A British man who became the first al-Qaeda suspect convicted in the UK of directing terrorism has been sentenced to life in jail.Rangzieb Ahmed, 33, was found guilty of the offence on Thursday following a trial at Manchester Crown Court.
The judge described him as an "extremely dangerous man".
Ahmed was also found guilty of being a member of terror group al-Qaeda, along with Habib Ahmed, who was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment.
Habib, 29, was given nine years for being a member of the terror group and an additional year for possessing a document for terror-related purposes. [...]
A member of the public gallery shouted, "Jannah (paradise) is yours" as Habib was led to the cells, while another said, "He is innocent"....
Good for the UK. Maybe there's hope for them yet. I also hope that loser who got ten years will be deported, which he probably will when he lies about having been tortured.

Just "a member of the public"? Not an "Asian" or "British Asian"?
For information of some areas of Rochdale where one of them lived are 98% "Asian" and "deprived". However some families ease their burden by wintering in Pakistan and Bangladesh where British social security goes a lot further.

Those who shouted from the public gallery are obviously supporters of al-Qaeda and should also be investigated. Perhaps the police should start calling at the mosque in Rochdale.

From what I've heard of Brit prisons, it aint worth it. Some of the prisoners might "help" these guys overcome their averson to homosexuality...
Maybe the UK still has a chance...
Another "life" sentence that's probably 20 years with a chance of parole at 10. And all those 10 years he'll get halal meals, Korans untouched by Infidel hands, and free reign to proselytize to his fellow inmates.
