In mad pursuit of The Big Story, CNN unwittingly aids the Islamic jihadists it wouldn't dare name as such. From the South Wales Echo, November 29 (thanks to Anne Crockett):
A SOUTH Wales couple caught in the Mumbai terror attacks claimed last night that CNN put their lives at risk by broadcasting where they were.Lynne and Kenneth Shaw, of Penarth, warned that terrorists were listening in to the media to pinpoint Western victims....
From her home in Penarth yesterday, Mrs Shaw said: “We have been asked by the British terror police not to talk to the press.
“But the reason I would not want to talk to anyone is because our safety was actually compromised by CNN, which broadcast where we were.
“The terrorists were watching CNN and they came down from where they were in a lift after hearing about us on television. For that reason I would appeal to the media to be very careful about what they broadcast.
“When we left Mumbai there were still around 100 people trapped there.”
She added: “People talk to one another on mobile phones and that gets broadcast and the terrorists knew from that.”
A spokesman for CNN, said: “CNN has received no complaint from any individual regarding our coverage and their safety. We take such matters very seriously.
“We had CNN and Turner Broadcasting employees staying trapped at the Taj hotel during the attacks, and were vigilant about anything we broadcast that could compromise the safety of those inside.
“We are not aware of the allegedly compromising broadcast, but even in the absence of key details such as when and where, we will continue to check.”
CNN and others seem perfectly willing to respect the privacy of those Muslim terrorists they interview. (We were taken to an undisclosed location. We promised to protect their anonymity, etc.)
How disgusting. Cannot even admit that they were in the wrong - I mean, I get that they never will, they are after all the "infalible" media. This is quite ironic, too, that these people are bringing attention to this. On Thanksgiving day, when we arrived at our family's house, they had CNN on and asked if we were following the news about Mumbai. I told them that I had been and that I was pissed that they were trying to blame this on "Hindu Extremists". Almost instantaneously, we all agreed that the folks at CNN were tools for broadcasting the locale of those still inside the hotel. Needless to say, there was a collective face-to-palm moment in the living room accompanied by a resounding "Idiots!"
Actually, this was a concern I had at the time. I know the press gave details on several callers as to their locations. For one thing, I knew from watching CNN that many guests and staff at the Taj Hotel were hiding in the basement. I remember worrying at the time that the gunmen might use this information and go after them.
I doubt they deliberately intended to put anyone in danger, but I didn't see them taking any steps to insure callers' safety, either.
I agree from experience that CNN probably would have been more circumspect if they had gotten one of the terrorists on the phone. What does that say about the media?
To espect probity from Ted Turner and his Socialist Network is asking for too much.

There was no "aware/unaware." They just didn't care. Any news group that reported locations didn't stop to think at all because they don't care. The story first and always. A shame they didn't use this same vigor when real questions about Obama came about.
CNN did the same thing with some lawyer that was holed up in his room at the Trident Hotel. The commentator wouldn't say where he was, yet the banner running along the bottom of the screen boldly announced he was at the Trident. I thought at the time "how stupid, what idiots"....

They would have broadcasted every shady association of Obama's and long with the Sharia MoU in Kenya. They would have called the murders of Amina and Sarah Said "honor killings." Strange that none of the media (TV or Print) have picked this up at all. Or have they been deliberately ignoring it?

Tying a red thread or cord around the wrist is a Hindu practice and it is unlikely a Muslim, especially one politicized enough to carry out an attack such as this, would observe it. I think this provides more evidence that this was a false flag operation or at least an attack by a non-Muslim group. Additionally, the terrorists inside the Nariman House Building were reported to have stocked up on supplies on Wednesday evening, buying not just food items but liquor, among other things, from a local store. Again, it is highly unlikely that a Muslim, let alone a 'Mujahid', and especially one politicized enough to carry out such an attack, would consume liquor in normal life, let alone hours before his inevitable 'martyrdom'.
Don't let them ignore it. Circulate this to as many people as you can as we strongly believe it wouldn't have been ignored if the terrorists were carrying a copy of the Qur'an, or a taveez.

The reason the Jihadi (Qasav) tied that band around his hand was to make people around him think he was a Hindu before he started acting out his plan. Mohammedans here know how to dress and act like Hindus in preparation for their tasks, so that they don't automatically draw suspicion. CNN has an affiliate in India, IBN, with a live feed on the web. IBN was disastrously bad throughout.
