The charges clearly read that this Iman and his followers were bent on violent jihad (lower Jihad) sooner or later after a 2 year investigation.

I’ve said it so often before. It is the actions of today that define the truths of character. These muslims perpetuated a truth so many other muslims will only dismiss as actions being out of character. So, just what is the actual character of the muslim community vis a vis the entire community of which they live in, be it anywhere in the west? I agree with you that no weakness should be shown.

But, as a pretty well-trained former police officer who's led many raids on worse bad guys than this clown, I can say that police tactical imperative is: speed, audacity, and overwhelming force.

They don't go in to cause an escalation of violence but to avoid it, if possible. They can't stomp someone for breaking a camera.
