We are in the process not only of redesigning the site but also of moving it to a new home, and this has entailed, as you may imagine, some technical difficulties. Someone pointed out yesterday that "ironing out the bugs" only made one's iron all sticky, and that is quite so -- lots of unexpected little things come up.
The biggest of these little things is the archives. The Jihad Watch archives are an invaluable and unique resource, as they contain six years of news and commentary on jihad, dhimmitude, apostasy, honor killing, the denial of human rights to women and non-Muslims in Islamic societies, the stealth jihad encroachment of creeping Sharia initiatives in the West, the Islamization of Europe, and much, much more. And as you can see, they're gone. They will be back, however! It could take us up to two weeks to get them fully up and running again, but they will be back -- along with all the user-friendly features of the old site: RSS feeds, print options, email options, etc.
Apologies for the inconvenience, and thanks for your patience.

No apologies needed Sir.
In the meantime, some nice pics to pacify our peaceful Muslim guests:

Cheers Robert.
Another suggestion: I liked how you could access other blog posts at the top of the page and go back or forth. If you can keep that feature on the site, that would be great.
I know you have a lot on with the redesign, but I notice you have a Twitter account.
Here in the UK, every time you add a twitter message, a text gets sent to a subscriber's mobile phone free of charge. This may also apply to the US.
It's all done automatically, and if you added a short note to Twitter when a new article was posted, it would save having to keep logging on to see if there was anything new.
Pamela does it with Atlas Shrugs, so I get a text message as soon as she adds anything.
Robert, The new design is great. I save each thread by sequence number to hard drive, for example (027539.php.htm, but now the sequence numbers have gone.
Robert, The new "look" of your website is great and today must be my day. I received a response from typepad that corrected my snafu with them. However, I will now be known again as "Spot on" and not Nopchere. "Spot on" was my former name with Typepad. They probably would have let me change my name but I didn't want to push my luck.
Robert, the service you provide is invaluable to us all. I love your books.
A little glitch I have found,,,
I have a "stumbleupon" tool bar. I can give the whole site a "thumbs up", but this function is disabled when I try to stumble specific pieces.
Any other "stumblers" out there having similar problems?
And BTW, I think the new site looks great!!
A good thing to remember, Robert, is the Internet Archives. It has a wayback feature that archives EVERYTHING on the internet. And I do mean everything.
OT, but of interest to JW readers (thanks to Jawa Report):
CAIR supervised police interview of Rifqa Bary’s parents

Given that the previous JW site layout was designed by a green lizard - change is good!
My one suggestion/request is that you place a link to Geert Wilders home page near the top of the page so readers can find it and give Wilders their $upport. Now that he has a court date set he will be needing funds for his defense.
dsinc - ah, a soulmate! It's nice to know I'm not the only historian-by-nature obsessive-compulsive 'copy, save and sort' reader of this site, busy recording the Jihadwatch table talk.
Hey - love the new design - its refreshing !!
I'm glad the JW came back to TypePad comments - couldn't use the other one - on anyone's site!!
Jihad Watch has inspired many blogs. But few know more about Islam than Robert Spencer.
The new format is very nice. I do not know another way to ask a question: At the end of most (all?) Friday prayer services at mosques, there is a prayer and/or statement asking for heavenly assistance in degrading or even destroying the kufir. Is this prayer sort of standardized? And could you offer a translation of the prayer?
