cnn is the al-bbc of US. I stopped watching it since their coverage of 9/11 which put al-jazeera to shame in their utter sickening dhimmitude.

Just like the al-bbc, cnn is the voice of islam but unlike al-bbc, it is not funded by a tax on ordinary people who do not wish to watch it. Vote with your feet and stop watching it, hopefully it will go away, unlike al-bbc who is not answerable to anyone and its broadcasters blatantly display antisemitism and never miss an opportunity to vilify the US, India and Israel.

For the life of me, I do not comprehend the media's adoration of an ideology that teaches hatred toward them (and everything they stand for!) just as much as it teaches hatred for the rest of us.

I was sickened to see Arwa Damon, an al-CNN correspondent in Mecca, saying over and over again how that zombie-fest known as Hajj was all about "getting close to god and performing the rituals performed by prophet pedophile 1400 years ago."

That crap should have been described for what it is... A display of the harm that islam unequivocally does to one's mental health. There's no closeness to god in performing the hajj and its rituals, and all that there is to it is that it shows how far away muslims are from having any sanity left in their pea-brains.

What I have noticed on Reuters online is articles about the Hajj next to headlines like "Israel attacks Gaza again". Religion of Peace?

Since CNN has spent so much time covering the Hajj, in order to show us evil Americans just how peacefull Islam really is I thought I'd share with you guys the new word I made up. I didn't make it up for CNN, but it applies to them. I made it up for the story about the suprise around the continued jihad in the Phillipines, and the frustration around not being able to reach out to the "hearts and minds" of the peacefull moooslimbs there.

New word dhimmiverse:

The false world construct that believes in a peaceful utopian multicultural society (that includes Islam). One where every creed is equal, and since every creed is equal knowing one thing about one creed extrapolates easily into universal knowledge. People that reside in the dhimmiverse are all wise, and all knowing demigods using this extrapolative dogma. This dogma is exemplified in the dhimmiverse credo, "jihad is peace" the universal wisdom and heights of abstract wisdom that can be attained under this world view construct. The purpose of the knowledge contained within easily explains away the fact that every self proclaimed jihadist has committed an act of violence, wants to commit an act of violence, or is helping others commit acts of violence.

The fact that people in the West are interested in a foreign spectacle doesn't mean they are ready to swear off pork and wine. In the past one would see news reels of people bathing in the Ganges, or news reels of Buddhist temples. Very few Americans have become Buddhists and very few have become Hindu - this is not meant as a criticism of either religion it is simply a statement of fact. During my lifetime the only American born Muslims I have known were either children of foreign born ones or members of the NOI (and some who became regular Muslims by way of the NOI). I guarantee that most of us here will have similar experiences.

The value of an ideology (and Islam is certainly and ideology) isn't measured by the number of its adherants. If that gives something value, Maoism must have been the best ideology in the world.

Islam is growing becuase its people have large families and the West has invented medical technology that allows these large broods to survive infancy - Salk or Sabin Willing.

Several points here,, where non-Muslims and even muslims not muslim enough are not allowed to circle the black rock, CNN takes Chrisians and other non Muslims to see this circus that previously were not allowed to peer into. Only muslims can twist the truth to suit their needs. And secoundly who watchs CNN? And lastly you can turn off the TV and or switch stations, Fox still beats all others!

I have a confession...

"Know thy enemy"...is an essential part of defeating one's enemy. This is why most of us here have become pseudo-experts on the Quran and the Hadith.

Well folks, the liberal media is also the enemy, and while I can patiently listen and learn while an Islamic extremist spews his hatred, I simply don't have the patience to listen to CNN or any network besides FOX. When I try, I get so angry at the utter stupidity and end up turning the channel.

We need to monitor the liberal media in order to keep ourselves and each other informed on what's being sold to the American people.

Any words of wisdom on how to do so without kicking out the TV screen?

Good point, Jerry. People read Nation Geographic or watch newscasts like CNN's for a variety of reasons, but one strong reason is to check out weird, "exotic" scenes--Indian fakirs who stand on one leg for years, Tibetan throat singers, East African pygmies, Tuareg camel herders permanently died blue from their turbans, "giraffe" women of Burma, the near-medieval Buddhist kingdom of Mustang...

This does not mean that most Westerners want to run out and adopt these "lifestyles". Most Westerners are more open to foreign influences than they used to be, sure--but for most of us, that means trying an intriguing kabob recipe in Cook's Magazine, buying a tagine pot, or decorating with kilims--not rushing to intone the Shahada and start wearing a burka.

This at the same time that they are talking about how Islam is defeating Christianity and the West. Obviously their concept of "improving relations between the West and Islam" does not involve mutual respect, but just an acknowledgement on the part of the West that Islam has defeated them.

CNN is based in the US but takes the tack of "globalism". Never mind the money they get through advertisement is mainly to Americans.
They even tried to be "neutral" during the war.
I don't think being neutral is advisable when we are trying to save civilization from the barbarians who will end the free press.

It might be amusing if someone here could dig out of the bowels of a library, somewhere, Burton's and (am I right?) Hurgronje's accounts of the Hajj.

Imagine if someone in our media were game to read out loud, in connection with TV coverage of the Hajj, these classic accounts - detached, amused, infinitely sophisticated, ruthlessly realistic - by people who, being very typical Westerners, were so insatiably curious that they were prepared to go to the extreme lengths - and mortal danger - of pretending to be Muslims and going on the hajj, just to find out just exactly *what* was inside that damned black box!

And they 'faked it' so successfully that they were able indeed to do this, and satisfy their curiosity - a very different thing from blind Muslim devotion - and then go home and tell *everybody else* in their own Infidel societies, all without ever getting suckered into Islam.

Hope CNN continues to keep things rolling when the shiite hits the fan and there are tramplings, etc.

One could make quite an amusing movie out of the hajj: "And now in the main ring, it's the circumambulation of the Kaaba; X times to the left, X times to the right, Y times fast, Y times slow." Then: "next, to the side-show, where the casting of stones at the pillar is beginning."
And: "right after our station break, we'll return, for the running up the hill, X times fast, Y times slow."
And of course the frequent recourse to the resident expert: "Tell me, Mahmoud, about these drinks from the flim-flam well; are these real thirst-quenchers, or just token sips?"

Here is my two bits of thinking:

BETTER education would be a step in the right direction. Especially when based on the concept that democracy is an attempt to establish a rational society based on the ethical principle of political equality.

THE ONLY true universal principle is rationality, so the democracies have an obligation to teach the elementary principles of logic so people can distinguish a false claim from a true one. That alone would have made advancement of the ideologies of Marxism, Fascism, Nazism and Islam impossible in the democracies.

THE STUPIDITY and biased news pouring out of dhimmitude msm media like al-BBC and al-CNN is made possible because money can buy political influence and acquire mass media to promote a specific political agenda.

WITH INTERNET and the many blogs democrasisation finally forces the media world towards the basic democratic principle of political equality.

I always watch the news on CNN international and I got somewhat annoyed by the intense coverage of the hajj.

What is so interesting about some morons worshipping a stone and this barbaric stoning of the devil? It only makes them more aggressive and they want to stone Jews and Christians instead.

I got especially annoyed when Arwa Damon quoted a British psychiatrist - who had been there several times - saying that this trip always gave her great strength for her work and life as if it were a spiritual event.

I think this is a syntax error when they say Islam will be "shining all over the world." I do believe they meant to write "exploding all over the world." Please be more careful next time.

I agree. A few years ago, I saw a small film clip of the "stoning of the devil" ritual--I believe this was the year when a large number of people were trampled to death.

I could well imagine that this might have happened--the participants seemed completely unglued, shrieking and lobbing stones at a stand of stone pillars. I was glad I was well away from this scene of violent insanity.

I'm fascinated by the Hajj and the other-worldly rituals. There have been some interesting documentaries on Nat Geo I think. I don't watch CNN much so I missed the coverage.

About CNN - The network face they project is set by management policies, as it is with all networks. CNN is owned by Ted Turner, last time I checked. The pretty faces on CNN (and there are some spectacularly beautiful women - Robin Meade is my favorite), Wolfe Blitzer, Christiane Amanpour, all of them, are, in the end, simply employees who work very hard on their smooth deliveries to project the image that Uncle Ted wants projected. Remember, Ted Turner? He's the guy who married Hanoi Jane Fonda. So, the question is, why does he soft peddle Islam? Above all, what financial advantages are in it for him?

I agree with jdamn and gravenimage about the attraction that Islam has for civilized people. I think there are two additional ingredients in this revolting stew: First, Muslims are the modern equivalent of the eighteenth-century noble savage. As news about natives in exotic places spread among Europeans, haters of their own cultures imputed traits to them that were deliberately the reverse of what they hated in their own societies. The second ingredient is implied in the first: hatred of one's own society. That accounts for the otherwise inexplicable approval of Islam, especially among sophisticated people who are pious believers in the official ideology of anti-Westernism: multiculturalism, a corollary of which is: "Anyone who hates us can't be all bad."

CNN, MSNBC, NY TIMES, etc. are just as much an enemy as islam. While FOX news is not as bad as all the others there is still an unacceptable level of Dhimmitude running through their network so be careful putting to much faith in them.

We don't have CNN in the UK, but as you all know we have the BBC. Our media is responsible for the indoctrination of our society. Whether it's the Newspaper or the Television, how our society behaves is overwhelmingly down to both. If our governments state that Islam is a Religion of Peace then you can guarantee that our newspapers and TV channels will follow suit. After all, the sue culture is alive and kicking and seeking revenge if anything bad is written about Islam.
You may remember previous posts of mine on the subject but, just to repeat again, the BBC has now had Anjem Choudary on their channel twice now(possible more) and they were on Newsnight and Hard Talk. He of course spewed his vile filth for all to hear. This of course is a great bonus for the Islamists in the UK and the West for the simple reason that publicity whether good or bad is still publicity.
The BBC, the BRITISH BROADCASTING CORPORATION, I know ironic isn't it, will have interviews with this vile man and yet will not allow anyone from the BNP to speak. Now, even though I have never voted for them, I am angry that I'd rather have them on the BBC than any Islamist wanting destruction of the UK and the West, when the BNP are trying to preserve our heritage and culture.

What can we do about it? Well people of course have said that we should not watch them which is a good start, but unfortunately here in the UK, WE HAVE TO PAY the TV license fee, which actually is the BBC 'funding' fee. It's the biggest con known in the UK. To my American friends, it was set up when the BBC first started broadcasting way back in the mid 19th Century. However, they should have changed it a long time ago as the BBC stopped becoming the only TV station broadcasting to the UK a long time ago. Other channels - ITV, CH4 and CH5 now broadcast from the UK, yet they do not receive any of this fee. If you do not pay the fee then you face a fine and imprisonment - EVEN IF YOU NEVER WATCH THE BBC!!!! It's a completely unfair, unjust fee that the BBC bullies the public into paying. What's more is that if you do decide to pay the fee, then you have to pay 6 months up front(2 months in 1 month). If you do not, then you either have to pay the full amount or no doubt not pay and face the fine. Every other channel in the UK is funded through advertising but instead the BBC rips off the UK citizen with which to promote its propaganda. The BBC is the mouthpiece of ZaNuLabour.

There will of course be those here that will boycott CNN and the BBC and any other media outlet that promotes Islam in the West, but unfortunately we are only a small minority as the overall majority are still being brainwashed on a daily basis.

I was at a friend's last night who is a clever man, knows a lot about a lot but is still pretty much of the line of thinking that Western attack on Islam is the main root of Islamism. It was only after a couple of hours of discussion stating this and that, going back to historical teachings of Islam, mentioning things that were written on here and of course getting to the nitty gritty of why Islamists behave the way they do, were his eyes and ears opened up to Islam. Don't get me wrong, he was no friend of Islam in the first place, just someone who likes to play Devil's advocate. I see him as a learned man, but his views on the West did sicken me. He, like many, blame the West for Islamism. He, like many, believes the way he does for the constant propaganda from the Media. After all, if you are led to believe that the media is right and here in the UK the BBC upholds all values of integrity then why look anywhere else? Many people trust the BBC.

We are fighting a war not just against Islam, but against our governments, institutions, Media outlets and our very own people. We are fighting against our own people because they have been brainwashed by our media and institutions, no doubt under the advice from our governments.

Sites like JW, DW and the many others on the web are certainly doing their best to educate the ignorant public on Islam and its machinations, however as the sites spring up to warn us of Islam, so do do websites praising Islam and not to listen to Western anti Islamic propaganda as well as its continued attack and suppression of Islam.

What can we do? Well, I really don't know as we're stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea so it seems. My only real suggestion is to vote in a government that is Anti Islam. If that government happen to be an extreme right wing government, or a racist one, then it's about a choice and that's vote for them and stop Islamisation or don't and allow it.
It's a tough choice, but one that will inevitably protect Western culture or bring in Islamisation. There really is no other choice and we'll all have to make it sooner or later.

Eastview, I saw Ted Turner on Bill O'Reilly a couple of days ago defending Castro. O'Reilly is great at painting interviewees in corners like that, because unlike everyone on CNN with the exception of Lisa Ling in her better moments (and she's more of a docmentarian than a journalist really), he's a good journalist. I will always dig him for throwing his desk at Al-Arian. I'm sure it's on YouTube.

While CNN is covering the Hajj, FOXNews is putting Gretchen Carlson on every show defending Christianity against the Festivus imposition, which is awesome. Festivus signs next to nativity scenes are exactly what Pope Benedict predicted in 'Without Roots,' right before creeping Sharia.

I hate CNN, especially Amanpour. "God's Warriors" is a study in whitewashing and moral equivalence. So disgusting. 3 hours of logical fallacies and outright lies, like defending one's homeland and trying to save babies from abortion is anything like jihad, slavery, and genocide.

The unmitigated conceit of these idiots never cease to amaze me. All this coverage is simple morbid curiosity. The good people of the Earth have always been facinated by the truly evil side of life, not that they want to participate in the evil, but that they reasonably cannot fathom what makes people perpetrate such evil acts. Watching the Hajj is an attempt to look into the psyche of evil and go to bed at night and in their prayers thank the good Lord Jesus for his salvation.

It is not admiration that causes the Christian West to watch the Hajj, but rather an emotion closer to pity. A pity that so many basically good people could be misled by such an evil cult posing as a religion. As Jesus taught: "Hate the sin not the sinner." Mohammad's Allah hates the sinner.

I will take option three: fight to the death. I would rather be dead than live under Muslim rule as a dhimmi. That is just the way it is. As Patrick Henry put it: "Give me liberty or give me death." Hallelujah and Amen

JDAMN, you are right on about good old O'Reilly! I remember his bitter castigation of Al Arian too and clapped and shouted when the Al went to prison.

FOX is number one in the ratings. That is why I hold out hope for America. I have my issues with FOX, but they are the least dhimmified of all the MSM outlets and I like what that says about America.

It can be done--the Mythbusters (great show on the Discovery Channel) proved that you can, indeed, shine sh*t.
