A growing chorus of intelligence officials in the U.S. and in south Asia have pinned the Mumbai attacks on the Kashmir-based militants Lashkar-e-Taiba. But there's been hardly any mention of the extremist group's deep ties to American-based jihadists.Since 2003, at least five U.S. citizens have been convicted in federal court of conspiring to provide material support to Lashkar-e-Taiba. At least nine more men, considered to be in the same larger circle, have been convicted of firearms violations and other felonies. (A partial list is here.) Several other cases are still making their way through the legal process.
Islamic extremists in America have used Lashkar-e-Taiba ("LeT") as a "stepping stone" into the broader world of global terror, says Evan Kohlmann, a senior investigator at the NEFA Foundation. With easy-to-access training facilities, English-speaking recruiters, and connections to militants around the world, a Lashkar camp is "the best way for emerging jihadist to get trained."...

More Muslim immigration into the west and more of this is going to happen. Hey Islam has a free ride like no other religion. Mohammedans are having a field day and more blood sacrifice to their lunatic god allah. The few that speak for the many while the many silently approve what the few do. That is all they need for the appeasers to say that Islam is peaceful and the onerous does not fall on the Mohammedans but the non Muslims. After all non Muslims are guilty for being non Muslims simple as that.

Any Australians reading here should do the same; because then you'll notice that the article mentions that the Australian convert to Islam, David Hicks, now strolling around on the loose in Adelaide I believe, is another 'graduate' of Lashkar e Toiba.

One of the people who was moved up was Australian David Hicks.
"The group trained him, and then provided him "with a letter of introduction to Al Qaeda in 2000," the L.A. Times notes. Hicks went on to fight for the Taliban regime. "He was released from the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, last year after pleading guilty to providing material support for terrorism." END QUOTE.
Something else to note: if one reads the entire article, one realizes that quite a few of those jihadists - American, Australian - were converts. Names like Randall Todd Royer, Seifullah {i.e. 'Sword of Allah'} Chapman, and Yong Ki Kwon {a Korean convert to Islam?}, and of course, Australia's very own slinking, sneaking 'poor little me' jihadist, David Hicks, don't exactly have that Middle East-North AFrica-South Asian flavour.
And the line about how two such trainees were sent back to the US 'to gather information and spread propaganda' makes me wonder what Mr Muslim Hicks might be getting up to, nowadays. I hope ASIO is monitoring all his communications and social contacts very, very closely.

In the last 5 years or so I have noticed an increasing influx of Muslims in my county. No actual Muslim dominated areas yet, but I'm sure that is on the adgenda in short order. I suppose it is just a matter of time before a terror cell is uncovered some place near me. Considering getting one of these, because you just never know when one of these Muslims is going to come down with sudden jihad syndrome.

How about this. Our country is under an Islamic invasion. As Islamic Jihad terror cells become more prevalent in communities around our country it will be important that everyday civilians are able to protect themselves against Islamic Jihad attacks on our persons, or property. I apply for this permit, so that if my fellow countrymen, or my family are under assault from homegrown Islamic Jiahdists at least one of us will not be a sitting duck, and can return fire.
I don't think it will work, they will think I'm crazy, so I'll need a better reason.

I know that's a complicated question so take your time...
I think allowing every law abiding non-Muslim American easy access to CCW licenses would save billions. Anyways I've got this "Build 'a' Bear" idea that may work out the whole "reason" clause.
