Somewhere in England

As I noted here, I am still in England and have been working all week with work on a documentary on the Islamization of Europe -- the one I mentioned here.

It has been an interesting week on a number of levels. I had a most illuminating dinner with a group including Douglas Murray that offered a bracing introduction to British dhimmitude: we had to move our dinner at the last minute since the proprietors of the George Restaurant didn't like us discussing jihad and Islamization on the premises. In fact, when I returned to the George the next night with the producers of the film, we were not allowed entry because the previous night we had been discussing jihad and Islamic supremacism. That's the George Restaurant, 114 Glengall Grove, Isle of Dogs, London, E14 3ND, telephone number 020 7987 2954.

When not getting bounced out of pubs, the intrepid Jason Campbell of the Christian Action Network and I took strolls into a few mosques: the North London Central Mosque, aka the Finsbury Park Mosque, old haunt of the one-eyed, hook-handed jihadi Abu Hamza; the expansive and prosperous Islamic Cultural Centre on Baker Street; the likewise large (and rapidly expanding) East London Mosque and London Muslim Centre; and the Stockwell Green Muslim Centre, where teenagers are recruited for jihad. Had a few interesting conversations with folks inside those mosques. We also went by the Masjid-e-Ilyas near the site of the 2012 Olympics -- where Muslims want to build the largest mosque in Europe, capable of holding 70,000 people. But we were not allowed in.

Photos to come!

There is no way that a freedom loving Westerner may *not* run into cringing British dhimmitude.

Please tell me that you did not enter these enemy barracks without disguise, Robert.

Have you had any run-ins with any of our old friends here a Jihadwatch.org like Anjem Choudary? Do keep safe Mr. Spencer.

In the belly of a great beast, Londonistan. Be careful and good luck, Mr. Spencer, since Muslims and dhimmis abound there.

"....but were not allowed in...."

but of course the lying Muslims who post here from time to time will tell you that anyone is welcome to visit a mosque...

Any chance there might be come interior construction not on the blueprints that must be hidden from infidel eyes? Nah, surely not.

I hope all our English posters will boycott the George Restaurant in London. I can do nothing but express my dismay from this side of the pond.

We Americans should understand that another four years of Obama will result in a similar dhimmitude here in the States.

Uh, the underground armory, for starters?

The George -- it sounds like an old coaching inn.
And at the Isle of Dogs, yet. This may remind some that others have gotten into trouble for having something to do with the Isle of Dogs. Those others included Ben Jonson and Thomas Nashe. Think of yourself as in good company, even if that good company was a long time ago.

By coincidence I was quite nearby yesterday evening, at The Gun, and I don't recall anyone listening in or remarking on our discussion of Islam.

had to move our dinner at the last minute since the proprietors of the George Restaurant didn't like us discussing jihad and Islamization on the premises.

So the landlord was earwigging on your conversation and threw you out? Bad form. I know where not to go. Strange to go back the next evening, though, when there are so many agreeable pubs in London.

You're not the only one. Esmerelda Weatherwax and I attended an "open" day at what was then a muddy building site with a giant portakabin, and they were very secretive. See here.

Where is the money coming from for this mosque?

Watch the video here, in which Alan Craig of Christian voice attempts to ask some important questions but gets no answers.

Why go back the second night?

Here is Obama's Ramadan smooze...

The Dhimmitude isn't surprising among all too many Brits. For example, even my ex-girlfriend was frightened of even logging on to websites critical of Islam like JihadWatch or the Religion of Peace. Seriously. She was frightened that her or my name would be noted for some list.

From what I saw too many Brits are cowered into being good little dhimmi's.

Are you sure that wasn't the George III restaurant? After all, the place does sound both tyrannical and barking mad!

Nowhere in the entire West are we sufficiently awake to cast asparagus on the British -- Canada, USA, Australia, all of Europe: all continue to have far more debits in this regard than credit. Until we see one country stand up with laws, public policy and their majority of politicians and reporters on the right side, any one of the rest of us have no right to single out any one for censure.

Robert, I can't wait for you to tell us more about the "interesting conversations" you had with those inside the mosques. Please be careful.

I believe you would learn a lot more if you had taken a tour of Dewsbury, Oldham or Kieghley, than putting a foot inside those citadels of hate

Keighely, West Yorkshire?

I know that Europeans don't enjoy the same freedoms we have here in the USA. My relatives in Germany were so surprised that we could fly our flag on our own house.

How sad that instead of celebrating a dissenting point of view, and showing respect for a visitor from across the pond , they refused to serve you. Just what were they afraid of anyway?

It is a little premature to describe the London Markaz, currently the Abbeymills Mosque as 'being built'.
They have not got planning permission for a new bigger mosque, since appointing new architects last year have still not produced any prospective new plans (the open day was supposed to canvas public opinion on shape, form and content - the promised follow up and newsletters never happened)and planning permission for temporary use of the existing structures has expired. The land is badly contaminated from its previous use as a chemical factory and clearing that will take several years first. Contamination is so bad that only a small part of the site, that around the old factory office block which what is currently used as the mosque, can even be stepped upon.
The only work done since the open day was ramadan last year when everything on the outside was given a uniform coat of cream paint. Whatever they may be plotting for the future, it won't be ready for the 2012 Olympics and we are working towards it never being built at all.
Mary Jackson and I follow this closely - we report regularly on the New English Review.
Meanwhile welcome to England Robert; there are plenty of us here working hard to combat the menace.

As someone who was there, and the person whose comments to camera caused the trouble in the first place, I think one or two of your commenters are being unfair.

A room had been reserved for us to film in, but as it was sunny, we were in the pub garden. Halfway through my interview I noticed two "Muslims" had been going out to refill their (haram) alcoholic drinks and mentioned this to Jason as a potential source of aggravation. We continued to discuss the Islamification of Britain and the two Muslims then complained.

Jason himself said that he did not blame the management - the George is in an area surrounded by Muslims, where almost all the women are veiled or in burkas. The fault lies not so much with the proprietors of the George, who do not want their pub attacked, but with the sheer numbers and the attitudes of Muslims in Britain and Europe.

What I had said which offended the "alcohol-drinking Muslims was nothing that I have not already written about:
http://www.fsmarchives.org/?authorid=54
http://www.familysecuritymatters.org/authors/id.3/author_detail.asp

What is a problem is that the complaint of the Muslims was taken at face value with no checks upon what was said (we had proof of what was said, whereas they did not).

At least you got your meal, Mr Spencer. Tensions between some of the anti-jihadist factions who had all been kindly invited by Jason to a meal caused splitting of the groups and confusion. In those tensions are a microcosm of why Britain has failed to adequately tackle jihadism.

Regards

Adrian Morgan

I wasn't aware that the monster mosque actually got planning permission. The last I heard was that there were several issues regarding its size, purpose, funding and dominance of the area which is not Muslim.

It seems that the opinions of the British people are irrelevant when it comes to the spread of Islam in their country and government will back down every time in the face of Muslim money and influence.

Roberto, Roberto!

Visiting Mosques in olde Engeland! Not long before you will be cut up and eaten alive!

I would have given my eyeteeth to be on this tour with you.

Lets do another EUrabian country next year!

Stay safe. You are a truly endangered species...

Would Adrian Morgan alias Giraldus Cambrensis please tell us what happened to his excellent website Western Resistance?
It seems to have been taken over by Muslim cyber-squatters.

On another issue:

Not all Brits are as dhimmified as some people imagine.
Take the interview with Sebastian Falks in today’s Sunday Times.

“It’s a depressing book. It really is. It’s just the rantings of a schizophrenic. It’s very one-dimensional, and people talk about the beauty of the Arabic and so on, but the English translation I read was, from a literary point of view, very disappointing….With the Koran there are no stories. And it has no ethical dimension like the New Testament, no new plan for life. It says ‘the Jews and the Christians were along the right tracks, but actually, they were wrong and I’m right, and if you don’t believe me, tough — you’ll burn for ever.’ That’s basically the message of the book.”

Sorry I forgot to point out that Sebastian Falks is referring to the Qu'ran.

Well even though I wrote most articles there, I am not the owner of Western Resistance. A Cuban American called Sorge has that privilege, but he seems to have disappeared. He had a massive tumour removed a few years ago, and therefore there is concern as to his health and well-being. His last known communication was in May, on Facebook.

Sadly the domain has now expired, and with only one domain owner named, we are unable to "refloat" the site. With another contributor to the site we are trying to get info on his whereabouts and have contacted Cuban-Americans in Miami. I am currently using the "Wayback Machine"
http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://westernresistance.com

to retrieve articles I wrote, as reference for a book I am compiling.

The disappearance of Sorge is still a source of paramount concern.

Hi Robert,

If you'd have come over to North West London, you'd have been given a wonderfully warm welcome. We'd really love to meet you.

well Robert we aren't all dhimmis. Then again I live in very rural England and would never even visit the Isle of Dogs. no need.
Here we have NO Muslims that I know of but there are loads just 12 miles away.

We aren't all dhimmis. I tend to keep my views to myself in this, over regulated stupidly PC, world Ever since a poor bloke in Cumbria was locked up for standing in the street declaring that Islam is a cult. In my opinion ALL religions are cults and I have little doubt at all that the bloke was locked up just for speaking the truth but it was judged as hate speech! No "freedom of speech" here or in much of the western world any more.

Britons ARE though awakening to the problem. Relatives and friends are now realising and starting to make negative utterances not just against Islam but actually against Muslims in general.
Their complaints are about the stupid desert dress, which many find offensive, the criminality, and the apparent discrimination in favour of Muslims. Neither I, nor my friends or relatives, are members of the BNP!
Muslims will pay a very dear premium for failing to denounce the "misunderstanding" of their "religion" and for actually publicly supporting terrorism and Shariah. And for abusing our welfare system and , with few exceptions, refusing to actually assimmilate.
I'm fairly sure it will all kick off very soon. The UK rather than Denmark, Sweden or France or Germany may prove to be responsible for igniting the fuse! It will be spontaneous rather than planned. When you've had enough then you HAVE had enough. The USA will be slower because of your vast space.
Then again you may not have noticed that several (7 or 8) of the Muslim Luton protesters HAVE been prosecuted following their disgusting display against a march by the Royal Anglian Regiment on their return from Afganistan. I expect Muslim riots when they are convicted - that is if our useless prosecuters manage to achieve conviction.
I also suspect that one Mr Khan may shortly be sacked from his sub-postmaster position for refusing to accept parcels.
May it escalate.

Stay safe Robert and friends. If you do get a chance to get out of Londonistan please take it. As others have mentioned, Keighley, Dewsbury, Bradord and Oldham would also provide a lot of material.

And please take the chance to see some of the nicer parts of England while we still have them. The Cotswolds is worth a visit with picture postcard villages.

Of course I am writing this from 'Bradistan' about 7 miles from Keighley which some of your posters are slagging off. This is a beautifull, green, historic (my terrace house dates from 1868) part of West Yorkshire well removed from the 'Isle of Thugs' Londonistan.

You do realise don't you, Robert, that an Evangelical Christian Church with a capacity of over 20,000 in the area of the London Olympics has been demolished. Apparently it couldn't be kept without unacceptable cost to change the plan for the Olympic stadium. The church was built with donations and endowments (no public money). The church site has been compulsory purchased for the Olympics Delivery Authority (ODA) which means the church authorities will get a fraction of the real value of the building & site and will not be able to build as large a replacement building elsewhere. But of course there is no such problem over sites for Mosques.

Dear Robert, this is really bad news. To be thrown out of a restaurant, only for using your right to free speech, that's outrageous. But we all know that there are a lot of British people who are against this, who stand for freedom, our British co-posters, Melanie Phillipps, Pat Condell...

Please, come to the continent, as well. You're always welcome in my house and you'll get good kosher food. According to British and French friends, Bavaria is one of the safest places in Europe, and you can discuss anything anywhere overhere, no censorship. But the Germans need to learn a lot about jihadis and Islam, big backlog demand here. And you're the best teacher.

As for that Masjid-e-Ilyas near the site of the 2012 Olympics, that mega-monster mosque, all the European taxpayers are sponsoring it. I don't understand the EU authorities. Europe could be so wonderful, so free, but what are we doing? We're submitting to Islam which means submission.

If Islamization is not stopped, the rest of the world will look like this.

After signing several petitions opposing the building of this mosque, 10 Downing St (my government) emailed me saying the mosque will not be built.
Thank you my government for your transparency on this issue and welcome my fellow Brits, to Soviet Russia.

Robert,
I hope that in your documentary of the Islamization of Europe, you would interview some leaders from the British National Party, the only party to actively state their opposition to Islamization. Since you have taken the view that this party seems to basically seeded in racism, it would be good to find out if this is the case or if they a motivated by lots of knowledge about Islam, what it has done to destroy its country, and what its plans are to take over all of Europe and the world. This would be right in line with the purpose of your documentary and you could kill two birds with one stone so to speak.

Next time you're coming Robert, be sure to let me know. I'll happily drive you up North to the areas around my birthplace, some of which are now almost indistinguishable from Islamabad, lack of sunshine notwithstanding.

I'll also tell you where you can eat 'un-eavesdropped' and extremely well; and partake of the most wonderful English Real Ale ;)

It boggles the mind that mere talk of stopping terrorism would be banned while actually doing terrorism is barely stopped.

Common sense would dictate that the criminals should be stopped while those who would stop them are encouraged.

It turns the notion of civilization entirely on its head and allows the enemy to win.

One more step for dhimmitude, one giant leap backwards for "Britainistan".

Shameful.

Perhaps if they would have dressed as Muslims they would not have been ushered out of the restaraunt?

Your courage inspires us mr Spencer, but please do not take unnecessary risks.

@mr Briars. If the BNP is not a racist party, can you please inform us about the story that the BNP does not welcome non-white members. I read it everywhere. Is it a lie?
(Apart from being morally despicable it is stupid as well: among the finest opponents of islamization are non-whites)

"Tensions between some of the anti-jihadist factions who had all been kindly invited by Jason to a meal caused splitting of the groups and confusion. In those tensions are a microcosm of why Britain has failed to adequately tackle jihadism."

There are two types of internecine tensions within a group:

1) tensions of disagreements -- which may be further subdivided into two types:

a) disagreements which may or may not seem serious, but which can be tolerated by the members of the group through a spirit of mutual "agreement to disagree" while remaining united on other matters

b) disagreements which are perceived to cross a threshhold by which unity is no longer possible (this may be mutual, or unilateral, but either way has the same effect of dissolving the unity)

2) closely related to #1, yet subtly different: tensions of how to handle disagreements. This may be seen as a "meta" form of #1. It's the problem of disagreeing about how to disagree as a group.

It is in the realm of #2, I have noticed, where "anti-jihadist factions" become -- sometimes irreparably -- fractious.

This problem, in turn, is further aggravated by the anti-jihad movement's apparent lack of organization by which such issues can be adjudicated in a more organized fashion. And this, furthermore, tends to be aggravated by the lack of transparency and flow of information about some of these "tensions" that keep popping up, about whose background motives and effects we hoi ochloi have virtually no knowledge, but which seem to reflect rather important goings-on behind the scenes and in the back of smoke-filled rooms in an aristocratic gentlemen's club.

This, yet in its turn, seems to reflect an attitude among that aristocracy (more often than not strenuously supported by the fiercely loyal peasantry of the movement who seem to be in the vast majority) that by bringing those back-room in-the-closet tensions out into the open to be more transparently discussed, debated, and then possibly adjudicated, this will have a deleterious effect on the strength of the movement. This curious principle may be so for fascist tyrannies, totalitarian governments, and criminal organizations, but one would be hard pressed to argue for the merit of keeping important differences locked away in darkness and repression, instead of bringing them out into the sunshine and air of fair discussion.

Anybody here ever read much Nevil Shute?

Just curious.

What?

Good lord Hesperado!

joeblough - I've read *some* Nevil Shute. Not the post-nuclear-apocalypse novel 'On the Beach'; rather, his romance, "A Town Like Alice".

God speed, Robert! Stay safe in PC Britain. BTW, I have been honoured to contribute to JW and Geert Wilders' defense fund. islam must be exposed and defeated by us kaffirs.

Another pass time of black immigrants in England is something called 'jack rolling'. It requires blocking off a street using fellow gang members and systematically raping every white female caught in the net. It seems to be a speciality of the afro-caribbean tribe including newly arrived asylum seekers from southern Africa. I suggested allowing white women to carry guns. A bullet in the genitals works wonders for dumb rapists.

joeblough-

I've read enough Shute to know, "this is the way the world ends, not with a bang, but a whimper" (T.S. Eliot).

India is facing worst form of islamic terrorism.Still U.K. supports terrorist states like pakistan. Why this double standard?
Charity begins at home.
