breathe Hefty bags or men to bang their heads on the floor and worship an idol of death: Allah the imposter, Allah the impotent, Allah the worthless. All this crap was made up by men and its wrong and its up to us, like those who stood up before us against Islam throughout history, to say, Uh-uh, we are not going to be doing it this way and if you insist then we's gonna tangle.
The knights are present now, just as in olden days, you just can't see their shining mail or long swords. But the spirit is just as alive now as it was when Queen Isabella or Charles Martel were walking the earth and you know why? Because all people on some level, deep down know that Islam is inherently evil and it ruins whole generations and as far as we've gotten away from worshiping the True God and allowed some pretty immoral things to flourish in our midst we still have some inkling that there is a right and wrong and people live better under the one set of circumstances rather than the other.
So don't think you can't do anything or that gathering here is a waste of time. We gather here and continue learning until we are called to stand up and act, some sooner than others. And this, along with for me, the Mass and the Rosary, is where I come to get replenished, rejuvenated and supported by like minded individuals.
But I digress.
Dumbledore,
Thanks for the prayers for my dad. I appreciate them very much and I know they helped him. He was in a coma for the last several hours on that Sunday and lying on his back with his mouth and eyes half open. My youngest daughter was in praying out loud for him and all of a sudden he closed his eyes and mouth real tight and a little tear came out. She came and got us and he died right then, but I know he heard her saying her St. Bridget prayers. We all went in and prayed over him as he left and it was an amazing thing to be with him then. He died right around 3:00pm in the afternoon and as my daughter said, "Mom, that's when Jesus died." It was also on November 30th which is St. Andrew's feast day and the last day of the month of the poor souls. I have a special devotion to them so I know he got out in one piece and he's okay.
As for being amazing, I'm not. I'm just a chick who hates injustice, especially when it comes to someone stronger abusing someone weaker, and who likes a good fight! And when it comes to sex I think everyone has the right to choose between right and wrong and not be forced to have sex against their will, especially little innocent children. To preserve childrens' innocence is one of the biggest driving factors in my fight against Islam and jihad. (Hence, no invitations to Islam in a Cuddle n' Coo baby doll!)
Isabella
it's interesting that your priest made you take a break from JW/DW.
I did the same during Lent this year, for much the same reasons.
And came back on after attending our church's Easter service, just in time to read the report on the baptism of ex-Muslim Magdi Cristiano Allam - who by submitting to be baptised by the Pope, in St Peter's during the great paschal liturgy, at the height of what we might call the Third Jihad, will quite possibly one day be known as the most famous apostate from Islam, to Christianity, in all of history. What a joyful story to come back to!
I'm still trying to work out what I'm supposed to be doing, in terms of boots on the ground. I'm thinking about the group you mentioned to me.
Pray that I'll be able to find *my* appointed job, here in the Great South Land of the Holy Spirit - terra incognita del espiritu santo. And I will, of course, keep on praying for *you*.
