The leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, which is dedicated in America to "a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God's religion is made victorious over all other religions," (that's from "An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Brotherhood in North America," by Mohamed Akram, May 19, 1991), issues a call to Muslims worldwide to wage jihad -- warfare, not inner spiritual struggle -- for Gaza.

In his weekly sermon, Muslim Brotherhood General Guide Muhammad Mahdi 'Akef called to launch jihad for the Palestinians in Gaza in any way possible: military warfare, popular resistance groups, donations of blood and money, and comprehensive boycott.He said that this fateful moment of the battle against Zionism is the time for jihad to its maximum degree, and that this is incumbent upon everyone....
This is in line with the Islamic doctrine that jihad becomes obligatory upon all Muslims whenever a Muslim land is attacked. (Provocations by Muslims from that Muslim land don't factor into this equation -- if the non-Muslim enemy strikes back, that constitutes an invasion of Muslim land.) All the schools of Islamic jurisprudence agree that when a non-Muslim force enters a Muslim land, jihad becomes the individual obligation of every Muslim (fard 'ayn) rather than a collective obligation of the entire umma, from which one is released if others are taking it up (fard kifaya). Bulghah al-Salik li-Aqrab al-Masalik fi madhhab al-Imam Malik ("The Sufficiency of the Traveller on the Best Path in the School of Imam Malik,") says this:
Jihad in the Path of Allah, to raise the word of Allah, is fard kifayah [obligatory on the community] once a year, so that if some perform it, the obligation falls from the rest. It becomes fard `ayn [obligatory on every Muslim individually], like salah and fasting, if the legitimate Muslim Imam declares it so, or if there is an attack by the enemy on an area of people.
The Hanafi, Maliki, and Shafi'i schools of Sunni jurisprudence further declare that jihad, once it is fard 'ayn, is no different from prayer and fasting -- in other words, to engage in warfare with non-Muslims in that case is a religious devotion that cannot lawfully be evaded. Hashiyah Ibn `Abidin, an authoritative text of the Hanafi school, says that jihad is "fard 'ayn if the enemy has attacked part of the Islamic homeland. It thus becomes an obligation like salah [prayer] and fasting which cannot be abandoned."
Any other place like Gaza would not exist.
An area which is economically not performing would be abandoned by the inhabitants while they looked for work and moved elsewhere to support themselves. Gazans don't because the West, who they hate, supports them. No need to look elsewhere for work.
An area which is unable to provide the basic needs of it's people would be abandoned because they would move somewhere that could provide. Instead, everything they need is pumped in. They don't grow their food, they don't manufacture goods, they don't have trading partners of any kind. 80 percent unemployed. Totally unsustainable.
Any other area like this would be absorbed by a neighboring country of larger size. Gaza isn't because it serves a purpose. To keep open a festering wound.
That is all.

Who controls what piece of land is a political question, not a religious one. The fact that Islam has such doctrines as "fard ayn" in this regard underscores the fact that Islam does not separate church and state.
Because it cannot separate church (mosque) and state, Islam is not a religion. Therefore, it should be treated by our laws and regulations at every level of government, not as a religion, but as the fascist political cult that it is.
The "citizens of Islam" can never be citizens of any country--by their own vile doctrines. We should respect their beliefs--and throw them out, with a kick in the groin and a pie in the face.

Israel has almost no choice here, the rockets are getting longer and more dangerous, they are trying to reach places like Dimona which has a nuclear plant but it puts Beersheba at great risk since it is closer to Gaza as well as Dimona. Beersheba is 7th largest city in Israel with a population of nearly 190,000. Beersheba has had very few problems with terrorism until August of 2004 when Hamas targeted two buses killing 16. Since 2005 Hamas rockets have reached Beersheba several times from the Gaza Strip. But of concern is that Dimona which has population of nearly 35,000 is only another 16 miles farther.
The same 'Akef who said "the Muslim Brotherhood is a global movement whose members cooperate with each other throughout the world, based on the same religious worldview--the spread of Islam, until it rules the world." He added "all the members of the Muslim Brotherhood in the international arena operate according to the written charter that states Jihad is the only way to achieve these goals" and "ours is the largest organization in the world." Despite it's "concealment" strategy so detailed in The Project (1982) to avoid direct confrontations (temporarily) and simply spread "Islamic culture" with (Saudi funded) groups, fronts, mosques, charities, schools; the MB has direct offshoots engaged in terrorism, from Hamas to Lashkar-e-Taiba to Jamaat-e-Islami.
Joe Kaufman reported a Jamaat charity in Karachi called Al-Khidmat (AKF) sent 6 million rupees ($99,000) to the head of Hamas in 2006. The AKF website listed the top donors: ICNA Relief USA and ICNA Relief Canada. That's the Islamic Circle of North America, a branch of the MB founded in 1971 by the MB's Muslim Students Association, a counterpart to the MB of Pakistan, Jamaat-e-Islami (the ICNA website was registered to farrukh.net, a mirror site of JI media).
Providing material support to Hamas is illegal.
There are many similar examples that could and should lead to a "terrorist organization" designation for the MB and the dismantling of its operations here. In addition to the Patriot Act definition "committed, incited, planned, prepared, gathered information or provided material support for terrorist activities" the REAL ID Act of 2005, immigration law, expands the definition "any group that solicits funds or memberships for either terrorist organizations or activities, or otherwise provide them material support, including SUBGROUPS engaged in terrorist activities (or even a single member).
Where there's a will there's a way. There just has not been a will.
Some conflicts are deep ones, pitting survival against an incorrigible evil. Those conflicts cannot be resolved until one side wins and one side loses. The U.S. strategic interests in the Middle East will suffer as long as there is doubt about whether Israel is here to stay. That means fighting hard until the will of those who are beyond accepting Israel's existence is broken and their capacity to project meaningful power is destroyed.

As long as there are Muslims who hew to the central tenets of Islam there will be Muslims who are beyond accepting Israel’s existence. And just how much power must be projected to be meaningful if an enemy is willing to kill himself to kill us, while exploiting our own infrastructure? Unless we as a people find the will to deal with Muslims who hew to the central tenets of Islam as the enemy then there will not only be no victory, there will be neither security nor freedom. As for fighting hard against an incorrigible evil, seven years after 9/11 waging war on a tactic has brought us nothing but tears. One only has to gaze upon the enemy within rallying openly and with impunity for Hamas. As for continuing the millennial struggle against the incorrigible evil that is Islam, the “victories” of Lord Obama, peace be upon him, presage oceans of tears yet to come.
Please note that our forefathers would not have tolerated Krauts or Japs in America openly rallying in support of Nazi Germany or Imperil Japan. And when confronted with the suicidal fanaticism of the Japs during WWII our forefathers had the will to project power in a decisively meaningful way. Even though there was not a dog’s chance in hell of the Japs nuking us.

The thing that astounds me the most and has for quite some time is the sheer hypocrisy of the muslim world. 500 people died in the Congo, Somalia has a starving population, Zimbabwe is going to the dogs, Darfur is being annihilated (and the list goes on), yet seriously all these protestors have nothing better to worry about than the 'humanitarian' situation in Gaza??? More to the point, the UK protestors were protesting for days on a weekday- do none of them have jobs or is the UK taxpayer inadvertently supporting them as usual?
I for one have no sympathy for women/ children/ old men/ old women etc in Gaza. They are reaping what they sowed by voting in Hamas. They need to give up their dream of getting Israel 'back' in the same way the native Americans have given up getting back the USA, the Jews gave up hope of getting back their homes etc in poland/ russia..
There was a war, they lost, grow up and move on.
I am so sick and tired of hearing people begging for relief to be delivered to the Gazans. Let them offer to deliver some relief to the people of Sderot, or Darfur.. why bother worrying about the pals?

However: just for the record, and to keep up this site's reputation for accuracy...Zimbabwe isn't a Muslim country. It has a very small number of Muslims (who I don't doubt are as irritating as such populations are everywhere else) but its problems are caused by a formerly marxist thugocracy of no particular religion, and by simple tribalism.
Most of the population are animist or subscribe to what is sometimes called 'christo-paganism', nominal christianity mixed with other beliefs.
Religious composition of Zimbabwe as of 2008:
"syncretic (part Christian, part indigenous beliefs) 50%, Christian 25%, indigenous beliefs 24%, Muslim and other 1%".
It is probably instructive to compare and contrast the behaviour of hungry and oppressed Zimbabweans, with the behaviour of Somalis. Zimbabweans appear mainly to be scratching to survive under their atrocious 'government'; whereas Somalia is a chaos of fighting Muslim factions.
The main thing the Ummah is sending into Somalia seems to be jihadists from all over plus ammo and weapons; whereas the main thing other Christians are sending to their brethren in Zimbabwe is...food and medicine (which are gratefully received, and shared).

Skevin just what point are you trying to make in linking to the Japanese-American 442nd Regimental Combat Team? They were the best America had to offer. The important point is that they choose loyalty to America to loyalty to their ancestral land. They fought so that all men could be free. Just what are the Muslims rallying to Hamas fighting for? The freedom to impose their prurient, freedom destroying creed on all Americans? Seven years after 9/11 where are the massed battalions of Muslim Americans fighting under Old Glory to bring freedom to their enslaved coreligionist? Have I missed something?
When the “Flying Imams” story broke in 2006 I posted this comment:
“When my dad’s father was 16 he joined the cavalry, the Italian cavalry. My grandfather embodied the American dream. He believed explicitly in American exceptionalism. His loyalty to America was total. Imagine for a minute if my grandfather's paisans had pulled a stunt like those six rag-head clerics after Pearl Harbor. Or if pro-fascist dagos had been caught plotting terror attacks in support of Mussolini. At a minimum the interment of Italians would have attained the same levels as the interment of Japs. Wops would probably have been decorating lampposts in ever town in the land.

My reasoning has nothing to do with anything written by Robert, Hugh, Raymond or Marisol. It has everything to do with the virulence of comments made by others.
Do an internal Google of the word “maggot”. The number of entries is impressive, and none of them derives from a statement made by the editorial staff of this site. I simply urge that those posting here keep in mind that widening the appeal of JW/DW is a better strategy than playing in a dirty sandbox.
