Over at Gates of Vienna they're taking up a collection for the European essayist Fjordman, whose writings have often graced Jihad Watch.
Fjordman, despite being unjustly maligned, has written an extraordinary number of essays illuminating little-known and important aspects of the history and culture of Europe (showing that Europe is worth preserving and defending from the Islamic supremacist onslaught), as well as the continent's current and largely self-induced plight.
Please do what you can to send him a Christmas gift.

I would love to read some of Fjordman but in all honesty £27 for a paperback is very hefty. Fjordman should think more about basic economics and more importantly recession and realise that the cheaper the book, the more are bought.

This seems to describe a situation I don’t understand. The book is listed at $47.17 US. I don’t understand why Fjordman isn’t able to influence the publisher toward a more reasonable price for the book. I also don’t understand why GoV states he will receive nothing for his work. Nothing?

The entire Fjordman book can be read, in parts, via Gates of Vienna, for free.
Which means you will then have the extra money to send to him directly to thank him for the effort and intelligence.
Why isn't he getting paid for his book? That's outrageous. And notice that it isn't on Amazon. You can only buy it on Lulu.

I enjoy Fjordman's essays . I used to live in Stockholm for many years in the '90's and I know exactly where he's coming from .

What is the purpose of the fund drive for Fjordman ? Is he sick ? Is he disabled ? The prevalence of $$$ scams in the USA makes me dubious to give to causes about which I know very little. I'd be glad to contribute if I knew more.
