While Israel sends food into Gaza. "Gaza terrorists fire eight Qassam rockets into western Negev," by Yanir Yagana for Haaretz, December 6 (thanks to Alexandre):
Palestinian terrorists in the Gaza Strip launched eight Qassam rockets towards Israeli communities in the western Negev on Friday night, though the fire did not result in any injuries or damage to property....Meanwhile, Palestinians hurled two Molotov cocktails on Friday afternoon at Israeli motorists driving near the West Bank village of Azun east of Qalqilyah. No injuries were reported, although one car did sustain damage. Israel Defense Forces soldiers combed the area in search of the perpetrators.
The launching of Qassam rockets prompted Israel to maintain the closure of the Gaza Strip's border crossings for the entire week. Defense Minister Ehud Barak on Thursday authorized the entry of 40 trucks carrying basic foodstuffs, 30 trucks filled with cereal, and industrial fuel for the power station.
Hudud: an interlude of illusory cessation of hostilities; a prelude to the Second Holocaust, Islam's Final Solution.
I recently translated an al-Jazeera call-in show about Gaza where people called in with comments and questions about the situation there. For anyone interested, it is at:
http://staringattheview.blogspot.com/2008/12/gaza.html
My own comment was: I was waiting for the question that never came. “The preamble to the Hamas Charter states that “Israel will continue to exist until Islam obliterates it, just as Islam has obliterated others before it”. Is there any other country in the world that provides food, water, and electricity to an enemy whose constitution contains a vow to destroy it?” I think the Gazans could have peace with Israel tomorrow if the Palestinian leaders wanted it, and the result of that peace would be an economic, social, and political prosperity that would be the envy of millions throughout the Middle East. Unfortunately, I don’t see that happening.
Israel should have cut off Gaza the day they fired their first rocket. They should have put missile launchers all along the border the day they elected Hamas. They owe them nothing but vengeance.
John C, that's 'hudna.' 'Hudud' is sharia punishment like stoning and cutting off hands and feet.
Thank you for your translations, staringattheview. I always appreciate them. The Arab Parallel Universe is an interesting place, but then again, abnormal pychology always interested me.

Stupid typepad.
staringattheview: Thanks for the translations. It is always illuminating to hear the enmity and irrationality from the horse's mouth. It is clear reading those comments that the deranged hatred of the Jews in Islam stems from the Koran and other core Islamic texts. The most effective way to challenge and undermine this despicable and barbaric ideology is to continually and relentlessly highlight this viciousness in Islam's 'sacred' texts. The Muslim consciousness has been colonised, occupied , filled by the poisonous racism found in the Koran and Hadith....and these texts must be exposed for what they are...undeniable mendacity and hate speech.
When upcoming Israeli elections come up, l hope they remember those that wanted to give up land for peace should never be voted in again.
Their lack of legitimate education and access to legitimate media, combined with rampant inbreeding and the necessity of severe mental illness in order to be Muslim only serve to magnify the problem which originates in those disgusting texts. You're right, johndoe. I got IU to remove the links to ISNA and the texts on the MSU webpage when I quoted a bunch of the murder/genocide passages in an email to the President and Bloomington Provost. I hope they're watching the MSU now, but I doubt it, since they went through with their public celebration of 9/11.
Two points:
1) Why is it up to Israel to allow supplies into Gaza? Gaza has a border with Egypt, a "brother" Islamic country. Why aren't supplies pouring across the Egyptian border? Why isn't there a power-line from Egypt? Also it has a coast-line. Supplies could be landed there.
2) Gaza seems to have no problem getting rockets and other munitions shipped into the country. Surely they aren't arriving via Israel. Let the food arrive via the same route as the rockets.
'Is there any other country in the world that provides food, water, and electricity to an enemy whose constitution contains a vow to destroy it?”'
What a Kafkaesque world Israel is in. The day will come when they (once again) realize their actions cannot be guided by fear of condemnation by "the rest of the world".
Surprise, Surprise, Surprise.
Cease fire = Missiles from Gaza.
Peace treaty = Missiles from Gaza.
No Peace treaty = Missiles from Gaza.
I think I see a pattern.

Good one!
staringattheview.blogspot.com
You speak of a Gaza boom and prosperity if there was peace with israel.
In 1994-2000 with an influx of foreign capital and the return of thousands of Palestinian professionals Gaza was booming. Israeli tourists poured much needed money into the bazaars and the beautiful beaches were crowded. This was in the heyday of Oslo optimism. Israeli settlements, construction, hi-tech greenhouses etc. provided thousands of jobs.
What happened? Islam happened.
jewdog: "thinwa", that's good!
From post above: I think the Gazans could have peace with Israel tomorrow if the Palestinian leaders wanted it, and the result of that peace would be an economic, social, and political prosperity that would be the envy of millions throughout the Middle East...
Another Dubai perhaps.
I doubt it...As long as Allah and Hamas are in charge, there will be no peace, and little, or no prosperity. The majority of Gazans are in Hamas back pocket...
And yet we are told that the Palestinians are not the aggressors..
It makes you angry that our newspapers here in the UK will always turn it around to make it look like Palestinian defensive measures. The BBC are the biggest culprits here. They quite happily promote the Islamist agenda and anti Jewish propaganda.
In conversation, people say to me "what will bring about peace in Gaza and the West bank"? To which I always reply "It's really quite straight forward; Palestine has to stop launching attacks at Israel".
They should cut off all energy supplies to the Palestinians and look after the Israelis. It should be a case of "we'll cut you off if you continue to attack us". End of really.
I think the Palestinians should use all their leftist, liberal Western sympathizers as human shields against the attacks and atrocities (I am gagging on my words here...ok) committed by those violent, hating Jews of Israel! (OMG, coffee makes me pithy!! LOL) BUT all those in favor, say I... we can all pitch in and buy them all plane tickets to the "human wall foundation"!
BTW.. I am really starting to HATE this typekey pad thingy.... how many times do I have to sign in?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, who are the good people now?

Gees I am having the same problem with this signing in thing. Seems to me the webmaster could get it right eventually but it never seems to happen!!!!!
What is the magic solution?
Apparently putting in your original sign in name into the "URL" slot and clicking "Remember me" works right now! So I'll try a comment"
In order to please the world community and the United Nations apparently Israel feels it must continue supplying whatever it does to Gaza regardless of what ISLAMICS do. There are so many Islamic apologists that Israel is damned if they do and damned if they don't, so frankly, were I calling the shots in Israel there would be an immediate cession of all energy supplies as suggested by Richard the Lionhearted and others. And food, and anything else the Gaza leeches depend on for existence. If the world objects they can go live in Gaza and keep the peace.
During a visit to Israel recently I found that generally the average Israeli is desperate for peace and security and I think this leads to bad strategic and defensive decisions, especially on the part of the liberals currently in control. The people, on the other hand, do not want land given away, they have fought and died for every square inch of Israel that they control and don't seem to believe accommodation to Palestinian terror groups is going to solve anything.
The problem is definitely Israeli leadership that will say anything to get elected to office and then stab in the back the people that put them there. Such as Sharon, Netanyahu in his first crack at PM, etc. I hope that they follow former IDF COS Moshe Ya'alon, he has already proved his character by getting fired by objecting to the Disengagement. He does not seem to be of a mind to sit on his hands while Hamas shells Israel at will.
The Palestinians constantly do whatever possible to sabotage the "2 State Solution" obviously they do not want to share anything with the Jews. Let's drop that idea as unworkable and "Oslo" as a work of lunacy. What is left is to drive Hamas into the sea, no doubt the Saudi's will rescue them and transport them to so other unsuspecting Islamic country to cause death and mayhem there.
"Thinwa." LOLz, Jewdog.
CLL1709, nah. It will just work while you are on this thread.
I have to sign in on every thread, and try to post sometimes upwards of a dozen times.
Whoa! My post went through on the 1st try.
Re: Typepad: We feel your pain-- we're in same boat with the multiple sign-ins. And we're working on it.

HA! How cute is Oscar! Loved it. Of course then I had to get back to this site, AOL is also a pain in the **- neck, but road runner is as well and yet what ever did I do before computers and the WWW? Was I happier being not as well informed?
I wonder if this will post!
These Qassam rockets appear to be about as effective as bottle rockets. I’m sure you don’t want on landing on your head, but zero for eight? I can just see the Hamas fighters who are firing these rockets pacing around like Marvin the Martian saying, “Where’s the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth shattering kaboom.”
The points about supply lines other than through Israel are well made. The Palestinians have the victim act down pat – witness Paliwood. So does CAIR. Muslims in general have been doing the victim act for a long while, but I wonder when that tactic became part of the playbook. I don’t recall reading of it being sourced from the Koran or the hadith, but it is certainly one of the important tools of jihad.
As long as I stay on Opera I can post, but if I use Firefox, I'm screwed.
Let the Gazans pound sand.
Richard
One of the ways Muslims justify their perpetual need for blood lust is the "oppression" racket.
War in support of oppressed Muslims living in non-Muslim lands: If oppressed Muslims living in a non-Muslim country seek help of the Islamic state against their non-Muslim Government, help might be given to them. The Holy Qur’an enjoins upon its followers to help their oppressed and persecuted brothers in these words: “How should ye not fight for the cause of Allah and of the feeble among men and of the women and the children who are crying: Our Lord! Bring us forth from out of this town of which the people are oppressors! Oh, give us from Thy presence some protecting friend! Oh, give us from Thy presence some defender!” -----(4 : 75)
"if they seek help from you in the matter of religion then it is your duty to help (them) except against a folk between whom and you there is a treaty. Allah is Seer of what ye do.” -----(8 : 72)
O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites! Be harsh with them. Their ultimate abode is Hell, a hapless Journey’s end.
-----(9 : 73)
"Oppression" could be refusal to allow Muslims to live under Islamic norms, like disallowing women to wear headscarves in public schools, or who knows what they could come up with, as it is open ended, and infinite in scope. Since the ultimate goal of Islam is the is the universal installment of Sharia, then "oppression" against Muslims could be an attack upon their faith such as "spreading corruption" in the land.
"The only reward of those who make war upon Allah and His messenger and strive after corruption in the land will be that they will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet on alternate sides cut off, or will be expelled out of the land. Such will be their degradation in the world, and in the Hereafter," (Quran 5:33).
"Oppression" justifies the means to an end, and it is a big part of the game Muslims play in the long war to rationalize subugating and killing you and your children.
These Qassam rockets appear to be about as effective as bottle rockets.

These Qassam rockets have 20 lbs. of c-4 and hundreds of ball bearings. They are anti personnel weapons. No one knows where each one will land. They are strictly terrorist weapons and very deadly if the enemy gets lucky. Sort of like the WWI v-2.
Staringattheview, thanks for the link to your blog. Disturbing but fascinating exchange.
I found this one of the most interesting:
“But we here in Paris can do nothing because the French government will not allow us to. There are many Jews in the government here, and they won’t even let us hold a demonstration or raise funds for the people of Gaza.”
..........................
France, of course, would have no reason to stop anyone who wanted to "raise funds for the people of Gaza"--if this money was for charity--buying food, building schools, that sort of thing. After Americans and Britons and Aussies, Western Europeans are about the most most charitable people in the world.
What the caller really meant is that Western governments frown on those who use the West as a base from which to raise money for Jihad. The caller most likely had in mind a "Holy Land Foundation" type fundraising scheme.
there is not one jew in the french governement but there are muslims.
You can't donate to the "Palestinians" because they elected a terror network to govern themselves. They chose genocide over diplomacy and mass murder over international recognition. They don't wait aid. They want jizya and they want to be victims like good, parasitic Muslims. Never mind that much of every Muslim's zakat money goes to fund Hamas anyway, as they all donate the money to the Ikhwan through some front group, mosque, or Islamic school, and the Ikhwan gives it to their offspring, Hamas. We're funding Hamas when we pay our taxes, since they go to fund universities which fund MSAs/MSUs, which are nothing more than Hamas fronts.

Richard,
To answer the mysteries of Islam look no further than Mohammed, al insan al kamil “The Perfect Man” and to REALLY nail it down uswa hasana “The Model of Conduct”
In this instance, after “The Perfect Man” found it necessary to order the assassination of the Jew Chieftain Ka’b bin Al Ashraf (the infamous incident when he gave permission for deception) the Jews were outraged at the murder of their leader and protested to Muhammad. “The Model of Conduct” replied that basically Ka’b had it coming since he had provoked the Muslims and really it was the long suffering Muslims who were the true victims.
Robert Spencer, page 118, describes this event in “The Truth about Muhammad”. The event described is taken from “Kitab al-Tabaqat al-Kabir” by Ibn Sa’d who was an early Islamic historian.
So Muslims playing the victim, after committing vicious crimes is perfectly normal and to be expected – after all, Big Mo led the way!

Well I had no trouble AT FIRST, then nothing but trouble – sign in 6 or 7 times to get it to go. And, like you, I have forgotten exactly how to hold my mouth, sit in the chair and the correct incantation to make the damn thing work again!
Someone suggested not signing out. I am trying this approach today and my first post went O.K. – I’ll keep you posted – if I have the time and patience.
Hudud, hudn't--it's all the same thing, man.
They should thank "allah" the rockets have hit no schools full of kids, or large groups of people. The day one of these rockets finally kill en-mass, will be a day they will truly remember.
