Part of a Hamas support network in the U.S. "DOJ Should Show Congress Damning Evidence on CAIR, Reps Say," from IPT News, October 23:
Internal documents from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) show that the group actively tries to place interns in congressional offices and that the group specifically wants to influence policy coming out of committees on the judiciary, homeland security and intelligence.
These disclosures, in the book Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld That's Conspiring to Islamize America, prompted four House Republicans to ask Sergeant at Arms Wilson Livingood to investigate whether CAIR has successfully placed interns in offices tied to those committees.
Disclosures in Muslim Mafia came in part from documents and undercover recordings by one of the author's sons, who posed as a Muslim and worked at CAIR as an intern under an assumed name. In addition to detailing the organization's political goals, the book offers examples of how CAIR seeks to impede terrorism-related law enforcement investigations and mislead the public about its stature.
Critics have accused the representatives of waging a witch-hunt for Muslim staffers on Capitol Hill. Their remarks, however, have focused on CAIR's role in placing interns, noting evidence from the successful prosecution of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development that placed CAIR's founders in the midst of a secret Hamas-support network in the United States.
On that point, Representatives Sue Myrick (NC) Trent Franks (AZ) Paul Broun (GA) and John Shadegg (AZ) wrote to Attorney General Eric Holder, asking that he "provide each Member of Congress a summary of the evidence and findings by the DOJ and FBI which led them to name CAIR an unindicted co-conspirator in a terrorism trial."
Both letters note that the HLF evidence, and the questions it raises about CAIR, prompted the FBI to cut off communication with CAIR that isn't tied to a criminal investigation....

But, I'm not sure if this is the biggest smoking gun that should be investigated as a result of the revelations in the book. I mean, this one is easy to make fun of, as Rachel Maddow just did - "Oh no! Interning while Muslim. The horror!" (Posted by CAIRtv to YouTube)
Other revelations about CAIR's foreign funding, ties to and support of terror groups, and other "big picture" items should be investigated sooner. This one seems weak; I mean, many organizations try to place interns, don't they? This just gives more ammunition to the left, and they can ignore the sky falling because this, in many ways, is easily dismissed and mocked, and the more serious allegations will be ignored or summarily dismissed.

You may have a point, Bad Mo Foe, but Rachel Maddow is your classic leftist who would make fun of anything that attempted to expose Islamic supremacist designs. Though she has a doctorate form Oxford University, she is your classic example of a well educated fool. She also has no idea what would be in store for her as the lesbian which she is were Islam to become predominant in America.

That's not to say we shouldn't investigate--far from it--but just that the left will spin this like they spun the so-called "McCarthy era." The left prefers to conjure up American demons rather than confronting true Communist or jihadist demons.

Therein may be a problem...Eric Holder. Anyone want to make a bet on whether he will actually respond to the request, or dither and manage to bury it one way or another? Anyone? (For our non-American readers, Eric Holder is the Obama-appointed Attorney General in charge of the Department of Justice, which would be the agency charged with investigating and prosecuting cases such as this.)
Still, although I won't be holding my breath for anything to come of this, it's still good to see it aired. It will also be interesting to see who steps forward to defend CAIR. Wanna make a side bet on whether Obama is one of them?

It wouldn't surprise me a bit to see an investigation of CAIR treated like the Black Panther voter intimidation incident and the ACORN fiasco. ACORN's funding will return to former levels in a few days; it was never completely stopped. But the corrupt liars in Congress led the American people to believe that they had been completely cut off. CAIR has been damaged but I doubt if they will be indicted and tried. The leftists will use their standard tactics---racism, islamophobia, discrimination, blah, blah, blah. If only the fools knew what they were defending.
We're screwed with this administration and the state run news media. I can't stand Rush Limbaugh; Glenn Beck is whacky; Neal Boortz is a crotchety, rude old coot, and Fox News ain't what it used to be but if you want to know what's going on, they'll tell you. So I have put personalities and BS aside; the American news media are worthless if you want to be informed. The internet, talk radio, and Fox are the only places you'll find the uncensored, unedited truth and that's why Obama is desperately trying to shut them all down.
