BRAMPTON, Ont. -- A Toronto man who admitted Wednesday he was a member of a terrorist group that planned attacks in Canada was caught on police wiretaps saying he hated non-Muslims.
Ali Mohamed Dirie, a Canadian born in Somalia, called white people the "number 1 filthiest people on the face of the planet. They don't have Islam. They're the most filthiest people."
He added that: "In Islam there is no racism, we only hate kufar (non-Muslims)."
The 26-year-old was one of 18 Toronto-area men charged in 2006 in connection with a plot to attack targets in southern Ontario in order to terrorize Canadians into withdrawing troops from Afghanistan.
On Wednesday, in a Brampton courtroom, Dirie acknowledged he had obtained handguns and ammunition in the United States, knowing they were for the terrorist group's ringleader, who followed "an extremist interpretation of Islam."
For almost two hours, the Crown read a 28-page statement of facts before Justice Bruce Durno. When he had finished, Dirie, dressed in a grey hoody, baggy jeans and a blue skullcap, was asked if he thought it was accurate.
"Yes, I do," he said.
Dirie has pleaded guilty to participating in the activities of a terrorist group. A second charge of committing an offence for a terrorist group was stayed.
The Crown and defence have agreed on a seven-year sentence, but disagree over how much credit he deserves for the time has already spent behind bars.
Crown prosecutor Clyde Bond wants him to serve two more years, while the defence wants him to be released at his sentencing next Friday....

Well, he's right. It isn't "racism" to hate the Kuffar. It's what Islam inculcates. And it isn't "racism" for Kuffars, in turn, to dislike, to be naturally and rationally and permanently suspicious of, those who are taught to "hate the Kuffar." So if we, the Kuffars of this world, wish to minimize our risk, and reduce the disruption and internal threats to our own societies -- god knows we have problems enough -- by reducing the Muslim presence in our countries to an absolute minimum, that is not "racism" either. Yes to be sure, this "Kufar" (kafir, whatever) -hating moron belongs to a minority and yes, most Muslims are surely "moderate" as my friends keep telling me. The problem is: Most Germans in 1933 were also "moderate." If you told the average German when Hitler came to power that they should go out and kill all non-Germans and especially more swarthy-looking people, they would have looked at you aghast, refusing the offer of a gun.
But like in Germany of yore, what will happen when the muslim rabid minority gets some kind of foothold anywhere - why, all the "moderates" will follow like sheep. Ali Mohamed Dirie was arrested in 2006. Even if he gets time served, a seven-year sentence should see him imprisoned until 2013.
But, no doubt, Dirie will benefit from the almost automatic "good behavior" while in prison--which is seldom revoked, unless the 'model prisoner' actually murders someone while in custody.
Dirie is completely unrepentant--he still hates Kufar, it seems. Does anyone see him as a continued danger, or are the Canadian authorities perfectly comfortable with the idea of him roaming the streets of Toronto, surrounded by people he avowedly hates? The only cavil, it seems, is whether Dirie will be menacing Canadians in two years, or next Friday.

Aside from the silly denial that in Islam there is no racism (in fact Muslim societies are rife with a whole rainbow of racist attitudes, with for example Arabs feeling superior to their S.E. Asian Muslim brothers, and both of these in turn feeling superior to their black African brothers, etc.), Dirie is alluding to an important point here.
The term "race" is an inherently slippery term, all too easily transgressing proper boundaries of science, anthropology, political science, and philosophy; and thus all too amenable to becoming a deformed philodoxic symbolism. If one maintains a philosophical precision, however, one needn't get mired in the welter of misunderstandings and tendentious ideologies.
Thus, for the purposes of political science, the symbolism "race" may have little or no grounding in any real biological data (though there may be plenty of pretense availing itself of spurious factoids dressed up to be "scientific") and yet still be a powerful idea for a movement.
What Islam accomplished is an amazing feat: It created a new race of humans, the Muslim, who is superior to all other humans and who has the divine right and mandate to conquer and subjugate all other humans, and to kill those who resist. Mohammed didn't create this idea out of nothing, of course: He took the Judaic idea of the Chosen People and deformed it into the idea of a Master Race, dividing Mankind into two groups, the Believers who are pure, and the Unbelievers who are filthy. Interestingly, scholars have found a similar quasi-theological racism in certain Gnostic writings: e.g., Prof. Michael Williams has written about the concept found in at least five of the Nag Hammadi gnostic texts of an immoveable race to designate insiders as distinguished from outsiders -- with the former, of course, by virtue of their knowledge of the "Truth" being superior to the latter. As with Islam, the Gnostic concept of a superior race was not exclusive: all a person has to do to become an insider is join the insider group. This was the other ingenious mechanism of Islamic racism: with one swordbearing hand, the waves of invading Muslim armies slaughtered and oppressed the people in their path; and with the other hand they extended the "invitation" to join them. And, of course, over the centuries, millions of formerly non-Muslim peoples did join Islam, if only because Islamic subjugation was so oppressive in so many different ways, many people could no longer stand it and succumbed to reversion just to make their lives a little more bearable. And so all these millions of individuals, over the centuries, in the blink of an eye without much of a catechism to go through, uttered the Shahada and transformed themselves from Untermenschen to Herrenmenschen -- a crucial improvement over the kind of racism Hitler preached: for, in Nazism, a Jew or other designated "subhuman" can never cross over and suddenly become equal to the Master Race.

In medieval times, people created fairy tales and magical creatures to make sense of their world. One of the most endearing is the unicorn, a horse with a single horn that symbolized purity and wholesomeness. In our modern times, people in Europe and the United States consider themselves more sophisticated and rational than people from the Middle Ages, but we still create myths, albeit more subtle ones.
Daily we hear reports of violent acts committed by Islamic terrorists on every inhabited continent. We try to wish it away with the myth of the ‘Moderate Muslim’, telling ourselves the Islamic agenda has been’ hijacked’ by a ‘tiny minority of extremists’ and that soon the huge, silent, moderate majority of Muslims will take charge and change things. However, post 9/11 very few authoritative Muslims have condemned terrorist actions. We are still waiting for moderates to stand and deliver, identifying and removing extremist thugs from their mosques and their communities. Waiting for this self-correction is our modern version of unicorn hunting.
Moderate Muslims will not be able to wrest control of the agenda for several reasons. First of all, Mohammed, the Messenger of Allah’s eternal word, was not moderate. In 1933 when the Nazi party took control of Germany it had 2 million members, comprising only three percent of Germany’s sixty-six million citizens. A tiny minority of extremists can control a vast number of moderates, making them irrelevant.

The supposed "uncleanness" or "filth" of non-Muslims (9:28) is one side of a Quranic (and therefore universal) concept in Islam. There is a range in this concept, with the total filth of disbelief and disobedience at one end, and the total purity of unwavering faith and obedience to the command of Allah. Filth is described as a characteristic that non-Muslims have, but Allah adds further filth upon them by way of punishment/stigma for their disbelief and disobedience (10:100; 6:125). Some non-Muslims, such as apostates and idolaters, are deemed more filthy than others, such as Christians, but all of them are to some extent unclean. Muslims are instructed to "purify" themselves by waging jihad in the way of Allah, by doing prayer and other Islamic rituals, by expunging disbelief from their minds, and by avoiding or suppressing the behaviour and words of the disbelievers. Those who refuse to wage jihad in the way of Allah are the "filthy" hypocrites (9:95; 9:125). In da'wa (proselytizing), Muslims are supposedly helping purify the non-Muslims and the society by converting them to Islam.
Quranic terms for filth are najis and rijsa.
Regarding "racism," the jihadist's comments about "white people" are not supported by the Islamic texts, though there is a general tendency there and in Islamic jurisprudence toward Arab supremacy. (If the jihadist in question is a Somalian, he is out of luck here, because numerous sahih hadiths state that Arabs must rule over the others, the Mahdi will be an Arab, and the Quran states that the Arabs who received the Quran were the "best of peoples."). According to Islamic law, the Caliph must be Arab, if possible, and preferably should be descended from Muhammad's tribe. Wherever possible, sermons (kutbas) must be delivered by an Arab speaker in Arabic.
