In FrontPage this morning I discuss the recent increase of aid to Pakistan:
Last Thursday the Senate voted to triple the amount of non-military aid to Pakistan to $1.5 billion annually. The money is supposed to go to build democracy and aid anti-terror efforts. "We should make clear to the people of Pakistan," explained Senator Richard Lugar, "that our interests are focused on democracy, pluralism, stability, and the fight against terrorism. If Pakistan is to break its debilitating cycle of instability, it will need to achieve progress on fighting corruption, delivering government services, and promoting broad based economic growth."
This all sounds great, until one looks at the post-9/11 record of dealings between the United States and Pakistan. Last September, the New York Times reported that "after the attacks of Sept. 11, President Pervez Musharraf threw his lot in with the United States. Pakistan has helped track down Al Qaeda suspects, launched a series of attacks against militants inside the tribal areas -- a new offensive got under way just weeks ago -- and given many assurances of devotion to the antiterrorist cause. For such efforts, Musharraf and the Pakistani government have been paid handsomely, receiving more than $10 billion in American money since 2001." However, "the survival of Pakistan's military and civilian leaders has depended on a double game: assuring the United States that they were vigorously repressing Islamic militants -- and in some cases actually doing so -- while simultaneously tolerating and assisting the same militants."
What has changed in Pakistan since then? Not much. Musharraf is gone, but much of the rest of the Pakistani leadership is the same, and above all, the core attitudes that led to the double game being conducted in the first place have not changed. One fundamental assumption that all too many Pakistani officials hold is that when something goes wrong with society, it is because the people have faltered in their fidelity to Islam, and only renewed religious fervor can solve the problem and restore prosperity to the nation and health to the society. This assumption militates against the idea that any amount of American aid will significantly alter the situation in Pakistan, or lessen popular support for the Islamic jihad of the Taliban and allied groups. For the Americans will always, no matter how much money they lavish upon the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, be infidels. The solution to Pakistan's problems will not be seen as lying with them, but with a renewed commitment to Islam....
It just amazes me how utterly stupid our Congress is. I could have told them that more aid to this pathetic country won't work. I don't hold any credentials in politics either. All we are doing is funding their government sponsered jihadists to fight against such countries as India. Well, all of the Western countries since we find many of these Jihadists in our own Western countries.
The stoooopidity of our politicians is neverending!
The only money we should spend is to have the entire region modified into a septic tank, making sure all the man-hole covers are welded shut.
If Pakistan can afford a nuclear bomb program, they don't need any infusion of infidel money, since they clearly already have too much cash to waste already.
Unless they want to sell us their nukes.
"Anyone who believes that the House of Islam can easily be secularized needs their head examined"
By playing with their house of cards the western powers are doomed to collapse. The west should cut off all strategic/financial deals with the Islamic world. Pakistan is playing their games, Iran plays theirs, Afghanistan was the "ante-in" that Osama bin Laden was looking for. It has been and continues to be a huge chess match, we are running out of knights, bishops and castles and our queen is cornered by their pawns.
"All warfare is based on deception.
Hence, when able to attack, we must seem unable;
when using our forces, we must seem inactive; when we
are near, we must make the enemy believe we are far
away;
when far away, we must make him believe we are near" Sun Tsu, The Art of War
con'td...
"we are running out of knights, bishops and castles and our queen is cornered by their pawns" so she just sits there and does nothing while the battle wages on.
Their knights have positioned themselves within our guards(stealth jihadists)and just exhausting our energies(at home) as we concentrate on their strategies. Meanwhile, their queen moves all over the board terrorizing and knocking off our pawns left and right, weakening our defences by leading them far from where they should be, guarding the king(homeland).
And their bishops(the clerics) have their eyes on the prize...capitulation, and eventual submission to Islamic shari'ah law.
Who is winning the game while Brown, Obama and the others fiddle around at G-20 summits?
Our troops are dying. Stealth jihad is creeping up all around us.
We are paying the jizya and getting little protection.
A new day is about to dawn. Who will be the winner is anyone's guess. But they cannot let Israel, the key player in this match, to be scattered into the weeds by the path by letting Iran and Pakistan continue with this deceptive play using delaying tactics.
Deception and financial gain in Islam...
Qur'an 4:94 "Believers, when you go abroad to fight wars in Allah's Cause, investigate carefully, and say not to anyone who greets you: 'You are not a believer!' Coveting the chance profits of this life (so that you may despoil him). With Allah are plenteous spoils and booty."
Ishaq:312 "The Prophet said, 'Abbas, you must ransom yourself, your two nephews, Aqil and Nawfal, and your confederate, Utbah, for you are a wealthy man.' 'Muhammad,' Abbas said, 'I was a Muslim, but the people compelled me to fight against my will.' Allah knows best concerning your Islam,' Muhammad said. 'As for your outward appearance, you have been against us, so pay to ransom yourself.' The Messenger had previously taken twenty ounces of gold from him following the battle. So Abbas said, 'Credit me with this amount towards my ransom.' 'No,' Muhammad replied. 'That money Allah has already taken from you and given to us.'"
Ahh, so that was the sucking sound I heard last Thursday. Pakistan = Money pit.
R_not,
Sorry to burst the 'stoooopidity of our politicians' bubble but has it occurred to Americans that their politicians are playing them for fools? How come Gulf War I starts when Kuwait / Al-Sabahs were de-throned and ends when Al-Sabahs were re-instated? How come Gulf War II starts when Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11 or with WMDs? Of the thousands of American lives sacrificed, billions of US tax-dollars wasted, yes, wasted on Iraq, the beneficiaries are the 'friends and family' of the 'stoooopidity of our politicians' politicians? How come Clinton, after having got votes from Americans, sold the children of the same voters, to Islam: http://www.blessedcause.org/clinton.htm
How come, on 9/17, POTUS, instead of holding Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan (the countries from where 9/11 terrorists came from), slaps America with this: http://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeches/gwbush911islamispeace.htm
How come, although 9/11 being a muslim attack on USA, Bush's allies were the same terrorists his 'war-on-terror' was suppose to fight? Is it possible that Bush knew all along that his 'faily and friends' were behind 9/11 and yet, because he was raised on petro-dollars, lied to the voters/tax-payers?
How come, every election year, INS (now DHS) issues maximum green-cards/citizenships?
Think twice before giving smooth-talking, lying and cheating politicians the benefit of 'stoooopidity'.
