Four House Republicans are accusing a Muslim advocacy group of trying to plant spies on Capitol Hill.
Republican members of the Congressional Anti-Terrorism Caucus said the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) have tried to plant "spies" within key national-security committees in order to shape legislative policy.
Reps. Sue Myrick (R-N.C.), John Shadegg (R-Ariz.), Paul Broun (R-Ga.) and Trent Franks (R-Ariz.), citing the book Muslim Mafia: Inside the Secret Underworld that's Conspiring to Islamize America, called for the House sergeant at arms to investigate whether CAIR had been successful in placing interns on key panels. The lawmakers are specifically focused on the House Homeland Security Committee, Intelligence Committee and Judiciary Committee.
"If an organization is connected to or supports terrorists [and] is running influence operations or planting spies in key national security-related offices, I think this needs to be made known," said Broun, who sits on the Homeland Security Committee. "So I join my colleagues here today in calling for action."...

CAIR and America have nothing of substance in common. The former stands for all the repression and close-mindedness that attend the Islamic faith. The latter, a la Abraham Lincoln, represents the "last, best hope of mankind." A greater contrast could not be found anywhere. Kudos to the four Republicans who understand what is really going on. This is important because CAIR has long been infiltrating our law enforcement agencies and using "sensitivity training, Muslim style" to intimidate police and FBI agents into not doing their jobs. You're probably right but Obama's tainted czars and other very dubious connections are beginning to pile up and he will eventually have to explain why he surrounds himself with radical communists, Marxists, islamists, and revolutionaries. If nothing else, the negative publicity generated by the book might keep the jackals at CAIR so busy that they won't have time to pursue their ususal agenda---the subversion of our government, frivilous litigation, demonizing talk show hosts, etc. I hope every one of the terrorists in CAIR are imprisoned or deported, the sooner the better. I agree with Ice Star and I have asked the same rhetorical question many times: why does such a small segment of our population require hundreds of "civil rights" and advocacy groups to represent their interests? Muslims participate in mainstream society only when absolutely necessary---to work, attend school or college, and to exploit our welfare system. They also participate in endless litigation against employers, schools, airlines, and anyone else they can squeeze money from. CAIR is always right there to help and encourage litigation.
