UPDATE: The man who has been arrested is indeed Tarek Mehanna. He is charged with plotting jihad terror attacks against U.S. shopping malls.
"Prosecutors would not immediately say if the man was Tarek Mehanna, who was arrested in November 2008 for allegedly lying to authorities about the whereabouts of a man who trained with al-Qaida members with the goal of overthrowing the Somali government."

OT - People, the self-loathing morons at Temple U hurled insults at Geert Wilders last night. I really could weep just from reading this utter and complete stupidity:

Pretty sad, darcy, but common on the typical US campus. Still, "the dogs bark, but the caravan passes".
"A Massachusetts man has been arrested on federal terrorism-related charges for allegedly planning attacks inside and outside the United States.
"The man was not immediately identified."
I guess we are in a War against Men. Or perhaps Joe Biden can convene a Commission to narrow that down to a War against Massachusetts Men.
Reporters, observers and analysts of Islamic terrorism remind me of the Ms. Swan character on the comedy show MAD TV who, when questioned by the police about a burglar would only say, "Okay, i teh yu evryteen..." Pause. "He look-a like-a man." The policeman, patient at first, would ask for clarification, something more tangible to go by. "What did he look like?"
"Ah, okay okay, I teh you... He look-a like-a man."
This would go on and on until the policeman would become quite exasperated with her.
And this same bullshit about avoiding the M word and the I when Muslims say and do outrageous things because of Islam -- and all this pretending like we can't see the Camel in the Room -- has been going on and on for years, and we few who are capable of it, are becoming exasperated.
The name "Sudbury" may make some think of Thoreau's account of his week's travel on the Sudbury and Assabet Rivers (two tributaries of the Concord River); others will think of the eponymous well-off town near Concord. Few would think of Muslims or of their natural subset, Muslim terrorists, but by now, apparently, the movements of both throughout the Western world are capillary.
tanstaafl - you saw in the column that the Feminist group on campus was defending the Muslims (and by extension, Islam)? The Feminist group. Unbelievable.
I'm still reading the just-out Wafa Sultan book, "A God Who Hates." On page 135 she says, "The status of women in Muslim countries is a human catastrophe that the world has ignored for centuries." Apparently these "feminists" at Temple are still ignoring. I realize that they are just stupid and ignorant know-nothing kiddies, but still it's depressing.
I'm really living in some kind of parallel universe - I can't make sense of what's going on in my own. We're definitely down the rabbit hole, and the Mad Hatter rules.
He was fwamed...I tell ya. No muslims Abbie knows speak or do these things...it's all a setup I tell ya. muslims just don't do these things....why we always picking on these poor muslims? Back to reality...thank GOD we really don't have too many here (yet) so we can keep an eye on all of them. It's got to be tough being a terrorist in the states these days. Oh how the soft jihadis wish they could turn back the clock before 911 when they could get away with the crap they have like cair. I'm so happy that people have chosen to become more aware about the dangers of islam (albeit slowly) and I think the wool is slowly rising above the eyes. muslims are simply the best at waking people up to the horrors of islam. Way to go, Ba'rothers.
I've been writing about mall shooters at my blog for quite a while. Links up the page here.
Spike TV has a great video on what to do in a mall shooting: http://www.spike.com/video/shopping-day/3266183
