I don't defend him purely because he's a Muslim but because I believe strongly that men are innocent until proven guilty. It is not *obvious* to me that he's guilty of what he's charged. He's certainly a former mujahideen and he certainly seems to have all the right credentials to be linked up for the charges against him.

A noble sentiment, GT, however here's where we in the West need to start to be honest:

If it's primarily moslems that are committing atrocities, behaving in an anti-social way, molesting children under the guise of marriage then how long should we continue to treat moslems as 'innocent until proven guilty'?

In my opinion it does everyone a disservice if we pretend that islam is compatible with free democratically elected society.

Pardon my ignorance, but at what "Muslim holy sites" will Boyd ever find a US military presence?

Having U.S. soil on Saudi Arabia is a long time point of contention for the mujahideen as they feel it is part of an attempt by the United States to maintain control over their lands. Some of this presence was created during the first Gulf War and it was promised that they would leave. They never did.

Remember that the Muslims are obligated to retake any lands lost to the kuffar, so if you can spin it that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia "lost" those lands they must be retaken.

That timeline really does not work. From previous reports, Mr. Boyd was in the Pakistan/Afghan region from 1989 to 1992. The Soviet Union had pulled out of Afghanistan by 2-89. Also, Mr. Body is only 39 now, which would have made him around 19 back then.

So, when the Soviet Union was aggressively pursuing its campaign in Afghanistan(1979-85), Mr. Boyd would have been a young teen, and out of the picture. In short, he was not there to fight the Soviets. Finally, there is the matter of his bank robbery conviction in Pakistan in 1991. Mr. Boyd did get off on an appeal, and was ejected by Pakistan as an undesirable. And while in the United States, according to press reports, he did not simply engage in drywalling.

Support for Israel?

Israel has a right to exist and should own and occupy every inch of land granted to them by the original UN mandate. That includes Jerusalem. Israel is the ONLY free country in the ME. Even Muslims themselves want to be treated in Israeli hospitals. Talk a look at Noni Darwish's book, Now They Call Me An Infidel.
