Nothing will ever be good enough -- not allowing sharia courts to operate in Britain, nor financially supporting Hamas. Gholhak gardens, a sprawling compound in north Tehran, provides accommodation for British diplomats and their families.

I can't be too surprised by this. I grew up in the part of the Bronx where, if you gave up your "lunch money" one time, you were guaranteed to get another opportunity to do so in the near future.
Unfortunately, the Brits tipped their hand big time when their guys gave it up to the Iranians in the Gulf earlier this year.
This is what's odd:
I am told when engaging in conversation with 'lefties' that the Iranian people are oppressed by Ahmedinnerjacket and his administration. Hmmmm? If this were so, then it would normally be the students of any country of an oppressive regime to be the first to protest about it. This kind of blows that out of the window, well especially in Iran, or else it means that Iranian students are, like the rest of Iranians(Muslms) not being persecuted by their government and are quite content with it.
I wonder how Channel 4 are now feeling about this after airing A-mad-dickhead on Christmas day for the alternative Christmas message? It's kind of a "Hello British people, we wish you peace although you are kufar so we do actually want to keeeel you..."

Back to the article. You would think that this would be front page news wouldn't you? After all, a British Embassy is being attacked in Iran. However it isn't, which shows just how unimportant this is to the media. "It'll paing Islam in a bad light" I can hear the Editor in cheif's of the British tabloids say. "It may cause rioting by Muslims in the UK" they may also add. "We may be arrested for Incitement to Religious and Racial Hatred" are yet more mumblings.
Britain has no backbone. Under Thatcher's government this would have been all over the News.
It's pathetic really. Our government will probably say nothing about it because if they do then Saudi Arabia may get unhappy. After all we don't want to upset our Muslim masters in the Gulf now do we?

And what is that thing? That thing is: Islam is the problem, Islam whether Sunni or Shi'a, whether Arab or Iranian or other. And any conceivable way to permit the natural fissures, sectarian and ethnic, within the camp of Islam, to develop, should be seized upon, gratefully. The failure to see this, the failure to undertstand that the two great beneficiaries of the removal of Saddam Hussein have been Saudi ARabia and Iran, and that the only way to undo their gains is to permit that proxy war between Sunni and Sh'a within Iraq to develop, and to be the cause of men, money, materiel, and attention from both Iran and Saudi Arabia, so that a kind of Iran-Iraq War (which did use up tens of billions of dollars given to Iraq by Saudi Arabia, by Kuwait, by the U.A.E.) is the best way to damage both Iran and Saudi Arabia.
Oh, one more thing. Would it be better to attack Iran's nuclear project while Americans are next door, and while the fondest hope of the Administration is to bring Sunni lion to lie down with Shi'a lamb, or perhaps Shi'a lion to lie down with Sunni lamb (depends on the year, the month, the week, the day), assuming that Iran's nuclear facilities can be bombed and still retain the -- whatever -- of the Shi'a in Iraq, or would it be better while the Shi'a and the Sunnis are at each others throats, no longer being held apart by American soldiers who haven't the faintest why they are being asked to prevent two versions of the Muslim enemy from inflicting damage on one another), to damage from afar, through the telemachy of missiles, Shi'a Iran just as it has made even Sunnis everywhere f
earful, so that their pro forma shrill cries against the American attack on Iran will be more muted than it might otherwise have been.

For Iranians, seizing British rather than American sailors is even more satisfactory. In the demonology of modern Iran, England, perfidious Albion, has played a major role far longer than tiny, almost trivial satan Israel, and big satan America. England has been the grand manipulator, in Iranian eyes, the player of the Great Game, with those English conspirators in 1951 and 1952 and 1953 maniuplating John Foster and Allen Dulles to stage the coup that removed Mossadegh.
It is a tribute, in a backhanded way, to England. So many other countries no longer give Great Britain no never mind, but not Iran. In Iran, the Muslim Iran of the crazed conspiracy theories (which are held even by those who are enemies of the regime, and lukewarm about Islam -- for if you grow up in a society suffused with the habit of mental submission, and lack of skepticism, conspiracy theories come readily to mind), it is Great Britain somehow involved in everything. In Iran, Great Britain is still imperial Britain, the Britain of Curzon, and the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company, and the Delhi Durbar, and A. K. S. Lambton giving clever advice to the Foreign Office on how to deal with those pesky Persians.

In the Iranian pantheon of master-manipulators, it is England, perfidious Albion, that has always had pride of place. Not America, not that late-comer Israel, but England is seen, and not only by the people who run the Islamic Republic of Iran, but also some of those who have fled the Islamic Republic of Iran, see the fine English hand (as the Elizabethans saw a fine Italian hand) behind every bit of mischief, real or imaignary. This helps explain the rightness, the fitness, the plausibility, of such a threat.
In the Iranian view, of leftists and fanatical Muslims alike, the coup against weepy Mossadegh in 1953 may have been undertaken by the Dulles brothers and C.I.A. agents such as Kermit Roosevelt, but the real schemer that persuaded the pliable Americans to get rid of Mossadegh were the British, rescuing the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (and in this particular case, there is truth in the Iranian version of events). And before that, and also after, the British were always to be found. Neither the Great Satan, America, nor the Little Satan, Israel, quite measure up in sheer malevolence and effectiveness, in the vivid Iranian imagination, to Great Britain.

Combining Richard the Lionheart's posting of the laughably pathetic response by a Nicky Jones of Channel 4 to Richard's taking issue with said channel in broadcasting the whackjob President of Iran's alternative Christmas message, with Hugh's 9:42 P.M post which indicated in some detail (by way of previous postings) greatest contempt by the deluded modern Persians for Britain, not America or Israel, one has to wonder, after pondering these two pieces of pertinent information, if Britain has not collectively lost its mind. Is there not a single soul in Gordon Brown's cabinet who can say enough is enough? To ask why, money concerns, political concerns, political correctness and multiculturalism finally be damned, do we have any relations with this barbaric Iranian government? Is there no one among the powers who be in Britain who has any balls? Has the UK become nothing more than a collection of deluded Muslims, toady elites and a general populace which has lost all sense of its own dignity?

Here's an idea: GROW A PAIR
For the moment, fear explains the appeasement of the British government, and even of MI5. They are fearful, not so much of terrorist attacks, but rather, of Muslims rioting all over the major cities of Great Britain. And this fear inhibits domestic action that should long ago have been taken against Muslims, with their outrageous demands, at every level, for preferential treatment, and for changes in the political and legal institutions, and social arrangements, of Great Britain, a country to which they have contributed, pace Gordon Brown, nothing save perhaps some curry take-out, and whose presence, in large numbers, has led to a situation for the native British (and non-native, but non-Muslim, immigrants) that is far more unpleasant, expensive, and physically dangerous than it would be without such a large-scale Muslim presence. And the same fear of Muslim riots also has its effect on an already craven and , and also affects, naturally, an already craven foreign policy, especially when it comes to Israel's attempts to defend itself.
Yet, with all this, see how few people -- practically none save Muslims -- have come out in Western Europe to support the Arab side. Surely this failure of the Arabs and Muslims to attract, as they might once have, some visible support, is telling. The people of Western Europe are changing, and are doing so even in the Netherlands, even in Denmark. They now fear, and with good reason, the Muslims in their midst. And that of course will have its effect, eventually, on how their governments react. At the moment many of those governments still contain Yesterday's Men, who were among those responsbile for so negligently allowing so many Muslims to settle deep within Western Europe. But little by little, those men will be replaced, by others more alarmed, and better informed, about Islam. And already one can see how few anti-Israel demonstrations, with what a miserable turnout -- and the non-Muslims consisting only of the immutable far left.
Meanwhile, Israel just has to keep informing the Western publics. It has to explain, for example, whenever Israeli spokesmen appear on the BBC (how infrequently that happens, and with what palpable hostility on the part of the interviewers -- see, for example, Julian Marshall, and just listen to his voice), that more rockets some 6,000 in recent years, and 10,100 since 2001 -- have rained down on Israel than the number of V-1 and V-2 rockets. True, those rockets did a lot of damage and so far, the rockets from Hamas have largely been ineffective. But it is not for want of trying. And a million Israelis now must live every day in fear of those rockets. The situation is intolerable. England replied with the mass bombing, under Bomber Harris, of Germany cities. There were hundreds of thousands of civilian casualties. Does anyone think the British, or the American airmen who also participated, behaved incorrectly in bringing the war home to Nazi Germany? Of course not.
Well, the Israelis have responded with a bombing campaign of fantastic accuracy, far beyond what any other Wester air force could have done, or would have required of itself. It has bombed all over an area where always and everywhere weaponry and weapons-productiion is placed within civilian areas, sometimes in mosques, schools (as the PLO used to put anti-aircraft guns on school rooftops), and even in apartments in apartment buildings. Yet the Israeli Air Force has managed to inflcit a great deal of damage, and to do so with, in many cases, pinpoint accuracy. Without of course accepting the civilian casualty figures put out by Hamas -- we need not, at this moment, pretend to be idiots, do we? -- even those figures, if they were accepted, show a few dozen civilian casualites, after four days of bombing. The figure is incredible. No one has the moral right, no one, to criticzie the Israelis after the years of their having endured these attacks, and the steady buildup, with Egypt turning a blind eye, of Hamas's military resources -- it must now have over 10,000 rockets -- at the very time when Israel was dutifully supplying everything, electricity, water, goods of every kind, even free medical care for some "Palestinian" Arabs -- and all for naught.
Eventually even among those who thought appeasement was the correct course will find it does not work, and that demography is destiny, and they are going to have to adopt a new attiude, and be adamant in their refusal to yield to Muslim demands, and relentless in their cutting off of outside Arab funds, closing of any mosque or madrasa connected, in the slightest way, with any use or planned use of violence or dissemination of the hatred toward Infidels without which khutbas could scarcely exist (for that inculcated view of the world as divided between Believers and Infidels, with a state of permanent war between them, is so central to Islam that it would be impossible, for long, for any imam to stay away from, or not allude to, that topic). No, a new attitude will prevail even in MI5, because as the most farseeing know, there is a race on: a race between those in Western Europe who recognize the meaning, and thus the menace, of Islam, and those who simply will not. And those who will not have to be mocked out of favor, removed from all positions of influence (yes, starting with the BBC), and carefully kept away from adding to the damage they have already done.
The Korean actress Lee Young-ae became very popular in Iran after her hugely successful TV series Dae Jang Geum aired there years ago. Her Iranians fans could best be described as creepy.
Imagine my suprise when I went to her website's user-run picture gallery and found it to be full of anti-semitic pro-Hamas propaganda, consisting mostly of graphic pictures with odd captions and comments like "every half hour one child is killed in Palestine" (interesting assertion considering that only about 60 civilian casualties have been reported so far, but oh well).

I appreciate, applaud and agree with your assessment, Hugh, respecting a new consensus that is forming in the West about Islam, one that principally manifests deep scorn for the world's worst religion of all time. All along I have retained an optimism that Islam can never triumph, all the kinds of jihad be damned, because it is so inherently ugly, so vile, so wicked, so misdirected, so ludicrous, so stupid, so sick, that it strains credulity to think that even a West that has seen better days would ever be taken over by the ideology initiated by that nefarious, albeit clever, seventh-century master fraud, Mohammed. Already, as you note, who in the West really cares anymore about so-called Muslim suffering, save the deluded Muslims themselves and a handful of non-Muslim loons here and there?
This is not to say that victory over Mohammedanism will be easy or swift. Many difficulties lie ahead. And many tragedies. But I feel confident the day will come when the word "Islam" will be uttered with the same contempt that "Nazism" is and that Mohammed will be placed alongside the likes of Marx, Hitler, Lenin, Stalin and Mao as one of the most bloodthirsty, malevolently influential individuals of all time.
I can only say this: if I knew that there was a pro-Israel rally, meeting or march in my hometown, I would be there.
There *must* be somebody somewhere in the UK - perhaps Anglican Friends of Israel, or is it Anglicans For Israel? - or a local church, or *someone* who would be prepared to come out in force, outside the Israeli Embassy: not to howl, and screech, and throw rocks, but to stand there in silence displaying placards saying things like 'Kol Ha-Kavod, IDF, IAF - DEFEAT THE JIHAD', 'There is a time for peace...AND A TIME FOR WAR: this is a time for war".
There must be people brave enough to wear a Star of David to work, or to school, or down the street to the shops; or just to wear blue-and-white. And stuffed in their pockets will be printouts of things like 'Islam 101' from this very website, or printouts of some of Mr Fitzgerald's discussions of the Middle East Conflict, and handy samples of some of the menacing nonsense that comprises the Hamas Charter.
Granny Weatherwax - if you're reading this - is any pro-Israel action of this kind, planned for London or for any other part of the UK? If so - you may like to let Mr Spencer know.
In the meantime: UK jihadwatchers can surely send brief, polite letters of encouragement and condolence to the people of Israel, c/o the Israeli Ambassador in London. Praise them for stopping behaving like dhimmis, and claiming the right of self-defence against Quran-Sira-Hadith-fuelled Muslim aggression; praise them for resisting the Jihad and hammering the Jihad Fortress and Beachhead that is Gaza...if they get 100, or 1000 letters using that sort of terminology, the true geopolitical picture may begin to sink in.

The government should tell the 'students' that the international diplomatic system is an important tool for mutual understanding and must be respected.
Even Hitler & Stalin managed to exchange their diplomats peacefully when Hitler attacked the Soviet Union.
This proves there's no movement in Iran worthy of the name to get rid of the mullahs. The Iranian people are as full square behind their Islamist overlords as what the German people were behind Hitler in 1939.
Of course, these so-called 'students' know the West is weak and helpless, and have done so throughout the 30 years of the mullahocracy. They've seen the US and NATO humiliated time and time again, and 2007 and 2008 laid this weakness bare. I'm not sure if I sound unduly pessimistic, but what I am currently reading on various messageboards and seeing on TV in the West is starting to convince me of one thing - we are seeing the last rites of Western civilization as we know it being played out before our very eyes. If a Western Roman Empire citizen who died in say 420 AD could come back to life, he would see so many parallels between the present day West and the Rome he last saw on his deathbed. In his last moments he knew the barbarians were breaching the walls of the Empire, and that the Empire was a shadow of its former self, and that the Empire was no longer producing the calibre of men needed to reverse the dire situatuion it found itself in, whilst the barbarians, though far less technically advanced - had the drive, determination, cunning and fighting spirit to destroy Rome within a few short decades. Troops had already been withdrawn from Britain to prop up the borders of the Western Empire ten years before his death. Sound familiar today? You bet it does. We are letting down our Israeli allies and encouraging the Islamobarbarians through the self-hating do-nothing beliefs of our press and media, the dysfunctional and highly destructive leftist-Islamic alliance, our stupid notion that it is racism and bigotry to believe in ourselves, and although the enemy we face is light years behind us technologically and militarily, we are giving ground to them in some way every day, and always seek to accommodate their sensibilities at the expense of our own. There's no determination or political will to survive here in the West. We're always looking for the quick way out at what we think is minimal cost to ourselves and our mortal enemies, and failing to realise that no such way out exists without our own self worth being corroded and the foundations of the West being undermined. We cannot summon up the will to destroy them, and stupidly refuse to get it into our heads that their core texts summon them to destroy and enslave us. We pretend its just a 'tiny minority' who want to do this to us, whilst refusing to take heed of the vast levels of support the Islamobarbarians enjoy in the Islamic world, the things they actually say about us and will do to us if they're given the chance. The Winston Churchills we used to produce are nowadays discredited and but a distant memory. Political correctness and moral relativism dictate how we live today and how we handle our enemies and have drained us of our moral fibre. Worse still, a large section of the population are on a guilt trip over perceived 'past sins' and think we deserve what is coming our way and have accepted it as a given. This is a recipe for cultural suicide. Sooner or later, perhaps in the next 100 years or so, we will have handed ourselves, and more importantly our descendants - created out of our own flesh and blood - over to these barbarians, and not only that, we will have become the first civilization in the 6,000 years history of human civilization to do so to those who, on paper, were weaker than us, and could have destroyed many times over, were it not for those stupid Western liberals and leftists who openly sided with them. Pretty much on a par with what I write.
In order to remove Islamisation one must first remove Islam from the West. In not doing so you all Islam to grow and therefore become stronger.
As much as I respect Robert Spencer for his work, this situation will not end peacefully unless Islam is removed, lock stock and barrel from the West once and for all.
I have posted on other websites, one in fact is possibly the second most known one in Europe after JihadWatch/DhimmiWatch. I had the misfortune of being banned/comments deleted, because I dared ask a Politician(UKIP) what he was going to do about stopping Islamisation and more importantly the question on stopping the growth of Islam. He seems to believe that Islam is a Peaceful religion and that we can come to an understanding with one another. He is the usual politician though, just doing what he's doing in order to shove his snout deep in the trough if he gets elected to Parliament. He is unable to answer my question for the simple reason that any mention of removing Islam, would mean the end of his political career.
This is the overall feeling of Politicians in the UK and probably the West. These people are saying they want to stop Islamisation yet are continuing to fail to see the underlying main factor of Islamisation and that is the growth of Islam within Non Muslim countries.
Unless we address this situation right now, halt all immigration to the West of Muslims and actively start removing them out of the West, then by mere population growth the West will be Islamised.
It really is quite simple. It is very black and white. Islam is Islam. Those who live in the West will never be nationals to the country they are born in but subjects to Islam whom they will defend before any other. This is the madness that our politicians cannot see. They are pathetic quite frankly.
You are correct, Britain is singing its swan song and those who are British are dying out or leaving the sinking ship falling into the Abyss that is Islamisation.
It is important to realize that Islam came out of Arabia, by Arabs, and was imposed on non-Arab peoples at the point of Arab swords. Although historically some Western nations did the same, that practice has been abandoned by all except Arab Islamists and their converts. Their claim to 'sacred Islamic soil' is invalid outside of their original peninsula, and is shaky even there. The Western world is now their current expansion target and will be treated no better than people of their previous conquests. It is ironic that out of all the countless immigration of the Western World, the Irish, the Scots, the English, Welsh, French, German, Italian etc etc, they have all integrated into the cultures of those countries they decided to become part of. The exact opposite is what Islam has done and continues to do.
If Britain decided to attack France or Italy, then there would be all out war and condemnation from other European countries, however Islam is invading every country in the West and no one bats an eyelid, worse still, they help them in doing so, give them protection, allow them to spread their hate in their Mosques/Madrassas/Schools and Universities and punish those who speak out against this.
What is the West supposed to do when everything is against them and everything is for Islamisation.
