Lego terrorist toy "sparks outrage among Muslims"

Introducing "Osama bin Lego"

More on "Muslim outrage" here, here, and here. Yet, for all this (by now hackneyed) outrage, there is also a Lego Nazi: will Germans be outraged? No, you say? The average German knows that being German does not necessarily make one a Nazi? Well and good. Why, then, are Muslims "outraged" by a terrorist doll?

"Disgust At 'Lego' Terrorist Toys," from Sky News, December 4 (thanks to Becca):

A range of Lego-style fighting figurines - including an Islamic terrorist militant - has sparked outrage among Muslims. The toy mini-figures, made by American Will Chapman, includes a masked terrorist bandit with an assault rifle, grenade launcher and belt of explosives.

Shocked by the playthings, British Muslim organisation the Ramadhan Foundation has branded the figurines "absolutely disgusting".

Chief executive Mohammed Shafiq said the figures were "glorifying terrorism".[...]

Father-of-three Mr Chapman boasts on his website that his nine-year-old son gave him the idea for the range.

The site advertises 31 different Lego-style weapons, weapons packs and 10 miniature militant figurines.

Other fighters in the range include World War Two troops, US marines - and a Nazi SS officer.

A spokesman for Lego UK said they were "not associated" with the toys being sold by BrickArms, "which have been customised without LEGO UK's knowledge or permission."

He added Lego is "committed to developing toys which enrich childhood by encouraging imaginative and creative play - and does not endorse products that do not fit with this philosophy."

Oh for crying out loud, when are the zombies ever going to get over their stupid, infantile concerns that a toy, LEGOS nonetheless, can be used to mock their barbaric cult?

Sh*t, do these stupid morons know that anyone can go to Wally-World and buy a great big LEGOS kit and build an exact replica of the Masjid Al-Haram/Ka'baa.

I'll go get one myself! After I build the replica, I'll take several pictures of my dog taking a big, fat crap right over the model.

Would that offend the zombies? Yeah, probably a hundred more times an silly little jihadist doll.

Would I care? Hell No! Bring it on, biatch! If you want an "image" war, you've barked up the wrong tree!

Sorry, Sorry, Sorry!

The above html link was too complex for the JW site parser.

This is what I meant: Masjid al-Haram

Uh, maybe someone ought to teach members of the Ramadhan Foundation how to use mirrors. The feeling of disgust they'd get from looking at themselves, similar to the one they've got from looking at Osama bin Lego, could be an excellent way to boost the rates of apostasy among them.

Man, I gotta get me one o' these!

I have a T-shirt with the words "Taliban Hunting Club" emblazoned across it, which I bought at a military base in Afghanistan. I have been told by one Muslim (a salafist at a former workplace) that it is insensitive.

"Yes," I replied, "it is insensitive to the Taliban, but I see no reason why I should be sensitive to the emotional needs of the Taliban. Do you?" He couldn't separate the fact that Taliban are Islamic terrorists from the idea that I shouldn't criticise any Muslim, whatever his crimes.

Quite telling, and not much different from the Lego case.

It's telling that when I do a Google search on the words “Ramadhan”, “Foundation”, and “disgusting” together, the hits include the Jewel of Medina, the Bin Lego toy, cartoons, and that old standby, criticism of Islam. But where is the disgust about killing people in the name of the religion, or any kind of Islamic extremism in general? Nowhere, of course.

It's not like the idea for Bin Lego doesn't have a basis in reality.

Sarcasm on/

We agree with you Ramadhan Foundation!

Gee, why would muslims connect islam with a tiny, nondescript, toy terrorist?

Its not like the little figure is holding a quran...

Kafiristani - in islam it is absolutely forbidden to condemn another muslim do allah's working, especially if condemning that muslim requires supporting the kuffar.

Listen up, infidels!

These tiny "toys", as you dhimmis call them, are actually mini-Crusaders developed by the CIA and the world-wide Jewish conspiracy and manufactured in Israel.
Innocent, young Muslim boys will pick up these so-called toys and just when they start to use them against their toy kuffar Lego figures - the mini-Crusader figures will blow up and wipe out a generation of martyrs!

Now that's disgusting!

Hmm ...

I bought my boy an r/c Shelby Mustang yesterday. Maybe I'll buy a few Osama bin Lego's now, so he can run them over with it.

that lego terrorist is holding a WW2 German waffen issued Mauser, I guess that links Nazism with todays islamic fundies. a subtle link no doubt from the makers of lego or the photographer?

It's funny how flesh-and-blood Osama bin Lego clones such as the one in the image below never cause other slaves of allah to feel outraged.

Actually the Mauser automatic pistol predates WW2 and was used in WW1 as well.

Yes, I studied at the College of Useless Knowledge.

For those interested in buying one of these figures........

They are back ordered, but I would think they would make excellent Christmas gifts (haram!) to members of, say, the Muslim Student Association.

Just trying to spread a little holiday cheer!

Islamist militants always use 30-year-old Soviet Kalashnikovs and have unibrows. So much for accuracy.

Isn't it odd how Muslims assume the lego terrorist is a Muslim parody toy.

Do you think they feel a bit guilty at the accurate depiction and now go to the Fall-Back position of "Islamophobe" or racist.

Muslims should take the cord out of their a$$ before they explode and force us to clean up the mess.

If a non-Muslim assumed that this doll was a Muslim, there would be riots. But it's the Muslims themselves that assume this terrorist is a Muslim. What does that say? Also, why aren't they as outraged when real children in Gaza wear the same thing and carry real weapons when they play or go to camp?

LEGO is a Danish company...

Oh, well, just tack it onto the long, long, long list of Things That Offend Muslims.

Dumbledore - It's just so much easier to assume that everything is capable of offending Islam at some point in time.

boneshack you make my day with that ROTFL

Seems to me they're offended because they feel guilty.. Heck the figures are faceless! They could be Northern Ireland Terrorists or even American radicals!

I am in San Diego and I am driving to Legoland to pick up as many of these babies as I can! Go Legos!!

Bwahahahah

Dang! I really really wanted some of these... But they are NOT real Legos! Wah... here's the link if you want but they are back ordered!!!

http://brickarms.com/Toys/Minifigs.aspx

I think I'll email them and ask for Inquisition figures too!! So they can hang with "Mr. White!"

I love 'em. In fact, I love everything that is offensive to you-know-who.
