This issue has NOTHING to do with Islamic prayers in public schools. It cheapens valid issues (Islamic prayer time) to use non-related issues, like forcing a captive audience at a graduation to listen to overtly religious music.
What was the headline on that other item? Dhimmitude on stilts?
One must look coolly at the facts and draw the self-evident logical conclusions.
This court is not neutral between mohammedanism and American institutions or traditional religions.

So? What's being done about it?

Shocking, it's just shocking. What's with the Western cultural suicide? How and why have we come to this???
Our Islam apologist "dave" is correct -- this does have nothing to do with Islamic prayer: which is the whole point of Spencer's calling our attention to this case. An instrumental rendition of a famous song that happens to include words of Catholic prayer is utterly harmless in a secular venue and doesn't threaten the principle of Church-State separation one whit. The hand-wringing anxiety exemplified by the school authorities as one gleans by reading the legal case linked by "dave" reveals a pathetic and irrational insecurity. Meanwhile, that same school allows blatant religious prayer on school grounds accorded to students who are practitioners of a religion. Their priorities are ass-backward, and reflect the broader quantum ignorance about the problem of Islam that is prevalent throughout the West.
Interesting bug I've noticed with this new system: When you're on the main page looking at an article -- this article here says it has "8 comments", but when you open up comments it says it only has "6 comments" and indeed it does only have 6.

Ah Hugh, you misunderstood. J'adore absolument Silvana's performance. I will have to restrain myself from tapping impatiently the next video! Watching her sing and dance was such a lovely interlude....truly something to be missed if the Sharia ever becomes fully enforced in the west. It would be a crime to have to whisper such wondrous things in secret to our hijabbed grand daughters.

I thought that Muslims disliked all songs. Could it be that the Ave Maria in particular, makes them squirm or do they happily allow hard rock, rap, etc. Of course, we all know that hard rock, rap, etc. has absolutely no negative effect on kids. (sarc. off)
