Well, obviously, the poster had something quite benign in mind--like a peaceful Christian, Jewish, or Buddhist pray-in.

What is there to debate? Everyone knows the Muslim position on homosexuality. It is to kill them. The only debate would be how high a building to throw them off of or how long to torture them before doing so.

Another thing to remember about Muslims: homosexual sex is rampant throughout Muslim societies (mostly of the abusive kind, often tantamount to, if not flagrantly, rapes and gang-rapes); and yet they have a fanatically puritanical hatred of homosexuality. Should that surprise us that Muslims are psychotically, grotesquely conflicted in this way, when they are so in so many other ways?
Traditionally gay people have been on the left. And that has meant supporting anti-racist, pro-women, pro-gay issues.

We're really not scared by a few jibes at homosexuality in islam and islamic countries. We know there is plenty of hypocrisy among all straight people when it comes to their secret homosexual jaunts (prisons are full of men fucking men, and the lady boys of Thailand love to talk about the straight men who come to them to be sodomized).
We know that muslims are just as hypocritical. In the past 20 years I've had two long term relationships with practicing muslims, and I've had sex with muslims in arabic countries. One of the most foolish gay men I know went to live in Saudia Arabia because it is so easy to have casual sex with men there. I'm waiting to hear about him being caught and flogged or executed. He must get a kick out of the danger.
One thing you need to realise, is that the actual number of gay people is quite small (less than 1 in 100). So don't expect to see a lot of gay people involved in the anti-islam-pro-freedom movement just yet. That Bawer is one of the leading lights is a good sign.
