A complaint filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Detroit names Luqman Ameen Abullah, imam of the Masjid Al-Haqq mosque in Detroit, as "a highly placed leader of a nationwide radical fundamentalist Sunni group." He was killed in the raid, according to a joint statement by federal officials.
More than three people were arrested on charges including conspiracy to commit federal crimes, receipt of stolen goods, providing firearms to felons and changing vehicle identification numbers, said Special Agent Sandra Berchtold, a spokeswoman for the FBI in Detroit. Berchtold also confirmed that an FBI dog was shot and killed in one of the raids.
The operation involved locations in Detroit and Dearborn.
Yellow police tape was put up outside a trucking and warehouse firm on Miller Road just north of Michigan Avenue, and a Dearborn police car was parked outside.
Another site involved in the raids was on Tireman near Interstate 96 on the city's west side.

What is going on here? We've had more than a few high profile arrests, raids and crack downs on jihadists in the past months. Going on the current US administration's appeasement stance one would assume this is not coming from the top but I'm beginning to wonder. Is big-o cleverer than we think? Smile and then deliver the sucker punch or is this simply previous administration policies beginning to bear fruit?

I think the FBI has been doing a commendable job on the local terrorist front. President Bush literally doubled the size of the FBI shortly after 9-11 and his Attorney General made sure that all agencies began to talk to each other along with the introduction of the Patriot Act that the libs continuously tried to suppress. I believe without these changes we would be in serious trouble in fighting terrorism within our US Borders.
It's nice to see the FBI on the case. I wonder if they have other such investigations ongoing? They had better stay armed and ready. I suspect that this is not going to be the last one.

Reading through the criminal complaint one gets a very troubling picture of this group. They had no qualms in trafficking in petty crime, all of which they justified via Islam, and it is clear that they had a desire to wage jihad against the United States. It is good that the FBI busted these thugs when they did as they stood a good chance of moving on from petty theft and fraud onto actual jihad terrorism.

Dearborn Michigan, America's muslim capitol where 1/3 of the population is of arab decent and speak arabic as their first language. Dearborn has the largest shi'a mosque in North America and another huge sunni mosque. The more mosques in the neighborhood the more trouble one should expect. It's really very simple: the more muslims there are, the more threats and terrorist activities there will be. Fewer muslims means less threats and terrorist activities. It's been shown time and again all over Europe and America is next. I'm glad to live in a city almost the same size as Dearborn but it's much safer here... no mosques.
