Jihad/martyrdom bombers who killed 95 at Iraqi government ministries had recently been freed from US custody

Obama's strange new respect comes home to roost. "Iraq Ministry Bombers Were Freed by US," from Agence France-Presse, August 31 (thanks to DFS):

The suicide bombers who killed 95 people in devastating attacks at Iraqi government ministries on August 19 were recently released from U.S. custody, a senior interior ministry official said on Sunday.

The truck bombings in Baghdad also wounded 600 people in what was the worst day of violence to hit the country for 18 months, dealing a major blow to the nation's security efforts in the wake of a major pullout of U.S. troops.

"The suicide bomber who blew himself up at the ministry of foreign affairs was released three months ago from Camp Bucca," the official told AFP on condition of anonymity, referring to the U.S. jail near Basra.

"The suicide bomber who blew himself up outside the ministry of finance was also released a few months ago from the same jail."

Since the start of this year 5,236 prisoners have been released from U.S. custody and 1,179 detainees handed over to the government of Iraq, according to figures released on Sunday.

Less than 9,000 prisoners are still in American-run prisons.

"We have no proof that a former detainee was involved in the bombings," a U.S. army spokesman told AFP.

"The government of Iraq is still investigating the attacks, and it would be inappropriate for us to speculate as to who may have been involved while the investigation is ongoing."

The interior ministry official, however, told AFP that 14 suspects had been arrested in the wake of the attacks and that the truck bombs were prepared in southern Baghdad.

"The vast majority of them were released in recent months from Camp Bucca," he said, noting that all of the suspects were from Nineveh and Salaheddin provinces.

"Each of them had a precise role. One was responsible for buying the trucks. One was in charge of making sure they could enter Baghdad. One made sure that the explosives were packed on the trucks and others were the suicide bombers."

and just who wanted these people released....The government of Iraq...

Hail the disaster known as the current president in the White House.

Look at the economic bailouts, look at the debt, look at foreign policy, look at what the ahole does and listen to his serial Alinsky lying.

If the chickens ever came home to roost, it is on the head of all you 'hope and change' suckers and bastard Dems who visited this plague of the holy leader and his czar and leftist communist America haters upon us.

Sic transit gloria.

Pass it on. Get ready to vote. And if there are any Black Panthers with clubs at the voting booths, dont allow it.

Please, release me, let me go,
And I promise,
Not to wage Jihad anymore...
To tell the truth would be a sin,
Release me and let me kill again

I have a found a new love, dear
Who believes taqiyya, it is clear
He's a fool, but he means well
Release me, and let me raise some hell.

Please release me, can't you see.
I'll respect you when I'm free
To repay with kindness would cause me pain
So release me and let me bomb again.

http://ukpoliticstoday.blogspot.com/2009/08/muslim-post-office-manager-bans-woman.html

A Muslim post office manager in Cardiff has refused to serve a British soldier’s mother — because her son serves in Afghanistan.
The shocking story, which shows precisely how far mass Third World immigration has created a fifth column of anti-British elements in this country, has emerged after the woman, Mrs Maria Davies, contacted the British National Party in Wales to ask for assistance.

“Mrs Davies’ 21-year-old son is a soldier in a Welsh regiment who recently began an eight month tour of duty in Afghanistan,"

“For many mothers with sons on active service for their country, it can be a constant worry until they return safely. It is of great importance for a mother to be able to go to her local post office to send her son a parcel or money,” he said.

“Imagine, then, Mrs Davies’ shock when the owner of her local post office in Wilson Road, Ely, Cardiff, a certain Mr Khan, asked her where her son was serving.

“When she told him Afghanistan, he informed her that she was not welcome to send him anything from her post office, either packages or money,” Mr Mahoney said. He also instructed his staff not to serve her.

“All this took place publicly in the shop in front of witnesses,” he continued. “It left Mrs Davies astonished, frustrated and upset.”

Even a neighbour who later offered to post her parcel was refused service because they had identified from whom the parcel was being sent.

The post office and the shop at the end of the road is a vitally important service to the local community and Mrs Davies was bewildered at being made to feel an outcast in her own country by a hostile immigrant from the Third World.

Mrs Davies then contacted South Wales BNP and was interviewed on camera by Mr Mahoney, the result of which can be viewed below.

“We tried to contact Mr Khan to ask for a statement by telephoning him at his post office premises on 029 205 91511, but apparently he is away in India at the moment,” Mr Mahoney said.

“We spoke with his manageress though, a June Thomas who is carrying out his instructions, but she refused to comment.

“We don’t know why Mr Khan should feel he has any authority at all to dictate to British mothers in this country that they are not allowed to post parcels to British soldiers serving in Afghanistan. Maybe it would be a good idea for the British public to ask Mr Khan for themselves, in a polite fashion, of course.”

What a disgusting story, Borg--thanks for posting it. My next question, to any Brits on the list--is this legal?

Can Mr. Khan refuse to serve a British woman mailing a legal package, or is he in violation of the law?

As bad as the rest of the West is, that is no excuse for the way the UK is behaving, as evidenced not only by Borg's post, but by hundreds of essays on Jihad Watch over the years.

Mr Khan is an employee of the Post Office. It is they who should be pulled up for questioning.

Well BO is setting them all free and they have to go somewhere, back to the country of origin is where they should be.

Sorry I can't fault BO for them killing their own people, he is just giving the Muslims what they want...their own barbaric youth back home.

If Iraq or any other country has a problem with it, then that is their problem, not ours. Each government needs to step up and deal with the problem THEY created. Put them in their own prisons and don't let them wander around. They were in jail for a reason.

Now if it happens here on American soil BO will be facing a public who will happily toss him out of the White House. (Before 2012)

I can only imagine the backlash here.

I watched this video when the BNP first released it, what stood out here is the post office not only refused to serve Mrs Davis, bot also sells Bargain Booze, see frame 3:20

Doesn't make any sense. Did the bombers kill themselves, or did they just set off the bombs and were captured and jailed? Something seems to be lost in translation (and/or linking).

Nonetheless, the numbers are very worrying. Add the fact that "war on terror" is no longer in use, the attitude of the present administration does not bode well for future security.

Thanks for posting the item.

'Please release me, let me go. For I don't love you anymore. To waste our lives would be a sin ...'

No sin is ever wasted in Islam...no lives are ever saved...just destroyed...Islam not only does not love you anymore, it never did...the proof is in the boom...Allah is always willing when it comes to booms...

Your comments concerning the release of the prisoners from Camp Bucca indicate you do not understand the requirements of the SOFA signed between America and Iraq. All prisoners held by US Forces MUST be released to Iraqi authorities by 2011. Calling our president an ahole demonstrates your partisan stance and your ignorance. Try to learn something about what you comment on before you comment. That way you won't look like a complete moron.

Please release me...
Jewdog...that is a good tune.

Obama has to go.
If the people of the US do not rise up and have this man impeached as a traitor I will lose all respect for the majority of Americans.

I simply point out that the 95 were Iraqis, not Americans. We should be spending our tax dollars paying for the upkeep of jihadis in our jails, in order to protect the Iraqi government and people who hate our guts and who support the jihadis, according to the polls? They were striving in the way of Allah. That's what they do.

Obama: unleashing the Jihad while prosecuting the CIA.

He'll start wearing his shoes on his head, next.
