An imam and a youth coordinator at a Minneapolis mosque were prohibited from boarding a flight Saturday morning to Saudi Arabia as part of a spiritual pilgrimage, an attorney for the mosque confirmed Sunday.The attorney said it's likely the men are on a federal "no fly" list because they and the mosque have been connected by rumor to a number of missing Somali men whose families fear have returned to their East African homeland to fight in that nation's civil unrest or to receive terrorist training.
The FBI, which has been investigating alleged links between some in Minneapolis' large Somali refugee community and the strife in that nation, would not comment on the airport incident. The scope of any such links, if they exist, remains unclear.
Sheikh Abdirahman Ahmed of Abubakar As-Saddique, a large mosque in the Cedar-Riverside area of Minneapolis, and the mosque's youth coordinator, who did not want to give his name, were not allowed to board a flight at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, but were not told why. The youth coordinator said others in a group that planned to make the trip -- a hajj, or spiritual pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina-- also were not allowed to board, but he did not know how many people were involved.
Mahir Sherif, a California attorney who represents Abubakar as well as other Somali mosques across the country, said there are many possible reasons why the men are on the federal Transportation Security Administration's "no fly" list, which as of mid-August contained about 50,000 names. But he suspects that the reasons are linked to stories circulating in the Somali community that the mosque has been used to indoctrinate and train young men to return to Somalia -- stories that Sherif strongly denied Sunday.
"We think, we suspect, there is some kind of formal investigation [of the mosque] being conducted by the FBI right now," Sherif said. "What gave me more evidence that there is some kind of official investigation going on was that the second man was kept from boarding. He is head of a youth group at the masjid [mosque]."...
Such an investigation would be refreshing.
Please tell me these people and everyone connected to them will be deported after the investigation and that the mosque will be bulldozed and its assets seized. Please tell me that they're going to investigate the refugee status of the whole community, as we all know that no Somalis who came here in big resettlement groups are here legitimately and that they claimed to have been enslaved by Bantus, as dictated by the Islamic Rule of Projection. Please tell me that they will investigate the whole Somali refugee racket and that there will be mass deportations of Somalis. Please. Please?

The tiny peaceful, secular enclave of Somaliland in the North of what used to be somalia was recently subjected to classic Al-Qaeda assault. Three pick up trucks laden with explosives driven by six suicide bombers hit three landmarks in Hargeisa, the enclave's capital killing nearly 30 people.
Abdi Godane, the `Emir' of the local Al-Qaeda franchise in Somalia, declared the six `martyrs' were now resting in heaven being looked after by `black-eyed' virgins. He said the attacks on somaliland were justified because it was a pro America!
Apparently that was enough to blow up hundreds of ordinary people to smithereens.
Somaliland authorities carried out an investigation pointing the finger at Somalis in Minneapolis for organising and funding the attacks. At least one of the six suicidaires may also have been a US resident.

Add me to this list advocating they be allowed to leave, with the added stipulation that they never be allowed to return. Good riddance. It will be much easier to deal with them through the sights of a Global Hawk when the time comes, and we won't have to be responsible for cleaning up the mess.
Well, About time is it not. Missing somali men. Maybe they left for a religious, spiritual trip to back and wage jihad, where it is easier to do. The mosque?? Should be under complete survellance and every member questioned with warrants issued for search and seizure. Somali mosques and imams? No doubt and more than we are aware of. The entire somlia immigration thing is bad, just bad for this country. How many are here legally??? Maybe DOI can shed some wisdom on this for us. These people should be deported only after they have been found 100% clear of ANY charges against them, or the mosque they attended. They should NEVER be allowed back into this country or any US territory, and all immigration from islamic countries be more closely controlled.
What if this had been a Christian coptic church in Egypt? It would have burned to the ground BEFORE any invetsigation, if any was done. Let's hope they get this investigation done before Obuma becomes president.

Yearly I travel to Brussels for business in September. EVERY year, I have seen VERY large groups of Muslim Somalis being escorted onto the planes by a group called OIM...some sort of refugee organization. They try to keep them under wraps and don't let them pick up their (rag tag) suitcases while the general population of the plane is getting theirs (to hide them probably). The women are in full (brown) burkas cradling babies under their burkas, men are in tattered suits/clothes and small children. They seat them at the very back of the plane.
The first year I saw them, I didn't think too much of it. The next year...saw them again and started to really wonder.
Are they coming here EVERY day of the year????
And who is sanctioning this OIM group?
It's really alarming and I was quite outraged when I saw them a year after the first time!
Why on earth are we 'importing' these barbarians?....I have heard that they literally don't know how to flush a toilet or how to turn on a lightswitch!
And yet, my German friends seriously get the third degree when they come to visit!!!!!...
