UK airport security deemed "total failure"

Twins separated at birth?

A 26 year-old man traveling to Pakistan using his sister's passport "passed three security checks unchallenged before boarding a flight to Islamabad." Just one of the reasons why the UK may well be al-Qaeda's next major target.

"Man flies to Pakistan using sister’s passport," from the Daily Times, December 30:

LONDON: The British authorities are investigating how a United Kingdom (UK) citizen flew to Pakistan using his sister’s passport before he was discovered by Pakistani officials and sent back.

According to a report in The Times, 26-year-old Kasim Raja from Moseley, Birmingham, travelled to Pakistan unknowingly on his younger sister’s passport.

Following the incident, security at Britain’s Birmingham airport was criticised as ‘a total failure’.

Raja passed three security checks unchallenged before boarding a flight to Islamabad. It was only on arrival that passport control staff noticed the error and he was sent back to the UK.

What, they couldn't keep him there?

England is so finished.

May be the security staff thought it was transgendered thing and did not want to appear that they are not fully PC.

At least all of Robert Spencer's multiple personae can pass through customs at Heathrow while travelling under a single passport.

I lived in UK in the late 80s early 90s. As a foreignor, I never even had to show the departure officials my passport. Only returning did I have to show them my passport. Even local Brits only waved a closed EU/UK passport in front of the officials.

I would assume that since 1993, the last time I left UK, they would have tightened their controls, but maybe not? If correct that would be astonishing.

John C: That was a weird remark what are you talking about?

paying attention,

That, my friend, is an inside joke. On its website CAIR bought into the absurd allegation of "Reverend" Jim Sutter (the Nutter) that Robert Spencer and Hugh Fitzgerald were the same individual. A stream of derision and silly jokes--not to mention a number of alleged sock-puppets--followed.

Even Ibrahim Hooper was taken-in by Sutter's nonsense. But, then again, Robert Spencer has stated, "And I'm Ibrahim Hooper."

[See "Reverend" Jim Sutter link on this site's sidebar.]

The PC folk will be partly to blame for the next big jihad disaster, at least to the extent that their rigid ideological blinders have sometimes hindered sensible security measures.

John C: Ok thanks for enlightening me

The British must have been happy to get him back.

"According to a report in The Times, 26-year-old Kasim Raja from Moseley, Birmingham, travelled to Pakistan unknowingly on his younger sister’s passport."

Almost like saying you mistook your sister's purse for your wallet.

Well considering that Birminghamistan is probably one of the most densely populated Muslim cities in the UK it doesn't surprise me.
In CH4's Dispatches - Undercover Mosques, Birmingham's Green Lane Mosque was the centre of Islamist activity and preaching against the Infidel and the usual Jew hate, Homosexual death sentencing, etc etc. And it's also Lord Ahmed's(One of Britain's Muslim peers who sits in the House of Lords) favourite Mosque in the UK!
Birmingham is so Islamised, it wouldn't surprise me if Osama Bin Laden preached there and lived quite happily, on benefits of course!
They don't need security or passport checks as that's where most of the terrorists(Muslim) are coming into the UK from Pakistan and other terrorist states. It also wouldn't surprise me either if Saudi Arabia asks Britain if it can land its fighter planes/bombers there so as to help the Taliban in their fight against the Great and Little Satans.
Birmingham is a sh*thole and doesn't need security.

(My jokes are either lame or weird.)

OT...
Whatever happened to the Rev Jim anyway. He's been very quiet lately. Of course I don't follow his exploits, so maybe I'm missing something...

"What the hell? Did I grab my sister's explosives too? Allah preserve me, it's been a hell of a week!"

*sigh* England's screwed.

I'm surprised he wasn't wearing his sister's hijab as well - or perhaps it was her burqa.

There is no way that he did it 'unknowingly'. I just don't swallow that one for a moment. I'd say he was 'testing, testing...'.

Furthermore, the article says, "Raja passed three security checks unchallenged before boarding a flight to Islamabad."

I hope someone is finding out WHO was at those three checkpoints on that particular shift.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to discover that the persons at those three checkpoints were...Muslim, and either checked, and let him pass despite noticing the mismatch (why would they cause trouble for a fellow Muslim?), or...considering what payingattention said above...didn't actually bother to check at all, just waved him on through.

The other possibility is that if the checkers on the job were non-Muslims, they were either simply lazy and/or careless (again, see what payingattention just said), or...too dhimmified to dare to inconvenience a Muslim in any way, either by asking to see his passport, or - supposing they did go so far as to check it and noticed something funny - by 'calling' him on the irregularity.

(My jokes are either lame or weird.)

Hey, mine too, you cute little leprechaun you. See, told you so! :-)

To my six-year-old daughter, my other persona is that of a fierce, hideous, repulsive ogre, with an appetite for li'l yummy t'ings like six-year-olds, a liking for gloom and solitude, a chronically bad disposition, and dim-wittedness (easily bested by sassy six-year olds).

Thanks to the British thought police every agency of the state is terrified of minorities in general but muslims in particular.

I have seen 2 muslim men of about 18-19 ask for childrens train tickets and get them and had the police insist muslims could not possibly have attacked a house despite two witnesses saying the had. Nobody is going to put their job on the line if there is any chance of being accused of "racism". I have read that in law, if a member of a minority says they are offended that is all that is required - you are guilty.

Yes, a lot of airport security staff are muslim, but in some airports I would guess a major part of the traffic is to Pakistan anyway.

A knuckle dragging punum! A pure-unadulterated- knuckle-dragging-shining-example-of-a-bigot at his best.
Title awarded by Abdulla Mikail true son of prophet mohammed in December 2008. Punum - Hebrew word 5 contexts, one is "pretty or cute little dog". I guess that is the one he meant.

Actually boys we are not Fuc*in screwed.
Our government and regulating authorities are suffering from a nasty little export from the USA called "political correctness". The people manning the checkpoint were probably paks themselves (they have to employ a certain number of them under "diversity regulations" I am afraid)
You boys invented that one, we did not.
I seem to remember the last troublesome export from the USA. That was called Noraid, financial support for Irish terrorists who used this money to set off bombs in London and elsewhere.
Real Brits don't support these bastards as well you should know, it is just our weak pathetic government who has no balls to deal with them.
But hey you look like you have just elected one of those yourself, could be you have your first undercover Muslim president!!
The lesson to be learnt for 2009?
repeat after me

Real Brits hate Muslims,
Real Brits hate Muslims,
Real Brits hate Muslims,
Real Brits hate Muslims,
Real Brits hate Muslims,
Real Brits hate Muslims,

Repeat until understood.
We will stand at your side in the fight when it comes, always have always will. I am proud of my nation and it's culture, I am also proud of my Brothers across the water, so don't slag us off we support you guys. Several dead UK servicemen every few days ought to tell you that.

unknowingly on his younger sister’s passport.
Well maybe he was in a burqa you know they all kind of look the same inside a bag.

Thanks, Defender.

Real Canucks hate islam.
Real Canucks hate islam.
Real Canucks hate islam.
Real Canucks hate islam.

You get the idea. We're all on the same side here. It's our "leaders" who are blind and stupid.

Defender of the realm,

I disagree with your post for a few reasons.
First off Political Correctness is not an export from the USA but in fact from Hungary. Have a look here. It originates from Marxist theory and more importantly from two prominent Marxist theorists:Antonio Gramsci of Italy and György Lukács of Hungary. I've already written that of all the good things America has done, it has exported the UK some vile things, most notably "sue" culture, rap/hip hop and Beverly Hills 90210 Bitch Culture. However, America is in fact more British believe it or not than the Brits, as from travelling to the UK they are far more respectful of one another than here in the UK.

You are also forgetting one main thing about our culture and society. The younger generations are growing up amongst Muslims, going to school with them, befriending them and see them no different to anyone else. They are also being indoctrinated by Left Wing Marxist ideology as well. In other words they are growing up in the UK to not be British.
The generations that are British and proud to be are either dying out or leaving the UK at a rapid rate to blend into other cultures in the Anglosphere.

We are seeing the systematic destruction of the UK and I hate to say it but really apart from all out war there is nothing we can do about it. Sure, call me pessimistic, but how can you change the minds of people who are already fixed on their beliefs that Islam is a peaceful religion? How can you change their minds when their best friends are Muslims who tell them this is just propaganda from the Islam hating West? Of course people here will say, tell them to come to JihadWatch, read the life of Muhammad, the Koran etc, however that will just be met with "yes that was in the past but Muslims are different, they are friendly, they are British like you and me etc etc etc. Little do they know of taquiya and that Islam is Islam always has been and always will be.

You are proud of your nation and your culture, because you know of your nation and your culture. Today's children are not being taught it at school. It is racist in the UK to teach Britishness and our glorious history, because as a multicultural society, we have, in the past, fought against and controlled many of our inhabitants, ancestral homes. Therefore to teach this, we are being offensive to them. So it means that we cannot teach our history as it is wrong in the new world of Multiculturalism and Political Correctness.

I suggest that you find a country that is defending itself against Islam(or won't be Islamised not for a while) and leave the UK asap. I hate to say it but there is only one solution to stopping Islamisation of the UK and that is to remove Islam from it once and for all:-

Knock down every Mosque and Halal Butcher.
Ban the wearing of Islamic dress.
Councils must stop allowing Muslim mini-marts to open up 20 to a street as well as not allow them an alcohol license.
Start deporting people from Islamist states.
Make Islam unwelcome here. Knock down Islamic Faith schools.
End all business with Saudi Arabia and Islamic states.
Remove Islamic countries' ambassadors and shut down their embassies.
Stop all Aid to Islamic countries.
Any Muslim that lives in the UK works and pays for everything. Don't allow them benefits, free medical care, council and social housing.
Ban polygamy with immediate expulsion of the UK to anyone who breaks this.
Allow Muslims one child per family ad any more deport them.

Make the UK such an unwelcoming place to Islam that it simply packs up and leaves. After all who British is moving to live in Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, Sudan, Saudi Arabia etc etc? The influx is one way traffic from Muslim countries to the UK as they leave their failed countries to the glorious west, intent on creating the same pathetic cultures that have made them leave their own ones here.

Like I said, either leave the UK for a better land for you and your family, make it impossible for Islam to live here so that they leave or simply remove them. If we do not instil draconian measures immediately then there will be war in the UK, the Street and Rivers will run red as Powell stated and the UK will be Islamised. There is no other way around this. Sorry, but if Islam grows in the West, then they will overthrow us and submit us forcefully to Islam.

Can someone explain why the "moderating message" comes up?
I've just tried to respond to Defender of the realm and yet the following message comes up every time I try to repost:

"Jihad Watch

the first time you post a comment. I'll approve your comment when

As you can see in the above post I just posted with the word "test" and it's ok.

It was a longish post but this is not the first time this has happened. Is it because of certain keywords, or are certain "a href" links banned, or is it down to length of the post?
I've written a few times to JW about this but I get no reply. Can anyone shed any light on this affair please as it was quite a good reply to Defender.

Thank you

I think he/she was deported from Pakistan for not wearing a hijab in "her" passport photo (I am so confused). It would be less obvious if the hair were covered.

Richard,

I have seen it suggested that adding multiple links to a post will lead to it being held. However I have had a post held that had only one link and I do believe there are certain keywords that will hold up a comment. In my case, I guessed at what might have been the offending verbiage, removed it, and viola - the remainder of the comment successfully posted.

And in my experience, you won't receive a reply on this subject.

Thanks Richard.
