Why does being Afghan get people asylum? Why can't Saudi Arabia take them? Morocco? Pakistan?
I can't even bring myself to take issue with torturing prisoners from nations which signed on to neiher the UDHR nor the Geneva Conventions (which means that being tortured is considered 'hopsitality' by their standards). If they are Muslim, there is nothing - nothing - that constitutes a human rights violation except for using toilet paper, not slaughtering animals in the street like it's some 3rd-world Cesspoolstan, allowing Hindus to live, Christians and Jews to not be dhimmis, women to exercise equal rights, and littl girls to not be pimped into incestuous Sharia sex slavery at 7. Poverty is the way to heaven and war is the natural state of things to these people.
We need to stop importing Muslims from anywhere. They should be getting quizzed on the Bible or the Bhagadvagita, since being persecuted as a religious minority is the only valid reason for getting asylum in the free world.

49.5% of Algerian men between 15 and 34 want to emigrate and half of them "said Britain would be their favorite final destination because, they claimed, residence permits are easiest to get there." So that is a quarter of all Algerian men between 15 & 35 are heading for Britain. Tell me how many 100,000 is that?

Just copied this from a link on the Copenhagen muslim riot thread that shows the approach to the problem in Greece. According to some reports the Greek riots were triggered by asylum seekers including muslims and taken up by the Greek left.
"The incident is likely to draw even more attention to the government’s asylum policy. Greece approved only 140 of more than 20,000 asylum applications last year, according to the UN refugee agency.
The Aliens Bureau accepts asylum applications only once a week, forcing some 4,000 migrants to queue up outside the office from Friday night to have a chance of being one of the small number that are chosen to hand in their paperwork the next day."
In Britain it is probably reversed, with 20,000 accepted for every 140 rejected.

Is this supposed to be a crackdown? What a joke! The only question they should be asking anyone is "are you a Muslim?". If the answer is "yes", that alone should disqualify them for immigration.
The British, like us, haven't learned a thing from Mumbai. The Mumbai terrorists were Pakistans, not Afghanistans. The only thing they have in common is that they're both Muslims, and both have they same seeds of destruction in their DNA.
In the current harsh economic climate why the hell are we importing anybody, never mind non-English speaking Afghans who will be a further drain on our resources? Why can't Saudi Arabia, Iran or Pakistan take them?
This Afghan family has done rather well out of us. I guess that's why others want to come here.

Somehow, my main concern would not be whether they are real Afghans--rather than, say, Pakistanis or Indians.
It would be exactly which Afghan "customs and traditions" they are bringing in--great recipes for lamb kabobs, maybe, or making colorful kilims? All well and good.
But what about some of those rather more troubling Afghan "traditions", such as "honor killings", forced child marriage, and waging violent Jihad? Somehow I doubt that they will be asking those questions, even though they are the ones that really matter.

Here's a different tack.
Don't admit any more Mohammedans to the UK - period.
Instead, fast-track Coptic Christian and Iraqi Christian refugees from near-genocidal Muslim persecution. Every stage of the application/admission process to be supervised by non-Muslims, including accredited and background-checked members of the appropriate faith community. Let it be known loud and clear that any Muslim discovered to have posed as a non-Muslim refugee, in order to gain entry, will be unceremoniously booted right back into dar al Islam, as soon as their imposture is detected.
Bona fide apostates/ defectors from the Ummah - that is, people known to have apostasised within their Islamic country of origin and known to have withstood arrest, torture, etc. in order to persist in their rejection of Islam - might also be admitted, on probation. This would cover people like Lina Joy of Malaysia, and Mohammed Hegazy of Egypt.
