EU Parliament bans showing of Fitna

Unreal. Now we wait for something similar to happen in the United States, for the Federal or state governments, in some capacity, to ban the film from showing in public venues--under some overriding pretext that trumps the First Amendment, they'll say.

I hear it's now in the book for the New Century Independent EU Approved Actions" for a peaceful and islamic tomorrow.

No film portraying Christianity in a bad light would have ever been banned by the EU Parliament. This is pandering to Islam and Muslims pure and simple. How stupid. How cowardly. How transparent. Perhaps, though, this will invite even more contempt for the EU, a contempt which appears to be growing with each passing year among the ordinary folk of one European country after another.

One of the problems with the democratic systems is that once someone is elected to office, it is like open heart surgery to get rid of them no matter how bad they are. Blago for instance.

You have to wait for next election, or go to some extreme form of excommunication, like impeachment.
In the meantime, officials who give the public the middle finger while doing things not in the public
interest, are given free rides, promotions even, and continue with business as usual, until voted out, retirement, or death.

What we need are politicians who value freedom, free speech, etc, and don't just give lip service to it while busy doing something else.
We need officials who are hep/hip to Islam, and are willing to stand up and confront it.
We need politicians who will not raid the treasury, and convert the publics interest into their own...steal (Blago).

We need politicians with 'True Grit', Wilders is one.

But, politicians like Wilders are almost as scarce as 'moderate' Muslims', we keep hearing about them, but no one has ever seen one...

I was thinking of getting angry at the E.U., but then I realized that it was the E.U., which has a politician who has the balls to make Fitna in the first place. Banning the film is just silly if you want to cover it up. Imagine how much press the film will get from this. You can't hide the truth forever ... no matter how wonderful the view is from the sand pit THE E.U. CONFERENCE OF PRESIDENTS likes to keep its head buried in.

What is it going to take to see that the West WILL be Islamised?
I enjoy this website very much as there are people on here who have a clear grasp of what's going on on both sides of the Atlantic and of course in Europe.

To have free speech barred for Islam, when the video portrays Islam in its truest form shows the future we face.

I truly believe that the only thing left for the West to stop Islamisation is all out War.

Robert Spencer and Geert Wilders are going down the 'oral' route and this thread has proven just where this is taking us.

This video, shocking as it was, only painted a true picture of Islam. It shows by the banning of it that European leaders have not the strength of their ancestors to keep their societies safe.

I suppose this is directly to Robert Spencer of this website. I would like to congratulate him on his efforts of trying to warn the West of Islamisation but really how on earth can he fight the Oil Barons and the Finance Supremo's who are allowing Islamisation?

Wars are in our history for doing exactly what we are not doing now. We are not defending our countries. We are allowing our enemy to grow and multiply and this will inevitably lead to Islamisation.

I was just talking to my partner and she said there's something seriously wrong with the World. It's being turned upside down. Everything I've grown up to know to be correct and just is now just plain wrong. At times I feel like I must be going mad.

The question is, how long before civil disorder? The other more important one is WILL there ever be any civil disorder? Are the people of the West going to honour their ancestors by laying down their lives fighting against the establishment who want to remove democracy, freedom and liberty from the people?

By banning this film it has shown just where our leaders are and who they value more in society. They value an Arabian death cult over common sense, law and order and is this how you want to live, more importantly your future generations?

You are very correct. We don't really have Malls in the UK like you have in America, but the alternative here in the UK is voting on Big Brother and the X Factor. Every major city in the UK could be bombed by Al Qaeda and nothing would happen. The Left Wing have completely infiltrated society and even though our people are under attack by Islam, the Left have successfully managed to make the British look like the instigators and the ones who pushed Islam into a corner.

I don't think that you are alone in your views, however I don't think many are being watched by the FBI. I do however think that your ilk will become far more common in society as more and more people speak out against their breach on their FoS and Civil Liberties. When they realise that no one is listening to them and peaceful demonstration is not working(after contacting their MP/Senator with their grievances) then social disruption and civil strife will come into the fore. I think this will happen sooner than people think really.
What upsets me most about the Fitna video is the hate of people because they are not of another's way of thinking. I am angry that the EU has acted this way and really, all people should see Fitna and then act on removing every MEP from the European parliament. The only way this will happen is by removing their governments and putting in Nationalist ones.

Nationalism is not racism. it is love for one's country and the only belief system that will defeat Islam. All others will fail and Nationalists unite with one another to destroy their common foe as Muslims ally with other Muslims to attack their foe, wherever they may be.

I never got to reply to your last post where we were certainly having a somewhat 'heated' debate, but I'd certainly have a couple of pints with you any day of the week!
It is poignant that you quote the Declaration of Independence, a time when people were fighting for their freedom, no less against their ancestors the British, but nonetheless a time when people fought against control from those who wanted to control them.

As I said in my previous post to spcbat, I think more and more people will become like he and yes the FBI/MI5 will be having nightmares with the revolution happening before their eyes, powerless at being able to stop it and better still, seeing sense and joining it.

Nice to debate with you, but apart from our differences, which only happen to be place of birth, I think our loyalties to our country and more importantly to freedom and democracy unite us in our cause. And I don't think really that will can ever be broken. Ever.

If you visit Caroline Glick's blog and look for mention of 'The New Guardians of Israel', I think you will see that many Israelis under their surrender-minded dhimmified current government are chafing in exactly the same way as you are in the UK; and some of them are doing something about it. Perhaps it might be an idea to look up 'Orde Wingate' and reflect upon his work with the Jews in the Mandate.

I eavesdropped on your debate with Wellington with great interest: chose not to buy in on it.

But I'll make an observation now. The work of education/ awareness-raising that Wilders, Spencer, and others are doing - and what Davegreybeard is doing so brilliantly with his leaflet campaign, and all of us 'on the ground', one person at a time - is not wasted.

Because if it does come down to a 'revolution', the more people at the grassroots, on that front line, have a very clear idea in their heads of what they are dealing with, and also, of what they are fighting *for*, the better. If they are, so to speak, consciously oath-sworn to all that is good in Western civilisation, then they can fight as the Knights of St John did at Malta in 1565 or Jan Sobieski's hussars rescuing Vienna - and the West - in 1683: like tigers, but without losing their humanity or wrecking what they set out to defend.

Did you see the article in dhimmiwatch about the English lady who was reprimanded because her Christmas lights display might 'offend' people of 'other religions'? Sure, it was the Daily Mail reporting...but you'll recall that in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix it was the ridiculous Quibbler, the wizard world equivalent of the sensational papers that publish UFO stories, that chose to publish Harry's account of the return of Voldemort, when all other media outlets suppressed or ridiculed it. Nationalism is a powerful force but it is always a local affair. It can unite a nation to furious frenzy in its own defense, but outside the borders, the interest of others is generally lukewarm to nonexistent. This changes a bit if the nation under assault is perceived as a “brother nation” as Britain and the U.S. are but what commonality of cause is there between say Britain and Somalia? Both are under attack by the same Jihadi enemy, yet would you send your British boys to fight for the NATION of Somalia? How about the NATIONS of India or Nigeria or the Philippines, all under attack from our common, murderous, Islamic enemy? If the “wellspring of action” is NAIONALISM, of course not. (Thank you Hugh, I love that phrase) Nationalism, at best only gets you separate nations looking out for what they perceive as their “best interests” ACTING SEPARATELY– to be picked off, one at a time, by the Grand Jihad.

What all these nations have in common is a love of FREEDOM (well maybe not Somalia – yet). FREEDOM is the only great unifying ideal that the West has and it is the only one that we will die for – even on foreign soil.

Unfortunately I do not know what Daveygreybeard is doing but I would be very interested to know. Remember I am relatively knew here unlike yourselves and many others.
I think there are many at 'grassroots' level ready to fight in the revolution and I think the government knows this, hence why it's stepping up on the Islamist campaign in the UK. It's trying to counteract, public anger but is failing abysmally.

I didn't see the article on DW unfortunately, but I do know that you have your love of Harry Potter and I respect that, but I really cannot tolerate it for one reason - JK Rowling. She is doing her best to support and keep NuLabour afloat with her constant campaigning and donations for the NuLabour Party. It is her support that is helping NuLabour win voters and hence continue the destruction of the UK as can be said for most of the Arts and Literature World in the UK and the West. Do enjoy JK Rowling, but I'll always stick with the Tolkien's, the David Gemmel's, the Michael Scott's and the Terry Brooks when it comes to fantasy. There is a saying that you may well know - look after your own backyard before telling others to look after theirs. This is where I come in with Nationalism. It is the very interfering of other people and their cultures that has created this whole mess in the first place. Don't get me wrong, Iraq never created Islamism and neither did Afghanistan but these wars were not needed. I state my case for many reasons I've mentioned in the past but the main one, especially regarding Iraq was "Saddam was their fight, not ours". Many people forget that a liberating army regardless is always looked upon as an Army of occupation and by removing Saddam, you left the gates open to Islamisation. As long as the west remains, it may keep ie out but at what cost? How many more lives will be lost to protect a people, completely alien to our values? If they truly want freedom and democracy then LET THEM FIGHT FOR IT and not us. We have enough problems here in our own countries with the very faith of the people we are protecting in Iraq and Afghanistan. Afghanistan was a mistake and an unwinnable war. We should have bombed Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Iran long before Iraq and Afghanistan.
Anyway, I'm drifting....
As a Nationalist my land is my most major concern. Not only that but countries, of a Judeo, Christian ideology too and yes, most of them are European although we can look at others scattered around the World and yes some of those countries are African ones.
Fighting wars in foreign lands costs money DGB as you very well know and Iraq and Afghanistan are crippling the UK. As you no doubt know your history, the second world war ended the British Empire and for what? It ended the Empire, helped Europe from Nazi Control, so that they can destroy the UK, remove it's sovereignty and control it in the future, something they were never able to do in countless wars in the middle ages. We helped them and this was how they repaid us?

Yes America is very much like Britain as your values and ideals are from here. Your Ancestors and city names are from here. This is why the USA and the UK are so close as there really are no other countries closer, apart from all of our connections to Canada, Australia and New Zealand and other smaller Islands.

The fight against Islam is the people's fight. As Britain and America must rid this curse on humanity, so too must the French, the Germans, the Dutch, the Danish, the Italians, the Spanish etc etc.
As a nationalist I would be proud to help another country with the same values as my own to rid their country of Islam and its wicked ideology, but we cannot march into people's countries and fight their wars as it only ever creates contempt from the locals. If they need our help then we help, but we must first establish who is calling us, the Politicians or the people and that is what is most important.

Nationalism is love for one's country, one's heritage, one's history and all the people who laid down their lives before so that we can be free to live in a safe democratic society and keep it that way.

Africa is a messed up place not because of Colonialism or the Slave Trade but because of Africans and more importantly tribalism. South Africa and other African Nations have done nothing against Mugabe, while his people die. The same can be said for Rwanda, Somalia, sierra Leone, Uganda, the Congo, in fact all over Africa. Their tribalism is feudalism and we kicked that firmly out of our society a long time ago.
Look at the armies in the USA and in Britain. They serve their country and Queen respectively. They fight to protect their very people. Armies in countries are by definition Nationalists.

I will continue to say it and you will continue to disagree with me but Nationalism is the only ideology that will save the west from Islam. As a Nationalist, culturist, radical humanist, libertarian(I have a bit of everything in me), I accept any person from any country to come and live in the UK, respect our laws and ways of life and to call this place their home. I would lay down my life for any African who came to the UK and adopted this culture as their own and pledged their life to uphold the values that this society once held. I would however do the exact opposite for those who come to segregate, populate and try to dominate it.

Nationalism is quite black and white(excuse the pun) but do not think that nationalists are racists. My partner, loves me for who I am, for my passion and for my pride in who I am and defending the weak around me. I am outspoken and won't be bullied or submit to anything I deem as wrong or immoral. This is my home and if needs be I will defend it with my life, even if it means going against the establishment. O.K. Lionheart, since you asked;

When I became aware of the threat of Islam, after reading 15+ books (and studying 5 different translations of the Qur’an to make sure the meaning was the same) I tried to inform as many people as I could. I became quickly frustrated by (among other things) the short attention span of many listeners and the limited time available. I also found I was frequently unable to efficiently convey enough of the core tenets of Islam to illustrate the magnitude of the threat in the minds of many people. I would begin with their attention, but all to soon their eyes would begin to glaze over.

I decided what was required was a 2 sided leaflet, something that is short enough that most people would read, yet with enough well organized, concentrated information to make an impression. A lot of effort was put into selection of content, format and presentation. With this tool, the need for urgency in the conversation is eliminated, all that is required is a pleasant casual conversation, just enough to pique interest. Your carefully crafted paper, read by your acquaintance, in private, at his leisure, does the heavy lifting.

I carry several copies of 2 leaflets, one on the Qur’an and one on Muhammad (folded so they fit neatly into a back pocket) wherever I go.
The first leaflet is mainly about the content of the Qur’an. The second leaflet explains how the Qur’an came into being and who and what Muhammad was.

The first leaflet ”Three Questions for Infidels” has a short intro with the question “Why do they hate us?” followed by 20 quotes from the Qur’an. These are: 9:111, 47:4, 4:38, 9:5(verse of the sword), 9:123, 4:91, 3:114, 3:195, 2:189, 4:76, 5:56, 8:12, 8:39, 8:58, 8:67, 9:23, 9:29, 9:33, 9:41, 47:35. The reader is encouraged to purchase a Qur’an and verify for himself what he has just read. The final question is “Have the Islamic terrorists radicalized Islam - or is it the other way around?”

The second leaflet is a biography of Muhammad “The Perfect Man” and “The Model of Conduct”. This includes among other things, his “marriage” to 9 year old Aisha, the beheading of the men of the Banu Qurayzah and taking their women and children as slaves, various assassinations, several torture events, and several rapes committed by Muhammad. Also included is a description of the legalization of the rape of married women “All married women are forbidden unto you save those (captives) whom your right had possesses…” 4:28. Material in both leaflets is taken strictly from Islamic sources (Qur’an, “Sirat Rasul Allah” and various Hadith).

I do not have the heavy artillery of speaking engagements, or a web site, or a book to awaken people to this threat on a large scale. Even if I had these resources I have neither the developed skill nor the time to use them. What I can use is the literary equivalent of a rifle for single, point targets of my choosing.

I have had good success with these “leaflets” and they are usually much appreciated. My motto is “spreading the word of Muhammad, one Infidel at a time”. It is not on the scale of Spencer or Fitzgerald, but is something that I can do when I am “out and about” and I find it very satisfying.

I would like to take my head off to you sir(I'm not wearing a hat). I had no idea just how much you'd done and what you'd studied on your quest for the truth on Islam. To defeat your enemy one must first know and understand them and you have done just that. I will send you an email and would very much like to see your leaflets.
I was also going to add that have you ever thought of going more widespread? Have you sent leaflets off to other areas in the USA, to friends, to organisations with which to further promote your findings on Islam? No doubt you very probably have.

Now the bad news. You may know of the Incitement to Religious Hatred Bill passed in 2005 here in the UK by Tony Blair and NuLabour? I believe that this literature being passed around in the UK could very well come under that law and arrests could be made for dafaming Islam.

I have ideas and workings on the go. I am in the blueprints of a website/forum(being a former web designer and Flash Animator, along with other gaming packages). There is also the idea of forming an Islamist Awareness Movement too, to draw attention to Islamisation of the UK.

I think you are correct. I should use, at least, the term Progressive liberals vs. traditional liberal like John F. Kennedy - who I admire. One of our greatest Presidents!! I do not think he would have tolerated such a threat to our free speech that we face with such censorship. He would have stood up to the Jihadist. We need someone like Teddy Roosevelt today and not Obama.

Questions:

Does Britain have laws guaranteeing free speech as we have written into our constitution?

If such laws exist in Britain, what is the possibility of challenging the “Incitement” law in court and getting it nullified?

Does the “Incitement” law require that the material responsible for the “incitement” be false? What would be the outcome be if one could prove that the material was true, such as word for word quotes from the Qur’an, Hadith and Sirat?

Seems like SOMEONE should challenge this “Incitement” law. Just the publicity alone would further the cause.

You will be sad to hear that Britain does not have freedom of speech laws written into our society as you do in your constitution. Remember, that the American Revolution and the creation of the Constitution was really a second run at British Society, with all the badness removed from it and more protection for the people from the aristocracy/elite.

One reason why I'm so annoyed with America is that American law firms swamped the UK, years back, changing the very face of our society. From a situation before that was dealt with a conversation between two people, American law firms came in and said "Choose us and we'll sue to get you a substantial payment for that person saying your are fat, even though you do weigh 32 stone" and the people did. It is this very reason why we have a problem with discipline and respect especially amongst youth and criminals, because they are using this in their best interests to protect themselves from wrongdoing. Do not take this as a dig daveygreybeard as it's not. American freedom of speech laws protect the people from lawsuits all over the place and they have been allowed to run rampant here in the UK since the arrival of the 'sue' culture unfortunately from the USA. Mix the sue culture with Political Correctness and Human Rights laws and society really is fucked.

How can we challenge it? The only way it can be challenged is by voting for another political party and NOT Nulabour, Conservative or Liberal.
There was a big hoo-haa when it was about to happen and comedians and musicians as such all tried to have it stopped, but in good old NuLabour tradition, it went through to give minority yet more power in society.
To show you just how one sided the Incitement to Religious Hatred Bill is, all arrests have been made in favour of Islam. More importantly, the government not so long ago, banned blasphemy laws. Why? If it was creating a Religious Hatred Bill, which showed it wanted to give religionists protection then why remove the Blasphemy Law?
The Bill was brought in to protect Islam and to stop discussion on it. It was in fact the forerunner of the EU/UN defamation bill against Islam bill, currently trying to be implemented into EU law as we know.

We cannot challenge it. It already has been and failed miserably. A new governemnt will have to come in and remove the bill from society. That's the only way it will go away.

In regard to our Constitution and structure of government, I frequently point out that the underlying attitude during its formation was an extremely strong FEAR of ANY government. This fear of government is based on the very real and all to common tendency of governments (all governments) to overreach and surpress the rights of the people. Such is obviously the case with your “libel” laws.

In looking at some of the articles, the “libel” law appears to rquire the allegation to be “false” to win the case. As in the following quote from one of the news reports:

“The onus is on the media to prove the truth of the allegation and the claimant does not need to show that the defendant acted out of malice.”

In the case of the “leaflets” that I pass out, all information comes directly from the Islamic texts, Qur’an, Hadith and Sirat.

But we have been talking about your “libel” law and not the “Incitement” law. Can you give us specifics on THAT legislation? If the allegations against a religion are required to be “false” to prove the “incitement” charge we are fine – if “incitement” can be judged if something is said about a religion that someone DOES NOT LIKE, then you are indeed screwed.

I would advise getting a copy of the full text of the law and finding one of those “American lawyers” that plague you. Most Americans are very keen on freedom and I’ll aver you can find one who will investigate it for a lark.

Please don't think I'm attacking Americans, but there are many things about your culture that are destroying the UK. I have mentioned the 'sue' culture. Here in the UK we have ridiculous adverts on TV of people walking at work and falling because they weren't looking where they were going and end up suing the company for £8k+. This sue culture IS unfortunately from the USA and has become more noticeable under NuLabour. Put it this way, although not advocating violence, when I was younger, if someone insulted you or your family then they'd get a 'slap' and that would be the end of it. They would suffer pain for being insulting and punished there and then for being wrong. Now however, if the same thing happened today, the assaulted would prosecute, sue and end up getting off for being in the wrong and punishing the person in the right. I really do not agree with this as it's created a very wrong society. I could go on and discuss even more situations that Lawyers involvement has meant the disruption of society, punishing the right and letting the wrong off.

Now let's leave that argument alone as I feel you'll not agree in me, being an American Davey, but as a Brit, I despise these law firms that have grown up all over the place and as said, they unfortunately came, en masse from the USA.

Daveygreybeard, look at it this way, the British police will arrest the blogger Lionheart for stating what you and I have about Islam when he comes back to Britain. He could face seven years imprisonment under the bill.
Anything that the public will say to paint the true picture of Islam, the government will continue to oppose. Put it this way, if you and I know the truth about Islam, then why are the people, who are supposed to protect us from dangers from other cultures, not seeing what we're seeing?
It's all down to Saudi Arabian Finance Daveygreybeard. The government is not only bending over backwards to accommodate Islam, but is even turning a blind eye to the wahabism being taught all over the UK coming directly from Saudi Arabian Mullahs. This in itself is despicable for the reason that our soldiers are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan, fighting against the very same ideology that the government is turning a blind eye to being promoted here in the UK. This is nothing more than treason. The government knows everything and they know exactly what Islam is, but remain silent because there is just too much money to lose. It's disgusting.

So, from a cursory reading of the “Suppression of Free Speech Act” seems like you can invite people to your home and pass out all the written material you wish. Also the law appears to contradict itself in the following:

29J Protection of freedom of expression

Nothing in this Part shall be read or given effect in a way which prohibits or restricts discussion, criticism or expressions of antipathy, dislike, ridicule, insult or abuse of particular religions or the beliefs or practices of their adherents, or of any other belief system or the beliefs or practices of its adherents, or proselytising or urging adherents of a different religion or belief system to cease practising their religion or belief system.

I see an opening here, time to formulate a plan.

I think here in the UK one of either two things will happen. The first possibility is that the people in essence, do what those in America did 230+ years ago and rise up against their British Masters, winning and creating a constitution.
The other possibility is that the British people continue to do nothing while immigration goes through the roof, governments make deals with Saudi Arabians and the UK is Islamised within 60 years.
