Leftists and stealth jihadists target Rifqa Bary and her defenders

A vile game -- and if they win, their prize could be a dead girl. "Rifqa's Apostasy," by Pamela Geller in Human Events, August 28:

[...] The Orlando Sentinel is busy propagating the statements of Rifqa Bary’s devout Muslim family and the family’s lawyers. CAIR, according to the Jawa Report blog, has “instructed supporters to circulate rumors that Rifqa had been carousing with infidel boys and engaged in acts of immorality.” But it looks awfully bad to keep going after a little girl. So they’re also blaming the American people’s alleged “ignorance of Islam.”

Ahmed M. Rehab, executive director of CAIR, wrote to the Sentinel complaining about the “public’s ignorance of Islamic history, culture and contemporary affairs,” and charging that “Rifqa’s parents are judged not by who they are but by what the pundits say they are."

Does Rehab, whose CAIR organization was in 2007 named an un-indicted co-conspirator in a terrorism funding case, mention the death threat to Rifqa? Or the death penalty for apostasy in Islam? Does he discuss Rifqa’s fears, or the danger Rifqa is in? No. It’s all about “nuance,” “perception,” and “1,400 years of solid civilization by Muslims from China to Spain.” He even says that “7 million American Muslims live among their neighbors in this country as proud, upright citizens,” wildly inflating the Muslim population in the U.S. and ignoring terror activity that has been documented among Muslims here.

And that is only the beginning. Now, a larger context comes into play. Those who question the violent teachings of Muhammad are being painted with the “racist” brush. The objective is to smear those who dare speak the truth and validate, with scholarship and historic evidence, Rifqa Bary’s claims.

On Monday the Daily Kos, the largest left-wing blog on the Internet, went after “anti-Muslim” blogs and pundits. Robert Spencer, best selling author of nine books (his latest is The Complete Infidel’s Guide to the Koran, ) and renowned scholar on Islam, exposed Kos’s intellectually dishonest argument.

Responding to Kos’ charges of “hate,” Spencer said: “It is not ‘hate’ to report accurately on how Islamic jihadists use Islamic texts and teachings to justify violence against non-Muslims. Nor is it ‘anti-Muslim’ to do so. If the Kos gang is interested in actual ‘hate,’ they should write about those who kill unbelievers and oppress women in the name of Sharia. It is not ‘hate’ to defend the equality of rights of women with men, freedom of speech, and other rights that are denied under Sharia.”

It is no accident that Kos decided to do a counter jihad smear Monday. You can’t attack a little girl every day and rally supporters. So now it’s time to take down her defenders. Time magazine is trying to do this as well: “Not surprisingly, Rifqa is turning into a cause célèbre. Conservative websites often accused of anti-Muslim agendas, such as the Jawa Report, Atlas Shrugs and WorldNetDaily, have been lighting up over the Rifqa fight. No doubt conservative and anti-U.S. Muslim [sic] will eventually step into the media frenzy.”

Saving a life a young girl’s life is now a “cause célèbre,” which the Times people seem to use as a pejorative. But it must be for all who value freedom....

Yes, it is. Read it all.

It's true...the general public is ignorant...but not JW and not Pamela and not Jawa...Rehab needs some rehab...
The whole CAIR bunch and its leftist supporters are pathetic...

"Never give up. Let's go."

It's now at the stage where almost nothing printed by the mainstream media can be trusted. So many stories turn out to be misquoted, misrepresented - some manage to be merely misguided.

Some of the time it doesn't matter too much, but lives have been blighted and careers destroyed on such information. When a life is at risk, it becomes totally, dangerously reprehensible.

Why do they do it? When it comes to things Islamic, they are actually working towards their own demise!

I'm starting to believe some of the conspiracies floating around the internet.

All we can do is keep up the pressure by supporting, emailing and blogging.

I should add that if anyone can get Rifqa over to the UK - here at 17, she can legally tell authorities and parents where to go.

Is there anything we here in Britain can do to help? This poor girls situation is extremely perilous, surely the authorities in the U.S.will not allow her to be returned to what will be an almost certain death? If not in America then surely in Sri Lanka.

And MrsJ is right, if she can be brought to Britain she is classed as an adult.

Indeed the American public is by and large ignorant about Islam, which is why the liberal-left media can get away with slobbering over dubious figures like Ahmed Rehab and Muhammad Bary. On the other hand, most of us that post here are very well informed on Islamic history, culture, and doctrines. It is not what we don't know that causes us to fear for Rifqa Bary, but what we know all to well. Most of us here have read the Qur'an, the major hadith collections, and the judicial writings of classical Sunni scholars and thus know very well the traditional Muslim understanding of jihad, punishments for apostasy, and the host of other issues of perpetual controversy.

leftist i am sure they are paid by muslims any sane persone will never tolerate people who are scum expect if they are paid.

THELEGEND2009 is back.

True; the left does not own all issues that our contrary to conservative thought. Even conservatives hold to some issues that seem exclusive to liberal thinking.

What gets most often reflected from leftwing camps is a need to oppose anything that is promoted by conservative values no matter the consequence of it.

Rifqa Bary is seen as just another political pawn in their narrow minded soup of ideas. If Conservative or Islamophobes are pushing to protect Rifqa from their family then they are doing something wrong, never mind what sharia says.

At least the Orlando Sentinel did one good thing in producing a poll on the Bary case. Nearly 76 Pct. of the respondents felt Rifqa should not be returned to Ohio and 11 Pct. said that Ohio authorities should do a more thorough investigation of the Bary family.

This means that 87 Pct.showed concern about Rifqa Bary's plight. While 13 pct felt she should be returned to her family in Ohio; no questions asked.

One can't help feeling that naive writers like Mike Thomas should have their ears pinned back a bit after writing an article in the Sentinal that clearly demonstrated how ignorant he was of Islamic sharia law

Those "compassionate", "caring", "unbiased" left-wing morons make me sick to my stomach. They share a common trait with the muslims they so staunchly defend---an inability to think outside the box, or to even think! They are group thinkers with tunnel vision, yet they consider themselves paragons of virtue because they do not "discriminate". Maybe they will learn that discrimination is preferable to relativism if they want to sustain their way of life, not that I would miss them or their twisted ideology. They defend an abomination without one ounce of knowledge about what they defend. They never debate the issues because it's so much easier and more effective to excoriate conservatives with their hackneyed cliches. And these people consider themselves smarter, more enlightened, and the vanguard of human rights. They are dangerous and disgusting!

It isn't ignorance that the terrorists at CAIR fear, it is knowledge. They demonize everyone who knows what and who they are and what islam is because they cannot defend their vile religion. It is abominable and they know it. These people belong in another world far away from civilization, not in radical, secluded enclaves in our country. It is almost hard to believe that CAIR would push to have this child returned to her evil parents knowing she will be killed, or maybe they know she will be returned to Sri Lanka and quitely disposed of there, with no media fanfare. CAIR is despicable. They cannot sit back quietly and allow her to set an example for other enslaved muslim females. Wouldn't want to set a precedent or start a new trend that might upset the islamic apple cart. Without the subjugation of women, islam would implode.

To use the MSM to put pressure on certain individuals is quite common. In Europe right now we have the case of Jose Mourinho, a famous soccer coach, who has made the 'mistake' of criticizing one of his muslim players for lack of energy due to the Ramadan;

http://sports.sg.msn.com/football-channel/article.aspx?cp-documentid=3551963

Leftists can't stand the mentioning or the practice of religion, therefore, this case shall have nothing to do with Islam, um, unless a similar threat was suspected from a Christian, then that will definitely be the fault of Christianity and the crusades will be the proof, doncha know?

I fear Rifqa's days are numbered...

"If the Kos gang is interested in actual ‘hate,’ they should write about those who kill unbelievers and oppress women in the name of Sharia."

And to find the source of that hate they should read the Koran, especially all of sura 9.

But that won't happen.

Don't you guys in the US have a law where you can divorce your parents?

Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.

This 17-year-old should petition the court for emancipation. For heaven's sake, she's nearly 18. I am praying that our living Lord will protect her and that the court will allow her to make her own choice.

I agree she should be emancipated. I think Americans are becoming more informed about Islam than C.A.I.R. realizes. Islam is what Islam does. What Islam demands of its followers is death for apostates, unless they re-re-vert, after intensive pressure of family and mosque.

The words of C.A.I.R. and all other apologists mean nothing. What is done in Islam, Dar al Islam in particular is what matters. Let the evidence speak for itself.

Stand Fast, I'm with you and Ice Star--emancipation and then some type of "witness protection" type of program, since her family may still come after her in Florida.

Oh, so Rifqa's 'apostasy' wasn't enough to rile up the muslim mobs to murder her? The Bary name is soiled by this apostasy and so here we have CAIR-to-the-rescue providing grapevine pr assistance to instigate cultural cleansing by upping the ante with fictional claims of

'carousing with infidel boys and acts of immorality'.

Similar accusations cost Amina and Sarah Said their lives.

Document CAIR's complicity and bring this organization to it's knees in court - charge them with incitement to murder Rifqa Bary.

Note that the charge is not just 'carousing with boys' (which would be bad enough - a charge of zina, immorality) but 'carousing with *infidel* boys'. In other words: Muslims in America are being told that this girl has defied the sharia not just by her apostasy but in other ways.

Because, according to the sharia, based on a verse in the Qur'an, Muslim females are not permitted to marry non-Muslim males. So, of course, any other activity short of marriage is also verboten...since it might *lead* to marriage. An Iraqi Muslim girl was murdered, horribly, by her father, on the mere *suspicion* that she had become romantically interested in a nice young British soldier with whom she had had some very fleeting and polite conversation in a public, official setting (distribution of aid, or somesuch); daddy would probably have liked to murder the young man, too, but that would have been just a tad more difficult to achieve.

Underlying this rule is the Tyrant-Slave Dominate/ Submit zero-sum paradigm that pervades Islam. Unless you have total dominance, you are 'humiliated'. Hassan al-Banna - 'Islam is to dominate and not be dominated'.

'Marriage' (or what corresponds to it, under sharia), is seen in terms of total domination by the male, total submission by the female - it's essentially a master-slave relationship. But Muslims are not supposed to be slaves to non-Muslims; so if a Muslim sees a Muslimah in love with, or marrying, a non-Muslim male, this is seen as the muslimah being the *slave* of her non-Muslim lover or husband. Oh, the *humiliation*! All of Islam is humiliated!

Those lowlife bastards, accusing that sweet little girl of doing what everyone of those pervs would like to do.

The pot calling the kettle black. Actually, the pot calling the exquisite crystal vase black.

Maybe Sarah Palin could take Rifqa under her wing...and our own Alaskan Infidel could offer to teach her how to keep and command a great big dog or two or three, and teach her how to shoot straight. Alaska has plenty of Native girls who have long black hair and olive skin and big dark eyes, she could 'blend in'.

Islam backs off from open displays of power. I think Sarah Palin, grandma, armed with a moose gun, would be a sufficiently offputting possibility.
