These are all highly debatable claims. Did Superintendent of Schools Mark J. Klein seek to verify CAIR's (false) claim that Obsession "seeks to blur the distinction between violent extremism and mainstream Islam"? In fact, the movie bends over backwards not to blur that distinction -- so much so that some say it errs too much on the other side, giving viewers the impression that the Islamic jihad globally is just the property of a few nuts, and is condemned and actively opposed by the vast majority of Muslims. Did Klein receive this claim from CAIR and investigate it? Or did he receive it and immediately move to accommodate these thugs and bullies, without giving it a moment's thought?
"Balanced." Does Mark J. Klein really want CAIR to decide what is a balanced curriculum? Does Mark J. Klein know or care that CAIR, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, is an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case -- so named by the Justice Department? Don't bother repeating that one page of text didn't match up with the commentary, it's irrelevant. The overall message is a fact.

I have 2 copies of that video and have watched it several times. There are several times when it is stressed that Violent behavior is not the norm for most Muslims. The video is not inaccurate at all,nothing in it is a fabrication. No stereotypes are portrayed. Muslim students could use the opportunity to watch the video and refute it.

I have been to this website. It is totally biased and does not refute anything in the video Obsession. It simply encourages people to protest the video and attacks those commentators in the video. None of the commentators bash anyone, they discus the ideology that fosters the violence.

The only way it would be suitable for Muslim reps to be invited to talk to impressionable children, would be if they were to watch Obsession and Fitna for a truly balanced exposure of Islam in all its totalitarian ideological glory.

In the film obsession, Mr. Itamar Marcus makes the claim that students are subjected to materials in a Jordanian and Palestinian school book that suggests Islam will dominate all other faiths through Islamic Jihad fighters.
However, the Arabic text is clearly visible and is horribly mistranslated. This film has been used as an educational tool. However, it is filled with falsehood and errors. See below for the correct translation.
