Two weeks ago I received a death threat from the IP address 196.201.207.17, which traces to Djibouti. It said that Steven Emerson, Andrew Cochran of the Counterterrorism Blog, and I would be "executed and brought to justice."
Then this morning these three emails came in from the same IP address -- the third one repeats the threat:
#1. Subject line, "A call to the TRUTH":
This an amazing site that I have found very poisonous and Hate-overwhelmed. Mr Spence has never noticed that what you are fighting for is nothing and what you are fighting is against the TRUTH.I once again call you to Give in to ALLAH and Be a muslim so you will be forgiven
#2. Subject line, "Spencer is a great hypocratic Jew" (actually, I'm not a physician at all!):
Basee on the information you put on the internet, it seems that there are the hallmarks of an angry jewsh who grows when he insults Islam.
#3. No subject line:
I have to inform you the Mr spencer the way you are wanting to challenge the Islam is an offending and can make us aggressive to you at anytime. I once again call you to change your attitude and behaviour with a Islam-loving attitudes that will spare a lot of energy.
Of course, I've received many death threats before. They are a sign of the brittleness and insecurity of the entire movement -- they cannot oppose me on the field of ideas, they cannot refute what I say, and so groups like CAIR try to censor me in the public square, and its more bloody-minded coreligionists issue threats.
How awful! What makes them think you would want to be a muslim.
Anyone who loves the true God would not threaten to kill someone, would they?

It seems to me that our illiterate Jihadists do not think that Robert's criticism of Islam goes far enough.
Wanting means lacking in ability.

TOMMO2 said - Mr Spencer, I am sure you are shaking in your shoes receiving threatening messages from an illiterate camel herder. Unfortunately if you raise your head above the parapet these days you are likely to be made a target.
I often wonder how secure commentators and bloggers are and whether our confidentiality can be compromised and traced as has been done in this case to an IP address. Presumably it is possible to track messages down to the actual sender then to his home.
