When the police begin to acquiesce the demands of a violent and intimidating mob against basic personal property rights, affairs are out of hand. And that leads to anarchy, which leads to civil unrest.

If people cannot be guaranteed personal property rights because of an angry mobs whims, where are we. We're nearing the rabbit hole.

We have got to get a handle on this. If I can't rely on the authorities to protect my basic ownership rights, in accordance with the law, what good are they? That's when people begin to take the law into their own hands.

And that's when rubber begins to meet road.

This business isn't about to change any time soon. Police forces would be well served to plan in advance.

One of the worst things that an Law Enforcement can do, is to violate one's property rights, . Those couple should sue the Police Department and the officers that were involved for not just violating their privacy and property rights, but for also giving into the demands of an Angry Mob(particular if it is an Islamic Mob). That's the thing that scares me about Germany, by the way. Not the sweet, blue-eyed German guy I did a project with last semester, but the half of the native population who are still recovering from communism, intellectually-speaking. I fear that they may be too accustomed to group-think and diffusion of responsibility.

I remember reading a vignette from Douglas Coupland's 'Polaroids From the Dead' in which he goes into a record store in the former East Germany. It was years after the fall of communism but the staff of the store had not caught onto that fact. They had no interest in helping customers, stocking inventory, being polite, or in engaging in any aspects what make capitalism great for a customer. It actually reminds me of a certain bike shop in my town, except that there they hit on you while wait, but I digress.

I don't know if Germany can recover from leftist group-think, at least, not in time for them to not be overtaken by a stronger, more assertive culture that knows what it wants is willing to do anything to get it. If Turkey joins the EU, Germany's over.

On the upside, Europe needs more cops, so that should help with the unemployment problem.

Bobby, even as European authorities prevent the individual from bearing arms, there are other things that could be done against Islam. Doctors could declare it a mental disease; its practices could be forbidden on political grounds, etc. It should be an offense to follow Islam's guidelines, since its ideas obviously lead to general unrest and lack of safety in each and every country where it has gained a foothold.

I would actually argue that Islam may not be a mental illness in and of itself, but that it does necessitate being a complete narcissist. Narcissism, btw, is incurable. This is why I draw the distinction between "real Muslims" and "in-name-only Muslims." You really can see it in their eyes.

What's happening in Europe, were I Jewish, would frighten the hell out of me, especially given its past. But these things are happening now in the USA, too, no getting around that. The police here have removed peaceful counter-protesters so as not to upset the mohammedans; same with persoanl property, such as flags.

In all honesty, I think it's good for Israel to have gone after Hamas-holes in Gaza. It seems like it has stirred up a hornest's nest of outraged mohammedan emotions, aided and abetted by our loonie progressives (who seem to forget how Khomeini treated the Tudeh Party members after they helped him into power). This just may jump-start this simmering, low-intensity, asymmetrical war in which we are currently engaged, and make it hot. Then we can settle this thing. The Mohammedans in our midst policy is not working out too well for the West, and will not work out for us down the road as their numbers increase. Because, as anyone who reads just JW or DW alone knows, this thing will have to be settled. There is no room for shari'a, for dhimmitude in the West. And if such slavery were forced by our political elite upon us, it will will make the war spread in ways unimagined, a horrible civil and jihad war, both at the same time. This will get ugly, and I think will get ugly very fast after January 20th.

But if we're to get anything remotely favorable to the anti-jihad cause from all of this, such an event should be highly publicized to raise public awareness of the islamic threat, just as Hugh has recently stated that might be a positive effect of so many islamonazi demonstrations across Europe. They help truly expose islam for what it is; not those phony smiles one gets at the kebab joints or at the carpet stores when Westerners foolishly spend their hard-earned money on rip-offs while they're on pointless vacations in A-rab countries. The ordinary, law-abiding European citizen should see those placards and their messages of hatred, hear those nazis scream that they want Jews "back in the ovens"; take in the violence that they thought could only take place in the backwardness of Porkistan and the Middle East happening right around the corner from their apartments, right at the train station which is part of their daily commute to work. I've witnessed this ridiculous behavior here in Sodom, CA and I understand how it works. The Jews are respectful and compliant so we are always the ones who have to move. The Cops know full well that any attempts to do so with the screaming anti-Israel lunatics would be futile.

I went to the counter protest in San Francisco today and it was a pretty tame affair compared to this.
The SFPD actually had it together for once and had the Jews, and I mean Jews, separated and protected by double barriers across Polk Street which is pretty wide. They often plan these protests on Shabbat to keep our numbers low but we had a decent but sadly subdued crowd.

The SF Chronicle (Comical) featured a lopsided story on how Israel is "Losing the PR war". So I think it brought a few more Jews out.

I am amazed that there did not seem to be one Gentile there. There really are no real christian churches in the city.
They are way out there liberal emergants with lesbian pastors etc.
So of course they have thrown the bible in the trash and are unconcerned with what the Living God of Israel has to say on the subject. They march with fascists who would kill every Jew and Christian on earth instead.

This is terrible. I wish it were an exception, but such events are becoming more and more common. In each case, violence and thuggish behavior are rewarded by the authorities.

With the same conditions to apply to any and all streets that they might want to march down: if any Jews lived on the street, then either no demonstration or at least no flags and no "kill the Jews" signs.

It's high time for Europe to WAKE UP ! What do swastikas mean today anyway? I think the parallels between today and the 30's is VERY pertinent. Had the civilized world met the nazis with some considerable force early on, millions of death and catastrophe would have been averted.

First, I am a Christian, and stand by the State of Israel and it's citizens. It is unfathomable to have any police to break in (yes, to break the law themselves) just to quell violence that is causing a disturbance in the first place. Their efforts should not be made against the people who are showing solidarity with the one's who are being attacked (Israel), and are doing it in a peaceful way. The policing efforts should be against those throwing bottles, rocks, knives and the like. Having German police siding with the violent, law breaking crowd of pro-Hamas supporters (which is a Terrorist group), it is showing that it has not moved that far from where it was prior to the start of WWII and their support for having the Jewish people eliminated from the face of the earth by the Third Reich. We must not forget that the Palestinians supported Germany and the destruction of the Jews. This cannot be tolerated, and the police should have charges brought up on them for breaking into the apartment, and it should be done by the mayor or the Chief of Police....If that is not done, then Germany again shows itself to be sympathetic to the Palistinians only, and in doing that shows contempt for the Jewish state of Israel. If any police officer here in Columbus, Ohio did anything like that, they would be brought up on charges immediately. Well, the German police were being practical. I find what the Israelis are doing in Gaza very reprehensible, but I am not a big fan of riots. Much better, especially in Germany, to write letters and donate money to relief groups, and pray, if one is so inclined.

Israel's current military policies are distinct from the Israeli people, to my mind, and certainly distinct from their dominant faith.

The viciously antisemitic and hateful postings by assorted 'pro-Palestinian' Hamas terror and jihad supporters, in the thread above, despite the 'western' style names which I do not believe for one second to be their actual names, but rather, adopted for camouflage purposes, appear to me to be the work of jihad-minded Muslims.

Their highly intemperate language - a spew of screaming rage, descending at times into total incoherence, heaping lies upon lie, half-truths mixed in with total fictions, and topping it off with insults - bears out in spades the wise words of Dr A Carlebach, writing in the Ma'ariv journal on 7 October 1955, and oft-posted here on other suitable occasions.

Those are good ideas that mention before, such as Doctors declaring Islam an Mental Illness, and an illegal offense to follow Islamic Guide Lines. However, if the government, the authorities and even to an certain extent some of the people of that country(That are too afraid to confront them, in fear of being called an racist/Islamophobia, being verbally or even physically attack by these Islamic Savages and hence are afraid to use what you had to suggested), does none of those things that you suggested early(even though I do apology for not answering your post/comment earlier)

Hence we have to defend ourselves from such Islamic attacks/riots/incursions, if its verbal-debate them and they will show their true colors, and if its physical-defend yourself or defend the people that you care about or your fellow countryman(Hence, the right to Bear Arms and tells the Islamics to backoff or face the consequences), because if the authorities does nothing to protect our freedoms, our rights as human being, and our rights to our properties, then who will? After reading all of the comments, and after really tinking about it, I still agree with the dicision of the Police to remove the flag. What could have happened if there were not enough Police in the area to protect the owners of the flag? The action of the Police might have saved some life. Don't blame the Police. I still believe in suing the pants off the cops for removing and for breaking an entering and barging in without a warrant. They are wrong and they would lose in court. If the cops must rape our freedoms to corral Muslims then Islam can't be tolerated. This proved it. I hope Sebastian sues them and I know that he will win when he does because they simply had no right to do that, just like the Egyptian cop had no right to tell DS to stop filming, just like they can't tell counter-protesters to disperse or put down their flags.
