But no worries: it was not an "organized attack."
A "Careful With That Axe, Eugene!" Alert: "Two hurt in Rehovot terror axe attack," by Yaakov Lappin for the Jerusalem Post, January 8 (thanks to Louis):
An axe-wielding 20-year-old Palestinian man from Jenin attacked passersby on Rehovot's main Herzl Street on Friday, lightly wounding two people.Police said the man stood in the city's main Herzl Street with the axe and shouted "Allah huakbar! (God is great)," before being arrested.
A 17-year-old youth sustained light cuts to his ear in the attack. He was treated on the spot and did not require hospital treatment.
A second person also sustained light injuries, but had left the scene before paramedics could reach him.
The suspect told police he wanted to avenge the death of his friend, who he said died in the IDF's Gaza operation.
"We do not view this as an organized attack," a Shfela Police Spokeswoman said....
A "Careful With That Axe, Eugene!" Alert:
Laugh out loud funny, Mr. Spencer! Thanks.
Just an overload on a Jewish line with a low Amp fuse.
An axe? Good God! Thankfully no one was seriously hurt and that he was arrested. Throw away the key on this one. Good riddance.
Yes, Umma(h)gumma.
Were it not for this little problem called jihad I would probably be reading a blog on music by you, Robert. There is a bootlegged outtake by Syd Barrett called Ramadan, by the way.
More axe-iomatic behaviour from the Religion of Sudden Jihad Syndrome&trade
(see what I did there?) ;)
Hey Jo, where ya going with that axe in yor hand...?
"We do not view this as an organized attack"
How do you view the last 1400 years of unorganized attacks.
Wake up Juice!
Listen, could it be that in this particular case it was shock and grief over the death of a friend and not Islam that caused this man to do what he did?
At the end of the day, what you have in Palestine is a very poor population with little to no access to proper resources, who are up against a military they cannot compete with.
I'm just commenting on the status of the Palestinians and not necessarily its causes ...
" muslim"......? No, no, no. This was simply a "disturbed", "militant", "youth",
"demonstrator", protesting the VILE actions of the DEVIL JUICE in Gaza.
The rules of the m.s.m. prohibit the use of the words "muslim", "terrorist", or "jihadist" in any news stories, particularly those recounting attacks against the Israel people, especially those of beheadings and genital mutilation. I'm surprised you didn't know that.......
No Channe. This is sudden jihad syndrom.
I think that Channe may actually be the Prophet Obama (pbuh) himself, gracing us with his glorious digital presence. He even started the post with 'Listen,' like the Prophet (pbuh) does with nearly every statement he makes.
Excusing evil is abetting evil, dude. Get a moral compass and a clue. And stop hanging around with terrorists and supremacists.
Someone took a wrong turn and wound-up on Jihad Watch. Palestinian-Sympathizer Watch is just down the street; it's a left-hand turn at the light, not a right-hand turn. You're welcome.
The press tends to downplay "lightly wounded" people. One of the victims was injured on his ear. It sounds like the perpetrator was aiming for the neck. I would call that attempted murder; I wonder what he will be charged with.
Whoops! False alarm guys! Turns out it was an IDF trick payed for by out taxpayer dollars, Mossad, and the CIA!
Comrades, we must overthrow our plutocratic, fascist system and wholeheartedly embrace our socialist brothers in palestine. Our great father Lenin would not be pleased with our "Culture of Life", because that goes against the Party, and it goes against Allah!
ALL HAIL THE RED FACTION!!!!

Since he didn't require hospital treatment and was treated on the spot, one would guess that makes it okay, according to Shfela police.
An axe-wielding Palestinian on Friday shouting 'allah hu akbar' and the audacity of a Police Spokeswoman stating it is not an organized attack. All the boxes have been ticked, it's every for themselves...
a poster wrote,"Listen, could it be that in this particular case it was shock and grief over the death of a friend and not Islam that caused this man to do what he did?"
I think that in the dualistic thought control of Mahometanism, most of the devotees of the rock to which they turn and pray to (5 times a day) are incapable of sharing any blame in the terrible things that happen to them. Since like a racist believes that all bad things are the results of other races not being their own, Mahometans think that others are what are always responsible. So I will disagree that mahometanism is not connected to these attempted random murders.
Police said the man stood in the city's main Herzl Street with the axe and shouted "Allah huakbar! (God is great)," before being arrested.
Robert, I ask you: shouldn't "Allahu Akbar" be accurately translated with "God is greater/greatest"?
And, as a consequence, shouldn't the precise translation be "Allah is greater/greatest", since obviously, if Allah is in any competition with other Deities, then Allah is not God...
Callidus, you slay me, man! Thanks for several chuckles, this week.
""Listen, could it be that in this particular case it was shock and grief over the death of a friend and not Islam that caused this man to do what he did?"
It could be.
It could also be because he can't win his inner jihad.
It could be because he's had a look at the twenty-first century, and it scares him.
It could be many things. However, to avenge the death of a friend is not an excuse for attacking strangers who have nothing at all to do with the killing of his friend.
Let me repeat that--To avenge the death of a friend is not an excuse for attacking strangers who have nothing at all to do with the killing of his friend.
If he's a real man, he'll hunt down the very man who killed his friend, and take the matter up with him. Individual revenge by proxy is a Mohammedan staple of war. And, peace, to...
"At the end of the day, what you have in Palestine is a very poor population with little to no access to proper resources, who are up against a military they cannot compete with."
Then they should be ready to call for a permanent truce, before any more of them get killed, shouldn't they?
Hmmm. Now I see why there is always (yes, always) a fear of backlash against muslims when muslims are identified as perpetrators of some heinous act. The likes of CAIR and the MSA are preaching to us about violence against muslims in the form of "backlash". I understand this now because as we can see it is because that is how *they* act.
When are we going to get sick of this behavior and ban islam (or at least call for its reform)?
How about you? Are you sick already?
