Yet another convert misunderstands his peaceful new religion, and yet Honest Ibe Hooper and Brave Ahmed Rehab of CAIR have still made no move, and no Muslim spokesmen or authorities have made any move, toward crafting a program to instruct converts in the true, peaceful and tolerant Islam. Now, why is that?

Düsseldorf -- A 29-year-old convert to Islam confessed in court on Monday to plotting devastating bombings against US soldiers and diplomats stationed in Germany.Mastermind Fritz Gelowicz told a panel of judges in the western city of Düsseldorf that he and three other defendants had aimed above all to kill as many US soldiers based in Germany as possible.
"That was our very clear intent," Gelowicz said.
He said the group had also targeted US consulates in Germany as "the absolute final warning" to the Berlin government before a key parliamentary vote to pull its troops out of Afghanistan.
Gelowicz, on trial since April, could face 15 years in prison for the bid to mount at least three car bombings against US military installations and American citizens in Germany. The other defendants are to testify in the coming weeks.
Defence attorneys said the men aimed to shorten what had been expected to be a mammoth trial and reduce their sentences by confessing. They have not expressed remorse....
The men are charged with belonging to a terrorist organisation -- the Islamic Jihadic Union (IJU) in Pakistan, an extremist group linked to Al-Qaeda -- and plotting to stage attacks with explosives in September 2007....

I find it ironic and absurd that someone would convert to Islam just to be more discontent!

One very remarkable comment by Adem Yilmaz (the one who in the beginning of the trial refused to stand for the judge ("I only stand for Allah"): "I recognized the Qur'an is not only a book of prayer, but also a book of law." Why did he confess? Because he wanted to "make life easier for me" (his lawyers told him so).

When asked whether he was feeling remorse monstermind Fritz Gelowicz answered that was a matter between him and Allah.
Very sensitive bloke who doesn't talk about his feelings to the judges only to his moon god.
The poor guy always suffered from pressure to perform, he couldn't meet his father's expectations and shortly before his 16th birthday he converted to Islam in oppostion to his father who is an atheist.
After 9/11 he got more interested in his religion and became a fundamentalist, probably salafist, and started avoiding women and pop music. I only hope that the judges won't buy all that crap and give him a lenient sentence.
