Faleh Hassan Almaleki is still at large. This story doesn't add much to what we already know, but it does typify the lengths to which the mainstream media will go in order to avoid saying anything negative about Islam. The "Iraqi values" that involve honor killings are shared, judging from recent cases, by Egyptians, Jordanians, Syrians, and Pakistanis. What do all those groups have in common? Hmmm, I can't think of anything! Of course, none of this could have anything to do with the fact that a father who kills his child incurs no penalty under Islamic law. A manual of Islamic law certified by Al-Azhar as a reliable guide to Sunni orthodoxy says that "retaliation is obligatory against anyone who kills a human being purely intentionally and without right." However, "not subject to retaliation" is "a father or mother (or their fathers or mothers) for killing their offspring, or offspring's offspring." ('Umdat al-Salik o1.1-2).
In other words, someone who kills his child incurs no legal penalty under Islamic law. In accord with this, in 2003 the Jordanian Parliament voted down on Islamic grounds a provision designed to stiffen penalties for honor killings. Al-Jazeera reported that "Islamists and conservatives said the laws violated religious traditions and would destroy families and values."

Peoria police continued Thursday to look for a Glendale man of Iraqi descent who is alleged to have run over his daughter and another woman in a Peoria parking lot Tuesday.Faleh Hassan Almaleki, 48, is accused of striking his daughter Noor Almaleki, 20, sending her to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries. Police said her condition had not changed Thursday.
The other woman struck was Amal Edan Khalaf, 43, who was less severely hurt....
A police spokesman said Tuesday that the father reportedly was upset that his daughter had become too Westernized and was rejecting traditional Iraqi values.
Faleh Almaleki was driving a grey or silver 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Arizona license plate ADS-9192. Anyone with information should call Silent Witness or the Peoria Police Tip Line at 623-773-7045.
"Iraqi values" - actually means "Islamic values". Just another oxymoron.
If this morbidly-obese thing is caught, will CAIR, the HuffingtonPost and Michael Kruse swear by its (not his) innocence? The question is who is hiding him? If Faleh Almaleki can afford a late model Jeep Grand Cherokee, he is not hurting for cash. What did he do for a living? I have a feeling that Faleh Almaleki will find a way to escape the area, if not the country.

Brand new, and expensive. So whatever else is causing Faleh Almaleki to try to kill his daughter, his mental distress is not the result of poverty. And one wonders just how -- if that car is his -- he has managed to do so well. Perhaps he bears looking into, from every angle.

'Honor killings' happen because Allah wills it...If Allah did not will it, honor killings would not occur...A submitting 'honor killer' is fulfilling his obligation to Allah, which takes precedence over everything in the life of the submitter...Those not fulfilling these obligations lose honor in the eyes of the tribe...and even worse Allah...Losing honor in the eyes of Allah is a fearful proposition in Islam...All pious Mahoundians want to get into paradise...pzzing Allah off greatly reduces the chances...

So exactly why was this man give permission to come into the US? People get up in arms over domestic jihad terrorism, honor killings, and other evils, yet no one says anything about restricting Muslim immigration to the US which would keep out (or at least minimize) such practices in the US.
