Plane stopped from taking off at LAX; two men of "Middle Eastern descent" arrested

Will the Islamophobia never end?

"Jet halted at LAX; two men are removed by police," by Richard Winton for the Los Angeles Times, September 28 (thanks to Undaunted):

A plane was stopped from taking off from Los Angeles International Airport, and two men on board were taken into custody, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

LAPD Lt. John Romero said the men, who appeared to be of Middle Eastern descent, were acting suspiciously.

A law enforcement source said at least one of the men ran into a restroom on the plane and appeared to hide while the New York-bound jet was taxiing on the runway, according to the source, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the case was ongoing.

The flight crew confronted the two men and made the decision to stop the plane before it took off, the source said. The men were taken into custody by heavily armed law enforcement officials.

The plane has been taken to a remote area of the airport to be searched by a bomb squad, sources said.

The LAPD's anti-terrorism unit and the FBI are on the case, but the source said it's too early to tell whether terrorism played any role in the incident....

DHS/TSA via MSM: "Nothing to see here.... Move on you Lookie-Lou's."

Since 20 January 2009 at Noon, it really seems like Officer Barbrady is in charge of our national security.

Kenny Solomon
Locked and loaded with bacon-wrapped rounds.

More probing, more testing, more opportunities to cry 'islamophobia' while researching the enemies resolve.

More of the MSM shrugging and saying "Nothing to see here, no correlation between the cult of islam and death".

When CAIR, et al, pull stunts like this, we would be wise to stop pissing ourselves from fear of accusations of racism or Islamophobia and in stead prosecute these people for terrorism. i.e. for terrorizing a plane full of people.

An encouraging sign of a residue of common sense.

Note: the suspects "appeared to be of Middle Eastern descent". In a rational methodology of profiling, especially with regard to prevention of mass attack, there are different concentric stages. One of them, usually near the very beginning of the process, cannot avoid physiognomy: and physiognomy in turn cannot avoid the massive fact that most Muslims (and particularly most known jihadists) have an undeniable ethnic appearance, however complicated that appearance may be by international multicultural variety and granularization.

"...at least one of the men ran into a restroom on the plane and appeared to hide..."

He'll undoubtedly use the ole, "I have a fear of flying and it gave me the runs", defense. Yeah, right! Sorry, but we'll need to check your boxers just to be sure, dude. O, surprise, there's the bomb! ...whodathunk.

It figures.Where is John Wayne when you need him.I am so sick of Muslims it makes me sick. They are a pain in the ass all over the globe.

More Moslem humor. Hear this Ayatollah Khomeini: there is fun in Islam, even in Dar al-Harb. Just like choosing the dates 9/11 (dial 911) and 7/11 (craps). Tee hee hee.

While nearly all Americans slavishly accept the preposterous proposition that Islam is the Religion of Peace, commercial flight crews not so much.

My girlfriend is a flight attendant for a very large airline. Despite the teachings of Oprah and Ellen and Joy and Ba Ba that she receives every morning from the TV, when she was put through some pretty intense hand-to-hand combat training by the airline it occured to her that maybe Moslems were inherently violent. This was a few years after 9/11.

The airlines had always taught appeasement. They don't teach that anymore. Quite the opposite; they now look to flight attendants to help shield passengers and above all the flight deck.

Praise Allah! I bet he flies around Paradise in a G5! Wonder if his personal pilot is a Moslem.

Off topic: In the last half hour, my Internet Explorer has crashed three times, all apparently due to a second window that opens up automatically which I cannot click to, because as soon as the window appears on my toolbar below, the toolbar has been rendered frozen, and my crash begins. That second window is labeled "Jihad Watch" with a question mark. This is either an annoying bell-&-whistle feature of JW, or some kind of hack attack? Anyone else experiencing this?

Why are these guys never on the plane I'm on?

I never fly without my barbecue pulled-pork sandwich. Think I'm kidding?

If I don't use it on the plane, I may yet need it for the taxi ride.

Picture the hairy-scary jihadi billygoats, cringing, whining, backing up on their hind legs while the cameras flash and the crowd cheers, and Yankel gets his 9 minutes of fame. Maybe 90 minutes of fame. Maybe 9 hours of fame. Robert would be proud.

Nothing like that happening on my browser

All these undesirables should be taken to the Statue of Liberty and given a life jacket and a qiblah indicator and told to swim

Hesperado,

I use Firefox 3.5 as I started having issues with IE.

You may watnt to scan your machine for some infestation just to be on the safe side.

to the one with browser problems.Get good virus protection.Defrag once a month you should be fine.

Hesperado,

I don't have any of those problems. I use Mozilla or Safari.

Just in case the next attempt's made on your flight:

He was on plane with 9/11 hijackers as they rehearsed on Aug. 1st.

Happened again -- fourth crash.

I was using Mozilla before, but since the new JW came up, I cannot highlight & copy-paste text here at JW using Mozilla, only on IE. That's why I went back to IE.

Thanks for the responses above.

Hesp -- I just had my first "Gateway Timeout" message spring up right after posting my last JW comment. Hmm, very odd. But the comment still went through.

champ, that's happened to me several times. It also used to happen a few times under the original JW system pre-IntenseDebate, but it had a different message. Most of this I'm sure is just related to the excessive sophistication & complication built into computer software -- the source of 98% of all computer problems, IMO -- and not any bugs or hacking per se.

Ditto on the 'Gateway Timeout'.

Another ditto on the "Gateway Timeout". It was responsible for the last double posting I made. really!

whach to see if cair gets involed

I just took a look at CNN's homepage. Nowhere is there a mention of domestic terrorism right now--09/28/2009 9:39 EST. Not one single mention of any of the attempted attacks on our homeland. I would very strongly suggest to all who are concerned about the lack of coverage on an issue of such immediate emergency to contact CNN's editors and find out why the lack of coverage?

I would also ask why President "O" was talking about global warming at the UNGA during these events and did not address the more important and urgent problem of continuing attacks and attempts at attacks right here at home?

Hesperado,

First run an anti-virus scan first thing, and then anti-spyware check.

Next, I strongly suggest you use Mozilla's FireFox browser, or Opera browser. (MUCH less susceptible to attack than MS IE)

In FireFox, under tools, you can click "start private browsing".
Do not worry when all your open tags go away, they will come back when you end private browsing--)(To undo private browsing do the same in reverse--tools--end private browsing.

You are blind to the WWW now while using private browsing. See if you can then log in. If that is the case, the problem is IE was attacked. I would use the safer browsers I just recommended in it's stead.

Any other questions, tell Robert to give you my email address and we can talk about it privately.

Regards, Larry

Interesting.

The local media has no mention of anything other than a flight was delayed for 2 hours because a man had to use the bathroom and left it in disarray.

No mention of suspected terrorism, hiding in the bathroom, or suspicious behavior. Sounded like overzealous security at work and a dumb guy that should have stayed in his seat for about an extra 10 minutes.

Looks like another lawsuit for profiling, discrimination, islamophobia, and intense emotional pain and suffering is on the way. Muslims suffer humiliation only when their "honor" is threatened and being arrested by inferiors does not qualify. It's getting scary out there. Complacency is firmly established and the current administration isn't the least bit concerned or interested in potential islamic terror threats. Now that Obama is president, there are no muslim terrorists except in Afghanistan and they aren't actually terrorists, just religious fundamentalists.

I'm sure the muslim Obama named to a high level position in Homeland Security is covering for his brothers and making sure nobody interferes with their nefarious plots. In addition to being another bloated, incompetent federal bureaucracy, Homeland Security is a farce.

Update:
"The passenger got up from his seat about 8:30 a.m. to use the restroom and would not comply with the flight crew's instructions to return to his seat".
The passenger was interviewed in connection with the incident and was cooperative,” she said. “Out of an abundance of caution, the passengers and their carry-on luggage were rescreened and the LAPD bomb unit conducted a precautionary search of the aircraft.

"No criminal charges are anticipated, and the passengers will proceed to their destination later today.”

Initially, the LAPD said two men were taken into custody in the incident.]

I guess the guy had to "pinch a loaf" or two and could not get out of the restroom until he finished his job.

No criminal charges are anticipated...but there will no doubt be a CAIR lawsuit resulting from this incident.
I'm guessing $30,000,000 as they keep raising the ante.

This is probably another "islamophobia" sting operation.Conspicuous Arabs: behave strangely, get ejected , get investigated, are found innocent and then scream "islamophobia".They then initiate law suits and publicity campaigns which make individuals and authorities reluctant to intervene in the future -all of which make terror attacks more possible.
