Milan, 12 October (AKI) - An Italian soldier was injured on Monday after a Libyan man exploded a bomb hidden inside a toolbox at the entrance of the 'Santa Barbara' military barracks in the northern Italian city of Milan.
The 35 year-old Libyan tried to enter to enter the barracks at the same time a military vehicle was entering the gate. However, his car was stopped by a military guard.
The man then detonated a bomb. Some reports said he shouted: "The army must leave Afghanistan!"
The toolbox where the man hid the explosive device contained two more kilogrammes of explosives, and according to reports, it only partially detonated.
The injured Italian soldier was hit by ricochet splinters and received medical treatment on-site. The attack took place at 7:45am local time. Following the attack, the Libyan was taken to the Fatebenefratelli hospital in Milan where he is in critical condition.
The Libyan man suffered severe injuries to his face and eyesight and his hand has been amputated, according to medical sources at Fatebenefratelli hospital....
The man has been living in Italy for many years and lives with an Italian woman with whom he has three children, sources said....

That was a typo, they misspelled "Violence [against infidels] is always COMMENDABLE".
The poor Libyan guy injured himself and had his hand amputated. Italy will probably release him for time served. Pres. Ghaddafi, King of Kings (pbuh), will prepare a hero's welcome in Libya.

Maybe the boys at ADNKRONOS should crack a damned book prior to approaching the keyboard again. Doing that just might render them less irresponsible and less damaging.
The word "barracks" is misleading. In the Italian context,These barracks, this caserma, is unlikely to be either well-guarded or heavily fortified.

If the casernas are not well-guarded then the borders should be. Throw out any and all jihadists from Italy and make sure the soldiers have a loaded gun at all times, including when they sleep.
Naturally there should be several soldiers doing guard duty at any given time..
PS. I hope the jihadist dies from "complicazioni".. maybe the good Italian doctors can see to that..?

Of course the jihad context of this attack will never be seriously discussed by the media. Instead we will be treated to the usual round of excuses about poverty and racial discrimination driving this poor, Libyan immigrant to desperation.
Meanwhile, Lebanese-"American" Muslim Naji Hamdan was convicted on jihad terrorism related charges in the UAE.
Both of these cases again raise questions about the wisdom of allowing so many Muslims into Western countries.

In what way is this *an attempted* terror attack? A victim was injured, and the perpetrator took out part of his own face, damaged his eyesight, and amputated his own hand.
This *was a terror attack*. Just because it was not as murderous as the bomber hoped--and just because the bomber can't claim his 72 virgins yet--is just a lucky accident, and an indication of the bomber's ineptitude.
There have been quite a number of plots against military barracks in the West--Fort Dix in the US, a number of plots in Britain and--I believe--Germany. Is this the first attack actually carried out? Does anyone here know? If so, I fear it will be the first of many.
As to the weasely Muslim "condemnation" of this Jihad attack, it is not only weak, it *is equivocal*. "Violence is always condemnable"--what violence?--the violence of Italian troops in Afghanistan, or the violence of a would-be homicide bomber?
As to the Italian army in Afghanistan, it numbers just 2000 troops, with a promise--not yet realized, I believe, to send 800 more at some point. Italian troops labor under severe NATO restrictions, and seldom perform in a full military capacity.
Not that any of this matters to Jihadists. The mere presence of "crusaders" in Afghanistan is enough to trigger a murderous response.

Suppose a non-Muslim from a non-Muslim minority group had tried to explode something at the door of a Mosque, or at the gate of a military barracks or a police station, in a majority-Muslim country. A Coptic father, say, in Egypt, driven beyond all rational endurance by some grave crime such as the Muslim kidnap and rape and 'conversion to Islam' of his minor daughter, and by the stonyhearted complicity of the Muslim authorities in such wickedness.
What do you think would have happened to him, if he failed in the attempt and was gravely injured, as this Muslim man was?
Do you think our hypothetical Infidel attacker of Muslims in a Muslim country would have been scooped up and rushed off to hospital - by Muslims - and there decently tended, despite his multiply-witnessed crime?
Or do you, rather, think that he would most likely have been torn limb from limb, right there on the spot, by a howling mob?

Add Australia to your list. Not so long ago a bunch of Muslim jihadis were caught plotting to attack the Holsworthy Army Base in Sydney, NSW.
(The really creepy thing about it is that some of the 'security' guards employed at that base, and at other places such as the Glenbrook air force base, were...Muslims. Muslims who had attended a 'training' school for security guards, which school, at least partly run by a Muslim, one Ahmed Moosani, was basically bogus. All the newspaper reports saw the guards' *lack of proper training* as shocking...but nobody saw, or at least, nobody *mentioned*, the flaming obvious, which is that a Muslim 'security guard' for an army base might quite probably be a 'plant', all ready to open the gate wide and wave the bros right on through when they show up to carry out a jihad raid.)

I'd guess that the resultant public rending and burning of the body would have been received as a just and islamic response to kufr aggression.
Those Godless infidels treating this martyr should show some respect for his beliefs and traditions. The proper treatment for and amputated hand as after a sharia endorsed amputation is to give the stump a quick dip into very hot oil, cauterizes the wound immediately. If the poor martyr is still feeling a bit under the weather after this, there is nothing like camel urine and dried lizards to cure anything and everything. This wonderful cure-all, the lizard, was one of Abdul Azziz's main reasons for invading Mecca as the Shariff insisted in retaining an absolute monopoly of its sale.
There haven't been any plots against barracks or military basis in Germany yet. But some sorts of attacks are expected on a daily basis, the question is only when and where. THere were threats against the Oktoberfest in Munich, nothing happened so far. And there were also threats for last Sunday. We have to wait and see.

I had not heard about the Jihad plot against Holsworthy Army Base in Australia, but it--sadly--does not surprise me. What does surprise me--and sets off alarm bells--is that the base employed *Muslim security guards*.
Talk about the fox guarding the henhouse--this is completely suicidal! I don't know how the plot was stopped, but I would be rather surprised if any of the "security guards" were instrumental in its foiling.

Not a German base, per se, true. But Ramstein is certainly a base *in Germany*, and I would imagine it has a lot of German support staff. Very disturbing.
Dear Graveimage, you're right. I had forgotten about Ramstein. It's true U.S. military bases have already been targeted. The foiled plot of the Sauerland group was also against American facilities, they wanted to kill as many Americans as possible, but fortunately it was foiled.

Does the ideology of Islam factor into this at all? If it does then I hope the Italian media takes a bit of time to examine Islamic dogma and educate the people about the Barbarians within the gates.
