I'm still deciding on my choices. It's especially hard because I like to apply Jewish takfir in my mind to any Islamist collaborators (cf. my list in the 10 Signs of a Closet Muslim Posing as a Token Jew in Academia).

Just as I would not consider Obama to be a dhimmi because I think he's a Muslim, so would not vote for Feldman because I have applied Jewish tafsir to him. Right below it is my defense of the term 'self-hating Jew,' for which Hugh chastised himself for printing before changing it. I actuually prefer 'Jewicidal,' but 'self-hating' is accurate in many cases.
I was looking for Ted Turner to be a Dhimmi candidate. This is the fellow who equates our FBI with the KGB as well as accusing the USA of being invaders of various places including Iraq.
Mark Steyn is basically living in the US in self-imposed exile. He enjoys free speech. And according to him, the only thing he really misses about Canada is good cheese. He can't seem to find any in the US. Oh well. Can't be everything.
While on the subject of Mark Steyn, while an excellent choice any time, I would like to campaign for Coughlin. He stood up for the right reason. The need to name the enemy as they are, not what PC says. He wrote a paper laying out the truth plain and clear and what does he get, the boot. He never retracted what he said, he stood by his work. So, again Mark is a good choice, but Stephen deserves the award this year.

If each of us is only voting once in each of the categories, then - comparing the total number of votes, which is running at between 5000 and 6000 in each category (obviously, some people aren't voting in this or that category - I almost decided not to vote in the American categories since I didn't have enough clear knowledge of the candidates) - one must say that on top of the ?25-50 people who actively participate under our noms de plume, there must be around 4000 to 6000 people who drop in here regularly to read, without posting.
Think about it. Whatever you write here may be read by up to 5000 other people who are quietly leaning over your shoulder.
I told my husband that number - he's a statistician and understands such things, and is reasonably internet savvy - and he said that's pretty good for a website of this sort.
