and a very Happy Hanukah from "Saturday People" to "Sunday People"!

Happy Chanukkah - to all our Jewish friends :-)

Posting from India, it was sad that this year had to be the first that Jewish blood was deliberately targeted and spilt on September 26th, but may that encourage us to confront not only our Mohammedan enemies, but the PCMC masses (both in the West, Israel and India) who (wittingly or unwittingly) enable them.

Right back at ya--Happy Hannukah from the "Sunday People" to the "Saturday People"!

And a Happy Winter Solstice to all who celebrate! Sunday was the shortest day of the year--more and more light in the coming months.

Happy Channukah to all the jewish jihadwatchers and long live JihadWatch

Happy Channukah!

Happy Channukah!

And Peace.

Yes: a happy Hanukkah, from a 'Sunday person' to all the 'Saturday' (let's say, 'Sabbath') people who read and/or post at jihadwatch.

WE. OWE. YOU. (For anyone who hasn't read it, Tom Cahill's The Gifts of the Jews is an easily accessible book that begins to set out - for 'christendom' and its descendants - the extent of that civilisational debt).

And I commend the books of the Maccabees (which can be found in any Catholic Bible) to any non-Jewish person here who has not yet read them. It's a story worth knowing. Antiochus was one of the worst enemies the Jewish people and their faith have ever faced.

The card I sent to my Jewish friend this week bore the tagline: 'Hanukkah reminds us that faith lights the way to miracles'.

May it be so. May it be so. Let us hope and pray that the coming year (Christian time)/ the present year (Jewish time) will be a year of both faith and of miracles. (Which does not at all mean that we should sit on our bottoms; as a very Jewish-minded James said, in his letter in the Christian scriptures, faith without works, faith that is not expressed in deeds, is dead: "What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has not deeds?...faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by actions, is dead".)

The Maccabees are a very early example of the maxim, 'Praise God...and pass the ammunition'.

Remember the Macchabees--Long Live Zion!

I remember at this Festival of Lights that the Jews gave Light to the World.

חג אורים שמח

Thank you guys! Happy Hanukkah to all of y'all as well. Everyone can get down with the festival of lights, can't they?

I also want to thank you guys for all of your support for Israel and Jews more generally. That was one of the things that really caused me to gravitate toward JW. I'm not just talking about the posters, either, but to the whole JW crew, who frequently report on events in Israel, who realize Israel's significance in the world, and who are well-versed in its history.

You guys are the best!

God bless us, one and all, and particularly the JW team who work tirelessly bringing Light into darkness. Have a happy Hannuka and Christmas and also a blessing for the soltice witch...

Happy Chanukkah and Merry Christmas!

(Kwanza's not really a holiday...)

Thank You Robert, and all JW posters. May you all have a Happy Channukah, Merry Christmas, Happy winter solstice. Where I live I often feel like I am alone on an island because of my beliefs, my religion and how I feel about islam. Here. I am not alone.I find wisdom, support and education. Your tireless efforts in supporting Jews and Israel is a brightness that is very welcome and deeply appreciated. If my Mother was still alive she would have appreciated all of you, and your supportof Israel and us Jews.

L'chaim and Mazel tov!

Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas to all at JW/DW
Where would we be without your wisdom, news and comments.

At this time of year spare a thought for Iraqi Christians who number only 500,000 now. Also remember Canon Andrew White, Vicar of Baghdad and St Georges who continues to work with his flock under great danger and constant threat.

Happy Chanukah and a Merry Christmas to all here.
May 2009 bring all non-troll JWers health, prosperity, success in spreading enlightenment about the true nature of Islam, and easy posting on JW/DW despite KeyPad's worst efforts.

Oops! I meant TypePad's worst efforts. Sorry.

Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, and Happy Yalda. Best wishes for all the persecuted "people of the book" in Islamic countries during this time of year. Pray for them all.

I went by San Francisco's Union Square last night, with its huge community menorah lit with the Hanukkah season's first light. A beautiful sight.

(At the moment this should link to a picture).

'Celebrating Chanukah in the city … thousands of people attended Chanukah in the City in Melbourne’s Federation Square on December 22.

'The event was organised by the Jewish Community Council of Victoria and the City of Melbourne.

'New lord mayor Robert Doyle joined student Zvi Schweitzer in lighting two candles on the giant chanukiah."
