Actually the perpetrators here are the "Palestinians." Of course, Hamas wants to hit civilians, as much as it wants Palestinian civilians to be hit. Yet somehow I doubt that the international entities that have condemned Israel for the civilian casualties it has tried so hard to avoid will be any more upset about Hamas's delight in the deaths of innocent Israelis than they ever have been.

The kind of violence the IDF is doing is definitely not proportional! Hamas is trying to kill Israeli civilians while the IDF is only after Hamas terrorists. I doubt Israel would have had to invade Gaza if years ago Israel had a determined tit-for-tat response policy of sending rockets randomly into Gaza cities. Besides I would have enjoyed watching the Arab Muslims and the UN crowd jumping up & down like a bunch of irate monkeys after a forced enema. They just don't have any true sense of proportionality.
Israeli victory starts by calling for Unconditional Surrender from Hamas, and the clearing of the Gaza Strip of all followers of islam. Rewrite the charter of Hamas, and work for a peace agreement, not a ceasefire.
Let the followers of islam in Gaza go to the West Bank, to Egypt, to Jordan, until they want real peace.
When Israel reclaims and controls all of Gaza, the rocketfire will stop. It is in the interest of the people of Israel, and a duty of the leaders to defend it's own.
