Choudary, like the Palestinian Muslims, throws out the charge of "genocide" at the drop of a hat, thereby cheapening the real genocides -- against the Jews, the Armenians, etc. -- and claiming victim status for Muslims in the West, which is, as any regular reader of Jihad Watch knows, part of an ongoing effort to shift public focus away from Islamic jihad violence and to put the onus upon those who are calling attention to that violence as if they were victimizing innocent Muslims. Meanwhile, of course, people like Choudary operate relatively unimpeded, which is testimony to the impotence of authorities in the UK, and to the indifference and/or complicity of the Muslim community there, which supposedly condemns his understanding of Islam.

It first appeared not as a stand-alone, but as an offtopic in the thread pertaining to the Australian judge Peter McClelland deciding against the Islamic spin-doctor Keysar Trad.
Here is the exchange that took place then. I will post my copy of that exchange first, before re-posting the record of the conversation that transpired on IntenseDebate when Mr Spencer posted the article as a stand-alone.

London, Aug.1 (ANI): Islamic extremist Anjem Choudary and several of his supporters have publicly demanded the prosecution of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II over a charge that she sanctioned British troops to wipe out the civilian population in Afghanistan.
In an Internet rant to fellow extremist Muslims, and reported by The Sun, they declared: "She is the one who applauds her sons and daughters to go out and massacre hundreds and thousands of innocent people. Shouldn't she be tried for genocide and the extermination of a nation?"
The rant has left Members of Parliament livid with anger.
Labour MP Andrew Dismore said of the shameful attack that appeared on a website linked to Choudary: "Never mind calling for the prosecution of the Queen. The Queen should prosecute him. It's about time he was busted."
Fellow MP Patrick Mercer - chairman of the Commons counter- terrorism sub-committee - branded it an "insult to our monarch."
The ex-soldier stormed: "We must recognise Mr. Choudary's words for what they are - weapons being wielded by al-Qaeda and the Taliban. This is the next phase of an enemy operation in our country."
Cops are currently investigating Choudary, 42 - who is on benefits and is a pal of hate preacher Omar Bakri - for demanding gays be stoned to death.
Douglas Murray, of the Centre for Social Cohesion, said of the latest outrage: "It's especially offensive because the people behind it are living off handouts from the British taxpayer." (ANI)

I have a subscription to Ancestry.co.uk which lets me search birth records, and there is no Anjem Choudary. The nearest is an Injam Choudary born in the Hampstead district in 1967; the mother's maiden name was Bano. Not knowing his mother's maiden name, I couldn't say for certain if that was him. It's the right year and general area though.
A quick trawl through Google shows that some people (mostly Muslims) refer to him as Injam.
