Moral Myopia and Hypocrisy Alert: World condemns Israeli action in Gaza

Crocodile tears: "A Jordanian woman cries during a demonstration against the Israeli air strikes in the Gaza Strip in Amman" -- Reuters

Where were they all when Gaza was shooting Kassams at Israeli civilians?

First, the predictable: Egypt, Jordan, Iran, and Turkey, plus a little Et Tu Brute action from Shirin Ebadi:

"Arab and Islamic leaders condemn deadly raids on Gaza," from DPA, December 27:

Cairo - Arab and Islamic leaders Saturday widely condemned the Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, in which at least 155 Palestinians were killed.

Egypt condemned the wave of the Israeli air raids on the Gaza Strip and announced it would open would its border crossing with Gaza at Rafah.

"Egypt condemns the Israeli military aggression on the Gaza Strip and blames Israel, as an occupying force, for the victims and the wounded," an Egyptian presidential statement read.

Remember, when Israel stopped "occupying" Gaza, it was supposed to be the dawn of a new era of peace. Some people knew better, of course, but no one was listening to them.

"Egypt will continue its contacts to prepare an atmosphere conducive to restoring the period of calm and achieving reconciliation between the Palestinian groups," it added. [...]

When was that period of calm again? It didn't end with Israel's action today. It ended long before that:

Meanwhile, Jordan urged an "immediate" halt to the attack.

"Jordan strongly condemns the aggression on Gaza [and] urges Israel to stop immediately its military operations and the policy of collective punishment being carried out against Palestinian civilians," the Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communication Nasser Judeh said in a statement.

Judeh added that Jordanian King Abdullah II would be "involved in moves with the world's influential powers to ensure a cessation of the military operations".

The Jordanian Foreign Minister Salab Bashir summoned the ambassadors to Amman of the five UN Security Council members to relay Amman's protest.

The Jordanian official reaction was supported by hundreds of Jordanian trade unionists and opposition party members who also staged a demonstration to protest the Israeli attack. [...]

Tehran also condemned the Israeli raids calling them savage, inhuman and contrary to all human rights norms.

"This savage and inhuman act by the Zionist regime (Israel) just adds another chapter to its dark criminal and terrorist record and is the result of the painful silence by relevant international organizations," Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hassan Ghashghavi said in a statement carried by ISNA news agency.

While calling on an urgent action by the United Nations Security Council and Organization of the Islamic Conference to stop the raids, the spokesman reiterated Iran's firm support for the Palestinian nation.

The head of parliament's foreign policy commission, Alaeddin Boroujerdi, said within the same context that "the new crimes by the Zionists (Israel) reflect their savage nature and that of those countries claiming to be civilized and defend human rights."

Boroujerdi told ISNA that support by the United States and other Western powers has de facto encouraged Israel to commit crimes such as the latest raids in Gaza Strip.

Also Iranian Nobel peace laureate and lawyer Shirin Ebadi condemned the raids and told Fars news agency "what is happening today in Gaza hurts the heart of every human being and is contrary to all human rights' norms."

In the Turkish capital Ankara, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the Israeli airstrikes were "primarily a strike against peace."

Erdogan said that he had cancelled a scheduled telephone conversation with Israeli caretaker Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, on account of the airstrikes.

The Muslim Brotherhood jumped on also: "Muslim Brotherhood Condemns Attacks on Gaza, Blames Arab Regimes," from Ikhwan Web via Huliq.com, December 27:

Muslim Brotherhood Deputy Chairman Mohamed Habib slammed the deadly attacks on Gaza that were launched by Israeli occupation on Saturday leaving dozens dead and wounded.

"The Israeli occupation forces are proving to the entire world their disrespect of all international treaties and accords, let alone the values of humanity and divine religions," Habib said in a statement.

"Where is Egypt"s role towards the massacres on Palestinian territories? Unfortunately Egypt and Arab regimes appear to be complicit in the Israeli occupation"s crimes against the Palestinian people by their shameful silence and failure to take action that would prevent these crimes," Habib added....

Plus Yemen: "Yemen denounces Israeli aggression against Gaza citizens," from Saba, December 27:

SANA'A, Dec. 27 (Saba)- An authorized source in the government stated that Yemen strongly denounces Israeli aggression and annihilation war it carries out against innocent Palestinians in Gaza.

The Yemeni government is following up very anxiously development of Israeli barbaric aggression and brutal genocides its army carries out against armless Palestinians in Gaza Strip that took life and injured hundreds, said the source.

Yemen demands quick and instant interference of the United Nation Security Council to stop these Israeli barbaric genocides, added the source. Yemen also calls on international community to take its responsibility to oblige Israel to stop its repeated aggression against Palestinian people, enable them all their rights and to establish their independent state.

And with such champions of human rights as Egypt, Yemen and Iran chiming in, could Sudan be far behind? "Sudan strongly condemns Israel's massacre against Gaza Strip," from KUNA, December 27 (thanks to Rudi):

KHARTOUM, Dec 27 (KUNA) -- Sudan on Saturday strongly condemned the Israeli brutal raids against the Palestinian people in Gaza, which killed more than a hundred of innocent people.

Sudanese foreign undersecretary Mutrif Siddiq said in a statement that his country calls for an emergency meeting at the level of the leaders of the Arab and Muslim countries to address this barbaric act of terrorism against civilians in the Gaza Strip.

He denounced the international silence over the killing of children, women, the elderly in addition to the unprecedented siege....

Then come the Eurodhimmis -- the EU: "EU calls for immediate end to violence in Gaza Strip," from DPA, December 27:

Paris - The European Union on Saturday called for an immediate end to hostilities in the Gaza Strip, following Israeli airstrikes on the territory which have left at least 155 people dead.

The EU also criticized what it called Israel's disproportionate use of force, in a statement from the current presidency of the union in Paris.

The French foreign ministry on behalf of the EU renewed its call for a permanent ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, and said that there could be no military solution to the conflict in the Gaza Strip.

All crossing points into Gaza should be opened, to allow the supply of food and fuel to the Strip, which has suffered under an economic and military blockade by Israel since 2007, the statement said.

Humanitarian%20Aid.jpg

Plus Ireland:

"Martin condemns Gaza airstrikes," from The Press Association, December 27:

Foreign Affairs Minister Micheal Martin has strongly condemned Israel's devastating air strikes against Gaza which have killed 155 people.

Mr Martin urged Israel to immediately halt its attacks and allow humanitarian agencies access to the Hamas-controlled Palestinian territory.

"I condemn in the strongest terms Israel's action in launching air strikes in Gaza against Hamas targets which have resulted in widespread civilian fatalities," he said. "These actions, far from ending the cycle of violence which has gripped both Gaza and southern Israel in recent weeks, are unfortunately only likely to escalate the situation and make the search for an effective ceasefire in Gaza even more difficult."

And a tragically short-sighted and one-sided Vatican official: "Vatican official: Israeli attacks set to increase hatred in region," from DPA, December 17:

Vatican City - Israel's airstrikes on the Gaza Strip are likely to trigger more hatred in the region, the Vatican's chief spokesman said Saturday.

Father Federico Lombardi, speaking on Vatican Radio, said an Israeli reaction to the launching of rockets by Palestinian militants following Hamas' decision not to renew a ceasefire agreement, was 'expected'.

However, the scale of the raids and the number of victims has left a a strong 'impression,' Lombardi said.

'Certainly it has been a strong blow against Hamas. At the same time there will be... numerous innocent victims,' Lombardi said.

'Hamas is a prisoner of the logic of hatred. Israel (is the prisoner) of a logic that force is the best response to hatred. We have to try and find a different solution, even if this seems impossible,' he added....

And the rapacious Russian bear reiterated its opportunistic support for the global jihad: "Israel must stop large-scale operation against Gaza – spokesman," from Itar-Tass, December 27:

MOSCOW, December 27 (Itar-Tass) - Moscow believes Israel must immediately stop a large-scale use of force against the Gaza Strip, which has already resulted in numerous casualties and sufferings of the civilian Palestinian population, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko said on Saturday.

“Early on December 27, the Israeli Air Force delivered numerous air strikes on different facilities in the Gaza Strip,” the diplomat informed. “According to media reports, the number of killed Palestinians is already about 120 people, and over 200 people were wounded,” he continued.

Russia believes it is necessary to immediately stop a large-scale use of force against the Gaza Strip, which has already resulted in numerous casualties and sufferings of the civilian Palestinian population,” Nesterenko stressed.

“At the same time, we urge the HAMAS leadership to stop air strikes on Israel,” he added. “Moscow is confident that the most urgent thing for the present day is to stop an armed confrontation, restore truce and release civilians on both sides from horror and pain,” he stressed.

The diplomat pledged that “Russia will continue in different formats insistent efforts in order to break the vicious circle of violence as an indispensable condition for solving the existing problems through negotiations”.

Good luck with that.

Meanwhile, Israel's friend and ally, the U.S., issues a pious and hypocritical warning -- one that will play into the hands of those who wish to destroy Israel utterly in the name of Islamic jihad: "U.S. urges Israel avoid civilian casualties in Gaza," by Tabassum Zakaria for Reuters, December 27:

WACO, Texas, Dec 27 (Reuters) - The United States on Saturday urged Israel to avoid civilian casualties in air strikes on Gaza but did not call for an end to the attacks in pursuit of Hamas targets that killed at least 155 people.

The White House said for the violence to end, Hamas, which the United States considers a terrorist organization, must stop rocket attacks into Israel.

Israeli warplanes and combat helicopters pounded the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip killing at least 155 people in the bloodiest day for Palestinians in more than 20 years.

Palestinian militants responded with rocket fire that killed an Israeli, medics said.

"Hamas' continued rocket attacks into Israel must cease if the violence is to stop," White House spokesman Gordon Johndroe said in Texas where President George W. Bush is on vacation at his ranch.

"Hamas must end its terrorist activities if it wishes to play a role in the future of the Palestinian people," Johndroe said. "The United States urges Israel to avoid civilian casualties as it targets Hamas in Gaza."

The Bush administration has typically taken the position that Israel has the right to defend itself....

Mighty big of the Bush administration to "typically" take such a stance!

Pamela has photos of hypocritical reactions from around the Islamic world.

Everyone blames America for all it's problems, using the logic that since Americans elected Bush twice, they deserved what they got. The int. nat. community never seems to use the same logic with the Gazans, however, who elected Hamas by a much wider majority than Bush every got.

That was a good round-up of those par-for-the-course predictable reactions. Why not just write them down in advance, so you don't even have to bother googling to reproduce the real, but long-ago-scripted, denunciations, by so many, in all their dismal and context-less untruth?

Good job Bush administration. As though Israel doesn't do enough already to avoid civilian causalities, including risking the lives of its own soldiers to save those who plot their destruction and extermination.

Nice of the Bush administration to put the idea out there for the ignorant and bigoted that Israel is unconcerned with human life.
I never realized how many "educated people" both in the US and around the world have no clue about Israel and think only the worst about the Jews in the Middle East.

They have been taught in schools and by the media that both sides are full of extremists, both sides are indifferent or worse when it comes to the lives of the other, and that the Israelis are brutal occupiers, ruthless exploiters of the "indigenous" population and the cause of much of the Middle East's violent and unstable recent history by settling in a land where they weren't wanted, that had been populated by another "people" who had lived there for a thousand years before having been driven off their land by the militarily powerful and economically dominant European Jews, who were able to establish their state with the support of the Western powers, who were happy to have an ally in the Middle East to use for their own schemes to dominate the region and exploit its resources.

The Bush administration has just taken another step to reinforce these notions with its comments.

Sadly, statements and policies by the Israeli leadership and much of the American Jewish community (in their own ignorance) has hurt Israel's image as the Jews seem to have a need to be even-handed or understand the narrative of their enemies, no matter how evil their actions and unworthy their cause.

"Where were they all when Gaza was shooting Kassams at Israeli civilians?"

Rooting them on.

"Where were they all when Gaza was shooting Kassams at Israeli civilians?"

Indeed...where were they... no sound ... no tears ... no marches ... no news coverage ... no nothing ... no humanrights advocations?

Mohamedians and their way of life sucks. Keep it off my shores!

It is Fictive Reality, not political correctness (or, properly put, political correctitude) that has sent the globe into this tailspin toward world government. What I said.

* 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 ** 33:21 *

Those weren't crocodile tears. She actually believes this incredible bullsheet. Doing so feels so good, so pious. So aggrieved. All the good feelings are there in those wet delusive tears.

Lawyers call this phenomenom "drinking your own whiskey," where the lawyer who foisted a cockamamie line as a court strategy actually comes to take it for the truth.

That's a dangerous thing. When a lawyer does it, a client could lose a trial. When the whole world does it, everybody could lose their freedom.

Here we go now.

Remember innocents is Islam speak is Muslims. Non Muslims are considered haram and dirt. Muslims will never denounce attacks by Jihadis on Non Muslims, contrary they will celebrate and protest with venomous hate against Israel, India etc. The sad part is all the dhimmi media and leaders go on supporting the religion of mass murder and their minions.

Islam thrives on infidel blood.

Savsiv:

Exactly. The only terror attacks which any noticable number of Muslims have ever condemned are attacks in which fellow Muslims have been killed. And even then, they often only condemn the attacks for "hurting Muslims".

I am not happy with President Bush's reaction either. However, his successor will prove to be far less of an ally of Israel than our soon to be ex-President.

Bush is just worried about his legacy, not what is right.

You can find on-line the account by the BBC, from "the BBC's Rushdi Aboualouf," their man in Gaza (well, Tim Franks is the primary anti-Israel propagandist in Gaza, but Rushdi Abaoulouf is apparently a member of the local supporting staff), an account meant to be entirely unsypathetic, of course, to Israel and of course meant to win our sympathy for the "Palestinians" who have done nothing to deserve any of this:

"It's hard to find a secure place in Gaza. Gaza has no shelters, it has no safe places. The Hamas security compounds are in the middle of the city - it's not the kind of place where you see compounds outside the cities.

I have witnessed one of the compounds - which is 20m away from my house - I was standing on the balcony and I have seen the Israeli airplanes hitting the place. "

So what do we learn from his report? That the "security compounds" are deliberately placed "in the middle of the city." It's no different from the anti-aircraft missiles and guns deliberately placed on top of mosques and schools by the PLO, in Lebanon in 1982, and Hezbollah hiding -- not quite to the extent that the PLO did -- among civilians as much as possible.

And yet, look what the Israelis did -- the reporter was standing on his balcony, a mere 20 meters from "one of the compouonds" and he saw "the Israeli airp[lanes hitting the place" and leaving him, still standiing on his balcony. And why did he stay on his balcony during all this? Because, despite the stories of they wish us all to believe, their own actions and attitudes bespeak their real understanding. They call the Israelis Nazis, but clamor to be treated in Israeli hospitals, by those same "Nazis." They call the Israelis murderers, but whenever a group of Arabs wants to flee another group of Arabs -- those "Palestinians" who fled from King Hussein's Bedouin troops during the crackdown on Black September -- they try to ford the Jordan, arms raised, hoping desperately that they will be allowed to surrender to the Israeli "killers."

And here, on his balcony, in the full security of knowing how careful the Israelis are, this Arab reporter stands, and sees the bombing, some twenty meters away, of one of those military targets that the Israelis aimed for, and hit, and once again, showed the world that denounces them -- what other country, anywhere, has engaged in such spectacularly pinpoint bombing designed to spare all but strictly military targets, even with those targets deliberately having been placed smack in the middle of, cheek by jowl with, civilian apartment buildings, schools, hospitals.

Once again the Israeli Air Force amazes.

Robert / Jihadwatch wrote:

Thanks for this accurate statement.

The point is, his successor is a radical leftist -- maybe a Marxist -- who little doubt has deep sympathies for these jihadists. We know where he and his supporters stand.

George W. Bush is a self-professed conservative Christian. Shouldn't we (conservatives) expect better from this man?

Israelis die and the world yawns. Arabs die and it's an outrage against humanity. Right. Now, not a single Arab would die from Israeli gunfire if the Arab and Muslim world would just leave Israel alone. They don't. They're the provokers. They're the ones who want to wipe a nation off the map. They're the ones who think compromise means they get everything they want. Israel has no desire to wipe any nation off the map and has compromised for peace repeatedly, sometimes to an even dangerous degree. Moreover, Israel would agree to a new Palestinian nation right along side it IF that new nation would truly live in peace with Israel (hell, this has been the case since 1947). But the Muslim world wants no Israel and so Israel must defend itself. Why doesn't everyone see this other than the pathetic Muslim world which doesn't see anything clearly? Because much of the world is an idiot. And a hypocrite.

"A Jordanian woman cries during a demonstration against the Israeli air strikes in the Gaza Strip in Amman"
-- the caption or dismal didascalia under the Reuters photograph above

What does the word "Jordanian" mean here? Is the woman with the ready tear and palpable indifference to the Israeli suffering, living in what is Eastern Palestine, a Western Palestinian Western Palestinian, or is she an Eastern Palestinian Western Palestinian?

Here's an excerpt from a previous posting about the different conceivable ways to describe those now living in what was territorially once part of the League of Nations’ Mandate for Palestine (though the Mandatary, Great Britain, decided that the clauses relevant to facilitating Jewish immigration would not be applied to the land east of the River Jordan, which then became a consolation prize for the Hashemite Abdullah, as the Emirate of Transjordan, and since 1946 renamed “the Arab Kingdom of Jordan.”). For more click on the link posting Posted by: Hugh at March 18, 2006 8:34 AM --

"So Jordan, in its populated parts (not the Syrian Desert) comprises Eastern Palestine, and Israel Western Palestine.

What does this mean? It means that in Jordan both Eastern Palestinians (Jordanians) and Western Palestinians (from the territory now held by Israel) live. A persone born in Jordan to "Western Palestinian" parents would call himself Jordanian. A person born in Jordan to parents who were born in Jordan, to grandparents who were born in Mandatory Palestine, would call himself whatever is most advantageous to him, depending on where he travels, to whom he speaks, and who harbors what suspicions. It is best, in Arab countries, to be a "Jordanian" not a "Palestinian," despite all the support for "Palestinians" as the shock troops of the Jihad against Infidel Israel. On the other hand, at least until recently, one might garner more sympathy from the unwary Westerner by calling oneself a "Palestinian" who lives in Jordan, that is to say, a "Western-Palestinian Eastern Palestinian." And what of those who were born in, say, the West Bank in 1953, and were therefore Jordanian at birth, and now live in Amman? Such a person would be a Jordanian, but no ordinary Jordanian. Rather, from 1948 to 1967, those people born under Jordan's rule in the West Bank, and Jordanian citizens (no one talked then of "Palestinians" or of a "Palestinian people" -- that came, hesitatingly, and then with greater assurance, sometime after the defeat of June 1967) from birth. In order to distinguish such people from those "Palestinians" born in Eastern Palestine, i.e. east of the Jordan River, it would be best to speak of Western-Palestinian Eastern Palestinians (born in Israel and the West Bank, and now living in Jordan) and Eastern-Palestinian Eastern Palestinians (born in Jordan of parents or grandparents who were from "Eastern Palestine" and still living there) and the final group, those people who were born in Jordan, as were their parents and grandparents. These would be the Jordanians, or rather the plain-vanilla unadjectivized Eastern Palestinians, mostly of Bedouin extraction."

Hypocrisy in Action:
Where were Egypt, Russia, OIC, EU, Britain, Sarkozy, US & Austria when Hamas was pounding Israel with daily barrage of rockets?

http://muslimsagainstsharia.blogspot.com/2008/12/hypocrisy-in-action.html

Go Israel!

While I'm all for using disproportinate force against the Islamist scum, I don't consider this response disproportionated in any sense.

/sarcasm on

Of course she's crying... Now "innocents" have died. Before it was only evil kaffirs that were dying...

/sarcasm off

From the AP-Ibrahim Barzak:"The air offensive followed weeks of intense Palestinian rocket and mortar fire on southern Israel, and Israeli leaders had issued increasingly tough warnings in recent days that they would not tolerate continued attacks."

OH REALLY? Indeed, so if that's the case, and even the AP has known all along, then why hasn't the media picked it up all this time and been duly reporting it ad nauseum every day until everyone demands that Israel retaliate? They're not just dhimmified either...

I am SO sick of this one-sided skewed vision that Israel attacks without provocation. There's been hardly a blurb in the media about what's been happening lately and what hamas has been threatening all along. The destruction of Israel.

The really skewed thing is that if you talk to any islamic arab, they all claim that the media is owned by "Jew Dogs." When anything doesn't go their way, it's must be the "Jew Dogs" fault. In fact, they all like to claim that 9/11 is the "Jew Dogs" fault and it's some kind of conspiracy. But secretly, they know and are proud it was done by 19 islamists. 15 Saudians, 2 U.A.E.rs, 1 Lebanese, 1 Egyptian. Not just terrorists, but skillfully trained and murderous islamists with one cause. Death to infidels.

And the news is so damned subtle with its defense of hamas and islamic philistines that I feel as if I am being hit with a big wooden club. I won't even read it anymore.

Here's another quote from Barzak:
"In Gaza City's main security compound, bodies of more than a dozen uniformed security officers lay on the ground. One survivor raised his index finger in a show of Muslim faith, uttering a prayer. The Gaza police chief was among those killed. One man, his face bloodied, sat dazed on the ground as a fire raged nearby."

But why doesn't Barzak point out what that one finger actually means? It means that all of islam is united. It means they don't care if they all end up under sharia law and despotic rulers. It means that they are one faith no matter what (wahhabians, shiites, sunnis, etc. etc.) and they want death for ALL non-believers. ONE FINGER-ONE PEOPLE-ONE FAITH. I won't forget that fact, ever!

God bless Israel. Let it stand forever, just like Your name, the one true god, YHWH...

These statements are just meant to appease the "Arab street". If people were actually concerned about the Gazans they would have publically condemned the rockets and warned of the potential consequences. After Lebanon, I don't know why anyone would be surprised. I can't wait for India to lead the condemnations at the UN again. That's always funny.

Pass the sick bucket:
The Telegraph reported that the Israelis even killed "an old man in a wheelchair" a couple of years ago in a missile strike.

I guess we all know who that was...

I have no time for the crazed fanatics of Hamas. they are murderers. But as a human being I say this latest action by Israel is NOT justified.

Hamas has lobbed thousands of rockets at Isarel but, but mercifully, they cause more panic amongst Israeli civilians than actual causualties. This is not because the terrorist dont want to kill as many Jews as they can but because they simply do not have the means to do so.

Israel is a civilised nation with civilised values and it and its supporters must NEVER forget that. Targetted neutralisation of Hamas murderers? Absolutely. Bombing a whole town and taking 200 lives in one go? Hell No!

Lets just hope the whole thing was a tactical miscalculation by the IDF rather than a deliberate political decision by the Israeli leadership.

We all know that if rockets were being fired even for 10 minutes from Canada into Dearbornistan, the Muslims and Arabs of that community would be whining to the government for protection and to retaliate. And the US government would stop the rockets quickly and forever. No country would tolerate what Israel is being asked to put up with. The rocket attacks on Israel are an act of war and a war crime since they are intended to kill and maim civilians including children. If there really were 155 casualties in Gaza and we can not be sure that number is accurate as Muslims are known for lying. Those who died may well be Hamas terrorists and even if they are "civilians" there deaths are on the hands of the terrorists who fired rockets into Israel.Israel left Gaza to the Palestinian savages and daily rocket attacks have been their thanks. Israel should forget what the rest of the world thinks and pound Gaza for as long as it takes to stop the rockets. Do not send in ground troops that puts Israel soldiers at risk in an effort to limit "civilian" casualties in Gaza.Israel gets no thanks from the rest of the world for exercising restraint.Pound Gaza from the air into submission. Submission is something Muslims understand.

The Telegraph reported that the Israelis even killed "an old man in a wheelchair" a couple of years ago in a missile strike.

That would be Shiek Yassin a vile piece of scum who supported suicide bomb attacks in Israel and advocated genocide. The world is a much better place without him.

Israel needs to remove the heads of the current Hydra.

Canceling a ceasefire works both ways. Show Hamas the price for doing so.

Georgie didn't tell them to stop.

Roxanne

The kind of `pounding' you advocate will not stop Hamas from firing rockets, cost hundreds of civilian lives, strengthen Hamas's hand and weaken Al-Fatah's and seriously undermine Israel's image as a civilised, humane, democratic State.

Is that what you really want? I doubt it. If I lived in Sderot I will probably feel exactly the way you feel now. It is a natural human reaction to feel an urge to hit back hard at your tormentor. But sometimes it is important not to act with our immediate and natural impulses.

until Israel wipes out gaza, the west bank, syria, iran, hamas and the hez, Israel will not have peace...

the violence of islam only recognizes and bows down to greater power....

what did the 6 months of cease fire do???

allowed hamas and hez to fortify and rearm...

if the muslims would lay down their weapons there would be peace in the mideast....

if Israel laid down her weapons, Israel would be destroyed by the muslims....

WW3 is coming and it will center around Israel and nuclear fire will rain down across the middle east....

The BBC published this article earlier pertaining to Israel's counter-terrorism operation in Gaza.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/7800985.stm

At the end of the article the BBC had this request:

"Are you in Gaza? Have you been affected by the Israeli military action? Please send your comments using the form below:

"Send your pictures to yourpics@bbc.co.uk, text them to +44 7725 100 100 or you have a large file you can upload here. "

I did send in a comment using their form. And my comment went like this:

"Are you in Israel?"

"Have you been affected by the Islamic terrorist attacks from Gaza?

"Have you been affected by the indiscriminent launching of rockets by Hamas and other Islamists into civilian areas of Israel?

"Why not send your comments and pictures to the BBC."?

It was not long after I used the BBC comment form to send that in, that the above questions and requests for pictures and videos from Islamists in Gaza "disappeared" from the bottom of the BBC article.

Gorgi in response to your vacillating I am stealing a quote from Muslims against Sharia.

Gorgi, I am sorry, but do you live with rockets landing in your town everyday and night with panic and terror in your heart? Think about that. I am not talking about the casual terrorism Israelis must live with, the everyday mundane human bombs that may be lurking around the next corner. I am talking about rockets, everyday and at any time, and you don't know where the next one's going to hit. Your neighbors? Your backyard? Your local shop? Your roof? Your children's school? Day after unending day. Night after unending night. Why should anyone have to live like that? And why should Israel not defend itself against an unending terrorism of rocket barrages? The agenda of hamas IS to kill and terrorize civilians, not militia targets.

Anyway, hamas would've only escalated the violence until Israel finally had to retaliate. If hamas were to stop firing rockets upon their true targets, Israeli citizens, then you would see Israel pull back. But it won't happen because hamas has vowed their ultimate islamic jihad: Death to Israel. (And ultimately, death to all infidels.)

I took my mother to Israel over 20 years ago and she noticed an escort of Israeli militia accompanying small Israeli children to their school(we were in Jerusalem, btw.) She said, "Isn't that sad? That they have to teach their children to carry guns?" My reply to her was, "Isn't it more sad that there are enemies who would kill innocent children?"

Israel has every right to defend themselves and to be able to do so without hypocritical recrimination and veiled innuendos. As an American, I refuse to live with terror and they, as Israelis, have every right to refuse that also!

Dear Gorgi,

According to what civilized law is a country not allowed to strike enemy targets if they are placed within the vicinity of civilian areas? The answer: none. Not even the Geneva Conventions. Nobody enjoys the ideas of innocent people being killed in warfare but the question is who bears responsibility? The lawful answer is the combatants who hide themselves among non-combatants. Frankly, to not hold the Arabs accountable for their actions is racist.

Georgie didn't tell them to stop.

You never fail to disappoint me flowerknife.

Gorgi,

There have been over 3000 rockets fired from Gaza into Israel this year. This is after Israel left Gaza. The Hamas government has done nothing to stop the rocket attacks and instead has praised them. Do you think if rockets were being fired from the US into Mexico with the intent to kill and maim Mexican men, women and children that the US government would not do everything to stop the rocket attacks and bring the terrorists to justice? That is what civilized countries do and if the Hamas government had done everything it could to stop the rocket attacks then Israel would not be justified in retaliating.

The reality is that the Hamas government has done nothing to stop the rockets and in fact has encouraged them, which is an act of war and a war crime. The blood of any civilians killed in either Israel or Gaza is on the hands of the Hamas government and the terrorists. That's the way war works.I could care less about the slow Jihadis of Al-Fatah or about Israel's image. It appears Israel is respected as long as it allows its people to be terrorized, maimed and killed. Who needs that kind of respect?Israel's first responsibility is to protect its own citizens. Its up to Hamas to protect the citizens of Gaza, one way to do that is by stopping the rocket attacks on Israel. Israel is at war and its time that Gaza was treated the way the Germans and Japanese were treated during WW2.Pounding those two nations into submission eventually lead to peace.

I really think, Gaza should be declared a state. Just imagine, as a state, it would have to be reliable for its own resources and consequences of its state behavior. Israel would no longer have to provide electricity and cooking oil, or anything else, Gaza would have to purchase these things on the open market. Rockets, launched from Gaza into Israel would be an act of war, not terrorist activities, as such Israel could declare war on Gaza. Then the West should cut off all aid to the state of Gaza. All material goods into the state of Gaza should be paid for in advance. No COD. If the state of Gaza wants to cry foul, let them play from a full deck.

Thank God I am Infidel

Of course Isarel has every right to hit back and take out terrorists. I never said Israel should just sit back and take it.

I said the hitting back has to be done with care, balance and civility. Just because terrorists like Hamas target civilians Isarel shouldnt and mustn't do likewise.

An aide to late great Golda Meir apparently once saw her weeping after she signed an order authorising the killing of Palestinian terrorists in Europe. When the aide asked her she said I am crying because Arab terrorists have forced us to turn our own boys into killers!

That is the kind of Israel I would like to see. Israel that kills reluctantly and only when it
absolutely have.

There is some comforting news: Most of the dead appear to be Hamas `Policemen' ie trained killers and therfore legitimate targets. Lets hope that latest report is true.

"World condemns Israeli action in Gaza"

The title is wrong. It should be "Governments around the world condemn Israeli action in Gaza'.
Most people around the world are supporting the Israeli government for protecting their citizens against the deadly terrorist organization Hamas and their rockets. It is the government elite who think it is fashionable to be hypocritical.

Roxanne

I refer you to my response above to TGII.

BTW the pounding of Germany did not end the war -no war was even won with missiles and airpopwer alone before Serbia capitulated in the 90s - it was won with boots on the ground followed by winning over war weary people. And then, and this is crucial, we helped them create democratic societies and ..left them.

Worth remembering by Israel.

Naresh, Agreed or perhaps if they were honest it should read, 'World Marvels at Israeli Restraint'

War is hell.

But dhimmitude - living in what Hugh has summed up as 'a condition of permanent humiliation, degradation, and physical danger', or as I would put it, living as combination chew toy, milch cow, punching bag, scapegoat and Designated Prey for the arrogant and frequently mass-murderous Muslim supremacists - is seven hells worse.

Israel has chosen to NOT act like dhimmis.

Good on them.

When I go to church this morning, during the communion I will be praying for the Lord Yeshua to protect His people the Jews, and grant them a decisive victory against the murderous Mohammedans. In so doing I have the wellbeing of the few (5000?) remnant Christians of Gaza in mind, as well.

If the Israelis were to go all out - if they were to flatten Gaza from end to end, obliterate most of the jihadi gang bosses and their thugs, and (allowing the Christians to remain) evict every last Muslim 'civilian' in it (even the little children have had their souls poisoned with Hamas-indoctrinated thoroughly Quranic hatred and jihad fervour) into Muslim Egypt - and absorb Gaza into Israel, end of story, then guess what: instead of cowering like terrified dhimmis under the extortion and threats of Hamas' thugocracy (which only recently declared its intention of imposing the ghastliness of sharia) the Christians of Gaza would be able to live in peace and worship in freedom under the mantle of Israel.

That is the kind of Israel I would like to see. Israel that kills reluctantly and only when it absolutely (has to).

Isn't this the Israel we've witnessed since '73?

Lest we get lost here, don't forget how Gaza came to be "free" in the first place.

The original Palestinians have split up into three: Jordanians, Palestinians, and Israeli Arabs. Shouldn't the Israeli Arabs have their own state in Gallilee? Shouldn't the Bedouins have their own state in the Negev?;););)

Two can play that game. Demand a Haredi state, an Ashkenazi state, a Falash Mura state, a Mizrahi state etc.

Dumbledoresamy

A bit an exaggeration all this Dhimmitude stuff isnt it?

I also find your call for ethnic cleansing of Gaza offensive. I know many Jews will too.

The civilized thing for Israel to do is pound Gaza. The uncivilized thing would be to do nothing while barbarians keep blasting rockets into Israel.

Any civilized country will act to defend its people and democracy from enemies who are willing to harm it.

As long as Israel's democracy and protection of its people are intact, it will always be a nation that epitomizes a great civilization.

Gorgi

the Christians in Gaza are 'Arabs' and speak Arabic. They are being persecuted unmercifully by their everlovin' Muslim neighbours. One of them, Rami Ayyad, was murdered out of hand, only last year. Do you think the Hamas government has exerted itself even the tiniest bit to track down the people who murdered him in cold blood, in broad daylight? Nope.

The Gazan Christians would be better off under Israeli rule.

If I say that all who subscribe to ideology A (murderous Quran-Sira-Hadith Islam) should be evicted from their defeated fortress, whilst those among them (the Christians) who subscribe to ideology B (Christianity) should be allowed to remain as said fortress passes to new and improved management, I don't see that that can be logically described as 'ethnic cleansing'.

For the Israelis to evict the Muslims from Gaza - a population that has been steeped, day and night, since the 1950s at least (see Nonie Darwish who experienced that brainwashing into hatred, see Martha Gellhorn's reports on Muslim propaganda in Gaza in 1960), from their toddlerhood on up, in a witches' brew of Quranically based hatred and aggression and Arab/ Muslim supremacism - would not be 'ethnic cleansing'. It would be the rollback, from their western flank, of an enemy army.

Why should the Israelis be required to supply, and empathise with, or even receive into their bosom and embrace, an enemy army? And such an enemy - an enemy that has openly stated, on many an occasion, its full intention of annihilating Israel, killing every Jew in the world, and, ultimately, conquering, and imposing sharia upon, the entire human race?

Start at the northern end of Gaza and napalm it from the north to the south. Bulldoze the remnants into the Mediterranean and then the Zionists can re-settle the land.

If only....

Oh dear, I think Kuffar made a whoopsie.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how one can get the media to acknowledge that Hamas has been bombing Israel for months and years?

If I hear someone complaining about Israel's actions I will point out that if Indonesia started throwing bombs at Darwin what do they think we would do and how long would it take us?

Ireland's Foreign Affairs Minister Micheal Martin has strongly condemned Israel's devastating air strikes against Gaza which have killed 155 people.
"I condemn in the strongest terms Israel's action in launching air strikes in Gaza against Hamas targets which have resulted in widespread civilian fatalities," he said.

-------

This statement says it all. It captures the convoluted thinking plaguing so many political leaders everywhere.

Ireland's Foreign Affairs Minister Micheal Martin (and others like him) should understand that there is no way for Israel to launch airstrikes against Hamas targets without any resulting "civilian" fatalities. In fact, I believe that there would be few, if any, "civilian" fatalities if Hamas would cease LAUNCHING strikes from areas heavily populated with civilians. But of course, Hamas intentionally does this in order to benefit from the world "reaction" when Israel eventually does retaliate. A reaction that we are now witnessing.

Israel DID NOT target civilians.

If Israel truly targeted civilians in the Gaza strip, there would be very few survivors - period.

http://www.menapress.com/
this agency says that according to its sources 90% of the killed were Hamas members

[/quote]

Oh really? You care to back this up? Where did you learn Islamic jurisprudence from? Do you even know what "haram" means? Go on, I assume you can support that statement because you clearly seem so certain its factually correct.

"Muslims will never denounce attacks by Jihadis on Non-muslims". Thats funny. I could have sworn i saw pretty much every major Islamic Organisation in the West, condeming 9/11, 7/7, Madrid and even the cowardly Mumbai attacks recently. Where exactly do you get your news from, hmmm?

You people are predictable in your responses. Sheep, mindlessly parroting the same nonsense as one another, reinforcing what the previous Ignoramous said before him.

Want to accuse anyone of Moral myiopia, how about looking in a mirror. You accuse Hamas of these cowardly rocket attacks thats fine, we all know how bad they are.
How about the Daily acts of Violence from the Israeli Settlers and Soldiers against Palestinians? All of which are well documented by various Israeli and International Human Right's Organisations.

Oh Silly me, i forgot. Those are all just the invention of the Pallywood propaganda machine right?

some comments:
These statements about human rights from such paragons of liberty and justice as Iran, Egypt, the Sudan, and Yemen are a load of b.s. even worse that the propaganda dished out by the communists during the Cold War about "liberation armies" fighting "capitalist aggression".
Another crock is the business about innocent civilian casualties: the only innocent civilians in Gaza are all under about three years of age. All the rest are either terrorists or terrorists-in-training, or supporters and trainers of terrorists.
And note that all through the rocket and mortar attacks on Israel, the "inhuman" Israelis were sending in food supplies at roughly the rate of one pound of food per Gazan per day. Just imagine the U.S. fighting Imperial Japan during WW2 with two fleets: the Pacific Fleet to fight the Japanese navy, and the Humanitarian Fleet delivering 30,000 tons of food/day to Japan.

Phoenix,

I do not need to back it up because the Mohammedans who follow the pedophile, mass murdering rapist and first terrorist back it up for me and it is a fact.

"I really think, Gaza should be declared a state. Just imagine, as a state, it would have to be reliable for its own resources and consequences of its state behavior."

DeadRecknoning-That is exactly what is happening right here and right now. Gaza may not be officially a state, but they have held their own elections and have declared hamas and hezbollah their leaders. Israel has been remarkably hands off in letting the philistines have Gaza, much to the detriment of the Christian Arab population. It goes to show how they are NOT capable of running their own state/country.

As far as the "border" control goes, Egypt is to the south and offers very little or no support. It also goes to show how much the philistines are "beloved" by the middle east. I ask how can rockets make it to Gaza but not necessary supplies? That is all they are given by the islamic nations, furtherance of hatred. The islamic middle eastern kingdoms and so-called "democratic" Egypt offer them nothing in the way of "enlightenment." Well, except for caterwauling when it's deemed appropriate, such as now... That they have in surfeit!

Moral Myopia and Hypocrisy Alert: World condemns Israeli action in Gaza (from the article)

This artice shows my sentiments exactly. This is outragious behaviour by the media.

"How about the Daily acts of Violence from the Israeli Settlers and Soldiers against Palestinians? All of which are well documented by various Israeli and International Human Right's Organisations."

Phoenix-who is the sheep here? Your own dhimmified statement belies the facts. "ISRAELI and International Human Right's organizations." Israel's people and government allow for introspection and self-recrimination. Israelis dismantle settlements accordingly going against their OWN Zionists. The islamic world simply does not do anything of that category within its borders. There are no rights for non-muslims within islamic states. Please show me ONE organization in Saudia that spoke up against 9/11 or the current rocket attacks from Gaza. There is none and that is because there is NO introspection and self-recrimination...

"Want to accuse anyone of Moral myiopia, how about looking in a mirror. You accuse Hamas of these cowardly rocket attacks thats fine, we all know how bad they are.
How about the Daily acts of Violence from the Israeli Settlers and Soldiers against Palestinians? All of which are well documented by various Israeli and International Human Right's Organisations."

We dont need to since those organizations do just that, they dont however document the daily rocket attacks and various forms of jihad and Islamic oppression. Thats why sites like this are needed. Thanks for playing.

Phoenix --

Are you brave enough to give us a little background on yourself, ie, your religious background? Are you a Muslim, perhaps?

Phoenix,

Oh yes the blood thirst Mohammedans refer to all Non Muslims as Najis unclean. Islam loves the blood of Najis the non Muslims.

You lover of Mohammad the first mass murdering terrorist and thug. The pedophile who slept with a 6 year old girl. Only thing he know was to robe, rape, kill, lie and his followers continue his barbaric ways.

Hamas just got their asses handed to them and people in the civilized world are supposed to feel sorry? I don't think so.

Serves them right.

Hugh,

I visited Germany during the world cup in 2006. We met and spoke with a lot of Germans. I remember I nearly got caught out when in one conversation I proffered that I always dreamed of going to Germany as a child. Oops! Glad I didn't continue, I dreamed of going in a Lancaster.

Reading some of the News articles maybe the Israeli air force did miss some better targets. Some media correspondents would definitely be great targets of opportunity, the BBC in particular.

Go Israel the free world is behind you regardless of the dhimmi’s and apologists. We trust your aim is true.

10000 African Muslims have found refuge in Israel among the Jews. They couldnt go to Gaza with fellow Muslims, because the Arabs are racist. TheY honor-killed an Arab girl because she married an Afro-Muslim. That is taboo.

Israel was in their right to fight back. Bullies always get theirs in the end and get it real bad. NO ONE LIKE A BULLY. ISLAM IS WORST THAN A BULLY, IT IS PURE LUNANCY(INSANITY)

War...and Israel is at war, is not about proportionate reponses. A proportionate response is a civilian police concept, not a proper response by a country under attack by aggressors.
The proper response in a war is to hit this enemy so hard that the populace has second thoughts about their enthusiastic support for continued aggression....or to put it another way..Hit them so hard.. they ring like a ten penny nail struck with a greasy ball peen hammer!

"How about the Daily acts of Violence from the Israeli Settlers and Soldiers against Palestinians?" --Phoenix the Mohammedan

There are no "Palestinians!" They are Trans-Jordanians. Go back to Jordan, you Islamic Barbarians. Get out of Israel!

Bravo/a Israelis! It's YOUR country! Dig in your heels and fight for it! Stop the Muzlim Bullies/Mass-Murderers!

Yeah, what darcy stated!

Stand your ground, Israel, and don't give those land whores one more inch of YOUR land!!! This fight has been long overdue. Go Israel!

Wild Jew

I do try to be concistent.

The question now is if Israel will be persistent.

Gorgi said
"I said the hitting back has to be done with care, balance and civility. Just because terrorists like Hamas target civilians Isarel shouldnt and mustn't do likewise."

Show me one instance where the IDF has purposely targeted civilians. And I mean targeted civilians...not a military target purposely placed in the middle of a neighborhood in hopes that the "civility" of which you speak, will prevent a retaliatory strike on said target.

Failing that, they openly hope for civilian deaths to further their cause in the Media circus. (This is a common tactic that we here at Jihadwatch are very familiar with...it's used all the time and for decades.)

And apparently they succeed...because you Gorgi, as a PERFECT example...believe that Israeli soldiers thirst for the blood of innocents...or you wouldn't post such crap as the above. Stop drinking the Kool aid, and think for yourself. The truth is easy to find if you care to.

Go Israel! Kill terrorists! Protect the innocent, punish the guilty!
And how do you judge the guilty Gorgi, would no doubt ask...you know they're guilty and need to die when they try to kill you.

Islam is a lie and truth is killing it.

An observation, from not to distant history - when the minds of free men were much more clear than today.

“If you kill enough of them, they will stop fighting”
- Gen. Curtis Lemay

"That is the kind of Israel I would like to see. Israel that kills reluctantly and only when it
absolutely have."

Gorgi, I assumed you read the same article I have featuring the chart which shows over 200 rockets have been fired into Israel without a response. How many more rockets needed to fall in Israel before they proved their reluctancy or how many needed to fall before it became necessary to fight back? Again Gorgi, you make it sound like this conflict is between adults (Israelis) and children (Arabs) and the Israelis need to act more like adults and be more understanding of the fact that they are dealing with children.

GO Israel GO. Keep on bombing the shit out of those Gaza muslim hamas-terrorists and terrorist supporters. This Hindu supports Israel and with me there are many other right minded non-muslim people around the world that understand why Israel had to act and support the Israeli actions.

An observation, from not to distant history - when the minds of free men were much more clear than today.

“If you kill enough of them, they will stop fighting”

GREAT Quote. That Gen. Curtis Lemay knew what he was talking about.

It is becoming increasingly clear that if Israel wants a serious chance at a long lasting peace they should turn Gaza and Westbank into one big graveyard.
That may sound hard but this is war and wars are not won by the weak-hearted softies.
If your enemy is hardcore you need to be ultra-hardcore in order to defeat him.
It's high time for Israel to fight fire with fire.

Paying attention wrote:

'Does anyone have a suggestion on how one can get the media to acknowledge that Hamas has been bombing Israel for months and years?'

Yup, I do - write them. Tell them to quit being such door knobs. Here is the letter I wrote to our news station about their coverage of the Israeli attacks:

Dear Sir/Madam,

May I suggest that you do more careful reporting to fully reflect the reality of this situation. I watched the story of the Israeli attacks as presented on the news tonight and found it to be decidedly one-sided ie against Israel. There was only a brief mention that the attacks were a response from Israel in regards to rocket attacks from Hamas.

You need to dig deeper than that. You need to mention that Hamas has launched well over 1,000 rocket attacks at Israel in this past year. You need to mention that Hamas military targets are located in residential areas. You need to mention that Israel goes out of it's way to avoid civilian casualties. You need to mention that Hamas launches it's rockets indiscriminately at Israel and are just as happy to bomb a school as they are to bomb an Israeli military compound.

To aid you in this quest I have provided this link, http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/024090.php#comments, it is quite long but I hope that you will read it and the many comments that follow it. One of the comments highlights how careful the Israeli's are in hitting military targets.

The comment I quoted was Hugh's about the Arab reporter witnessing an Israeli rocket attack on a Hamas target just 20 meters from his balcony.

"in one conversation I proffered that I always dreamed of going to Germany as a child. Oops! Glad I didn't continue, I dreamed of going in a Lancaster."
-- from a very funny poster above, who further wishes that Israel's "aim were true"

I think you've got your wish -- not about visiting the sky over Germany in a Lancaster, circa 1944, but about Israel's aim being true.

Here's a summary, by Nidra Poller, translated and abridged from the French version at www.menapress.com:

"A Metulla News Agency (www.menapress.com for those who read French) release reports that 50 targets were hit simultaneously in the first wave of bombing, scoring 97% of direct hits in the space of 3 minutes. 50 additional targets were hit in the second wave. Most of the command posts, military bases, arms factories, and arsenals were damaged or destroyed. Tunnel personnel came scurrying out of their underground enterprises near the Egyptian border as the bombings shook the earth. Noting that Hamas spokesman Fawzi Baroum gave shooting orders—over the radio-- to rocket launchers near the Israeli border, the Metulla reporter supposes that the military communications network was destroyed. An airstrike against a building where Hamas military and political personnel had just gathered for an emergency meeting indicates, according to the same source, information gathered from human intelligence on the ground. The Metulla News Agency release concludes that Hamas, caught by surprise by “the timing, the scope, and the precision of the attack,” is desperately searching for some civilian victims to display as proof of an Israeli massacre."

The so called palestinians, as Darcy noted are nothing but trans-jordanians. They elected hamas and now they are living with the results. I hope Israel keeps up until gazastan is nothing but a parking lot, and Israel tagets every hamas/islamofacist leader and murderer they can find, anywhere in the world. Of course international opinion is against Israel, and not one mention of the reign of terror from the islamofacist missles that have been shot at Israel, nonstop even during the so called cease fire. Israel has been under attack since 1948. The arab claims to land are lies and stupidity. Sadly, the international community has been brainwashed by the one sided reporting of the mainstream media and that Israel is bad and does not care about civillian causilties. Duh, Israel has been overly pateint trying to work with these lying murderers. To the point of compromising Israel's security and survival. Who is it that hides missle launchers in school yards, residential neighborhoods, close to hospitals etc.
It is not Israel! Only the Jew hating hamas stoops as low as that.

Bush's comment was sad but not unexpeceted. We can and will experience worse when BHO rides into Washington. Screw what the inernational community thinks, screw the UN and let Israel use every weapon and measure they need, to wipe out this cancer that is born and bred of islam. A cult that only stands for death and bloodshed to all who oppose it.

In a cricket match the score would read Israel 300-1. 300 Palestinian terrorists killed for the loss of 1 Israeli innocent. Way to go Israel, teach these Muz a lesson. I think the mere thought of producing a bomb now is going to make Hamas crap their pants. Nice going Israel. India stands with you.

God Bless Israel.

Jai Hind.

Will the 'Palistinians' be raiding their mortuaries to wheel out those long-dead bodies for their 'photo shoot', as they did so spectacularly in Iraq?

Sorry for 'typo'
'Palestinians'

Below is a article i read at www.faithfreedom.org the title is Hit hard, hit fast, hit often.
That is exactly what Israel, the West, India, Russia, Thailand and all those other countries that have to face islamic jihad must do.

By Cherson

Islam is this, Islam is that…? ANY monotheist religion is peaceful until it is weak. But as soon as it becomes strong it stops being peaceful. Christianity is peaceful? And millions of murdered Indians in South America? And millions of murdered by “good Christians” Jews? Or you are going to tell me that those who did this “did not interpret Christianity right”? Judaism is “peaceful”? Read the Old Testament; if it’s less violent than the Quran - then only by a bit.

Islam was spread by the Sword… Absolutely right! And Christianity was spread-how? By spreading to the non-Christians chocolates and flowers? Ask Estonians, Lithuanians, Letts how the German knights “brought the Light of Christianity” to their lands – and after that we shall talk about how Christianity was spread.

Muslims do not permit the build building of churches and synagogues… And what, the Christians some 300 years ago permitted the building of mosques in Christian towns?

Muslims treat women as inferior beings… And what, Christian men some 300 years ago treated their women as equals? When did the European and American women receive the right to vote?

Islam is cruel to adultery…What was the punishment for adultery in England or America just some 200 years ago? Public flogging and the badge with the letter “H” (harlot), which the woman had to wear on her dress all her life.

Islam obliges women to wear a headscarf… And Christianity some 300 years ago - too. And in Russian villages just some 100 years ago a woman would not go out of her house without covering her head – if she did not want to hear some quite unpleasant comments about her morals done by her neighbours. And the religious Jewish women also always cover their heads; they wear not headscarves but hats until now.

Muslims punish gays with death… And how were they punished in Christian countries some 300 years ago? In 1540-1700, the Saint Inquisition in Aragon, Spain sentenced 58 men to death. Only 58 men in almost 300 years! (the fuss about the “unbelievable cruelty” of the Inquisition is the invention of the liberals). But of these 58 men, 23 were executed for being gays.

We readily blame Islam for “copy/paste” Christianity and Judaism, and it’s absolutely true; sometimes it’s rather difficult to say, where the Judaism/Christianity ends-and where Islam begins. But if Islam took so much of Christianity and Judaism, then quite a lot of cruelty, intolerance and violence which we find in Islam were present at that time in Christianity and Judaism, too. Yes, it’s only the first part of Bible, The Old Testament, which is violent, and the New Testament is very tolerant and peaceful… True. But the Quran, as you remember, is also composed of two very different parts; the Suras of Mecca and the Suras of Medina. Someone will argue that the Suras of the Meccanian period can easily argue in tolerance and peacefulness with the New Testament?

Let’s stop being hypocrites; until Muslims started the terrorist attacks, we in the West did not care a damn if they killed their women for adultery or not, if they violated their rights or not, if they hang their thieves, criminals or gays in the main squares – or not. And after 9/11 the West, all of a sudden, came to the conclusion that Islam treats women bad, that it is a totalitarian and very aggressive religion, that it’s intolerant to free thought… As if ANY religion, when it becomes dominant, does not become totalitarian and aggressive and intolerant to free thought!

What if Muslims, all of sudden, stop the terrorist attacks? In two months the public, again, would not give a damn about if Muslims “over there”, in their Islamic countries, kill women for Zina or not. And tell me, why should I care about how many times a day some Abdullah from Saudi Arabia “prostrates” raising his ass to the sky and hitting the ground with his head? As far as I am concerned, he can do this 10 or 20 times a day, or even stay in this position 24 hours, if he likes: the more the better, at least he will not have time to try to commit the terrorist attack. Of course, there will be some rights protection groups who will try to attract the attention of the public to the fact that in Tehran a gay was executed. But let’s be honest; 90% of the reading public in the West would absent-mindedly glide over this news, murmur something like “what an horror” or “barbarians” – and pass to the sport section.

We started to notice the violence and intolerance of Islam only when this violence and intolerance started to touch our precious skins. Some 60 or 100 years ago, when it would not occur to any Westerner that he could become a game, a target for attack by Muslims in his own country, did not care about Islam, Muslims and their interpretation of the words of their prophet, and would have some difficulty in just remembering this Prophet’s name.

And what, some 60-100 years ago Muslims disliked and hated us less?
No.

But then there were no terrorist attacks on us.
Why?
“Let Them Hate, So Long as They Fear' – Caligula.
The Ancient Romans were famous for the exactness of their wordings.

Ancient Rome existed for thousands of years. It’s the unbeatable record in history. It reached the incredible, for those times, level of life for its citizens to the point that scientists, poets, musicians etc. immigrated to Rome because it was the best place to live and to create. A powerful economy, a mighty Army, the prosperous citizens, social aid, free meals and wine for the poor, medicine, literature…
Golden Age.

And then the unwashed, dirty, aggressive, intolerant and illiterate barbarians came – and destroyed it all.

And so it always was; mighty army, powerful economy, prosperity, poetry, arts, literature…And then the barbarians come and destroy…

But the barbarians always come AND DESTROY only at some certain moment in the history of the great Empire, be it Egypt, Assyria, Babylon or Rome. And until that moment they also came, but COULD NOT DESTROY, and the Romans used the dozens of thousands of the corpses of the Teutons and other barbarians as the manure for their vine-yards.

Why did Rome fall? Because of the attacks of the barbarians? No. Rome for centuries defeated, assimilated and subdued much stronger enemies than the wild hordes of badly armed Germans. Rome fell when the Romans melted the Golden Statue of the Military Virtue in order to pay the ransom to these barbarians. Rome fell when it gave the right of Roman citizenship to the barbarians in exchange for the defence of Rome against other barbarians. Rome fell when the Roman women started to search for sex and pleasure but did not want to have children. Rome fell when Romans stopped being ready to serve in the Army and to die for Rome, but wanted only “to milk” it. Rome fell when the Romans, on their own will, started to substitute their Gods with the Gods of other peoples.

Does it not resemble something from our days?

And the Germans who went to Rome, ready for desperate fights and death, were puzzled; these weak, effeminate cowards are the legendary Romans??? They are not even worthy of being struck with a sword, they deserve only a kick in the ass.

Guys, the world is never ruled by material wealth and cultural riches. The world is ruled by the Faith and Resoluteness, by the Cruelty to enemies and the Readiness to defend friends at any costs, by the Defiance to death and danger and by Ambition. And what is the most important: BY THE STRICT MORALS AND READINESS TO SUFFER FOR THE VICTORY - and the material wealth and cultural riches come later.

For thousands years this was what the white people, the Europeans, were famous for.
And today – it’s not so.

Yes, some 250 years ago our forefathers publicly flogged and sent to Australia the women guilty of adultery – because A Woman is the cornerstone of the Family, and the Family is the cornerstone of the Society, and a harlot can not be The Pillar of the family, and the society where adultery is not considered a sin and where there is not a clear-cut line between a decent Woman and a harlot is doomed. The Right of an Individual for what we call today the freedom of sexual choice (and what was considered by our forefathers as the common promiscuity and harlotry) endangered the Interests of the Society -and the choice was without hesitation done in favour of the interests of Society.

Yes, some 150 years ago our forefathers would only shrug over all these liberal screams that the society can not kill even the most hardened murderers, bandits and rapists –and shoot the scoundrels without any remorse; Life is Sacred, but if YOU break this principle and kill someone, you can not expect that Society will consider YOUR life more sacred than the life of the man you killed.

Yes, some 200 and even 100 years ago our forefathers would reduce to ashes all these ridiculous Al Qayeda, Hezbollah, Hamas and other small groups of bandits who today dare throw a challenge to the most powerful country of the world and threaten its President – together with all their supporters, followers and simply those who happen to be close to its training camps and bases.

What was the reaction of Vice Admiral William Frederick Halsey upon learning of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour? "Before we're through with 'em, the Japanese language will only be spoken in hell”. And it did not occur to anybody to accuse him of the calls to genocide and of the violation of the human rights of the Japanese people.

And it was such people who discovered and colonized America and made it what it is today. It was them who defeated Nazism. It was them who raised the European civilization to its heights. They are THE EUROPEANS.

And those who live in Europe today on their own will, without any pressure, substitute their religion and their entire civilization with the more primitive one and hide their cowardice and lack of the will to fight behind the nice phrases about “violence can not be fought by violence” and “if we act like them, we shall cease to be civilized European people, and this is exactly what they want”.

Oh, no! What they want is not that we “act like them”; for them, it would be a nightmare. On the contrary, what they want is that WE DO NOT BECOME LIKE THEM, THAT WE GO ON THINKING AS WE ARE THINKING NOW AND THAT WE GO ON LETTING THEM KILL US.

Come on, guys, let’s be serious! Do you really want me to believe that we are “fighting the Islamic terrorism”, when the most powerful Secret Services of the world confusedly lower their eyes and, in fake despair, shamelessly lie to us how they, in spite of the tremendous efforts, simply can not discover the hiding places of the leaders of the Islamic terrorist groups, although these leaders quite calmly and not even bothering too much about the fact that their location can be “pinned” give the interview to the Western and non-Western journalists, often without even leaving the territory of their hidden bases and training camps? Do you really want me to believe that the Western countries, with their immense economic and military might, can not beat the hell out of some miserable terrorist groups, even if they are supported by some Arab countries that economically, as well as militarily, are total and hopeless failures? It’s possible only if we put the lives of our enemies at higher value than the lives of our own people! But it is unnatural, it’s madness, it may actually be a mental disorder!! What is, then, the liberalism, which assures us that by thinking as we are thinking now we become “the civilized people”? Is it a political doctrine? I should say it looks more like a diagnosis.

T´s known since the Times Immemorial: the battle is lost first in the heads and souls - and only after that it is lost at the battle fields.

If we go on thinking that “human life is sacred”, that “violence can not be defeated by more violence”, that “human rights have the priority” over anything, and similar neo-liberal nonsense: we shall be attacked again and again, because, yes , Muslims today are dumb, illiterate, poor, stubborn, but they also are cruel, brave, ambitious and resolute. And they have a clear and simple goal: destroy the rival civilization and substitute it with theirs. If one of the rivals is strong but does not dare, out of some “humanitarian principles which we shall not waive”, to use his strength and crush the enemy, and another rival is weak but resolute – the conflict can last for decades.

Look at Israel.

One more quote of Vice Admiral William Frederick Halsey: "Hit hard, hit fast, hit often”. If the West follows this advice, there will be no Islamic terrorism.

Never!

Um, Rammer, thanks for the article, but next time just post the link. Don't worry, it will be read by JW'ers.

I have to say one thing about it though. It is NOT mentioned that the West HAS evolved and continues to do so. The sad thing is that in our "evolvement" we often want to extend our hands and raise up the ignorant. We become dhimmified by our own tender mercies. In this case, however, the ignorant bite back and hard. Drawing blood and death, that is the call to jihad...

STAND TALL ISRAEL!!!NEVER GO BACK!!!NEVER FORGET!!!

If people were firing rockets at my house, I'd kill them.

Hamas must be destroyed.

Phoenix got burned pretty good here...wonder if it'll rise from the ashes with some more BS. I mean, even Abbas knows where the blame lies.

Islam is a lie and truth is killing it.

Phoenix-Just a hit and run troll... Just like Hamas and Hezbollah... Facist-islamos... Cowards...
