I just can't believe that question can even be asked when, in fact, it isn't Geert making the connection but the very people carrying out these heinous acts. I'm baffled that people attack the messenger of the connection and not the people actually making the connection. What part of 'allahu akbar' don't people get when the islamists are carrying out these attacks and are surely encouraged to do by their upbringing in islamic communities. Day in and day out, the imams quote koranic verses to justify these attacks and even encourage this behavior. It is assinine not to make the connection and realize there is something seriously wrong with islam and the message people are receiving from it. Once again, I just don't get it and never will I guess. Unfortunately, there are people who wander this planet oblivious to the reality we've been witnessing for centuries...it really doesn't bode well for the human race.

It is interesting and heartening to note, when looking at comments on the Times of London and other British news sites, that, although the bias of the reporters comes through (refering to Wilders as "far right" and "extremist" etc.), over the last year and a half, the vast majority of the commenters are not buying it.I see a surge of support for him, and an increasing disgust with the Islamists which would not have existed 3 or 4 years ago.Maybe there is hope!
Throughout these clips, Wilders, Pearson, and the reporters are all repeating variations of the mantra that the majority of Muslims (or even "the vast majority," and "98%," etc.) are moderate, peace-loving, etc. While it is true that the percentage of Muslims presently physically engaged in violence for the cause of Islam is small, polls and surveys also show that disturbingly high percentages of Muslims at least morally support such violence to defend or promote Islam. In addition, polls and surveys indicate that the majority of Muslims worldwide want sharia law to be imposed, and sharia is extensively violent toward non-Muslims under a wide range of everyday circumstances. The majority (61%) of Muslims in the U.K. want sharia courts, and 68% to 78% of U.K. Muslims want critics of Islam to be criminally prosecuted and punished. By these important indicators, the majority of Muslims are not moderate.
The idea that most Muslims (in the West) are moderate just because they aren't presently engaged in rioting or setting off deadly explosions is absurd, and is contradicted by extensive evidence that the majority of Muslims want sharia, and that only a very small percentage of them strongly opposes sharia.
The British, Dutch and any other county that has a Muslim population must figure out some way to have them assimilate into the culture of the country. This is the current debate. Can these followers of allah be convinced/forced to assimilate? The only way I can see that happening is to abandon Islam as it exist today. Unfortunately this has to be addressed at a spiritual level to counter the perceived values that Muslims see in Islam. And most western countries have abandoned their spiritual roots and have nothing to offer.
My bias is that Christianity is vastly superior to Islam and offers the only hope of assimilating these people into the world culture.
A very English warm welcome awaits Mr. Gilders from me. I think he is a very courageous gentleman and just looking at the scum waving their vile and evil banners should be obvious to all concerned who the perpetrators of violence are. They should be rounded up and deported forthwith as they obviously do not like living in the West and they are the ones inciting hatred, not Mr. Gilders who is telling the truth that our politicians do not want to hear. Have no fear all those of you outside of Europe, we are waking up to the devil within and they will never succeed. It's overdue that our voices are heard and the next general election will prove very interesting.
