Never mind that Germany is in Afghanistan in the first place as part of NATO, and in response to the 9/11 attacks by al-Qaeda's jihadists. Aside from that, the threat is unusually specific -- either spoken in extreme confidence that an attack will go forward, or intended to divert authorities' time and energy and create a distraction from other jihadist operations.

Dubai, 5 Oct. (AKI) - A message purportedly by Al-Qaeda, and threatening terror attacks against Germany this month has been posted to the the jihadist 'al-Fallujah' website. The message, signed by 'Mourabitton' appears prominently on the website with a banner headline and appears alongside videos from Osama Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda's number-two Ayman Al-Zawahiri. It follows several recent video threats against the country released by Al-Qaeda's production arm As-Sahab.
"To the German nation of unbelievers, we warn you for the third time, telling you of the exact date of the attack," wrote 'Mourabittoun', which means 'forward base fighter' in Arabic.
The message warns the attack will take place on one of the first Sundays in October. "That is a day of rest for you and for those who observe your religion," the message read.
"To Muslims in Germany and abroad, we say: peace be with you," the message states.
"After the election, we say to the unbeliever, Crusader German nation, may poison spill upon you and those who want war!"
Chancellor Angela Merkel's ruling Christian Democrats won Germany's general election on 27 September.
Several videos emerged ahead of the elections threatening Al-Qaeda attacks within Germany.
Those videos, made by As-Sahab, warned of an impending attack within two weeks of the elections if Germany's 4,000 troops were not withdrawn from Afghanistan.
"The world still remembers New York, Washington's black Tuesdays just as it recalls London's black Thursday... You, however, are more fortunate, because you can choose and have chosen blood and destruction," read the message by 'Mourabittoun'.
"That's why we have decided to give you what we already gave Madrid and London," the message added.
"We just need to choose the city. Will it be Berlin's turn? Or will this honour be awarded to another city such as Bonn, Frankfurt or Hamburg?" it asks.
"Angela Merkel, you have certainly drunk from the cup of victory. And you will drink again, but what you drink will have a different taste, because it will be the blood of your people, who voted for you and chose war."
'Mourabittoun' calls on jihadists to spread the message across the Internet "to inform Germany's population".
Some jihadist website users have claimed 'Mourabittoun' is an Al-Qaeda sympathiser who in May last year posted a video to the currently disabled 'Ekhlas' extremist site threatening the US with a nuclear attack....

A tipping point will be reached after a certain number of attacks on western cities. The climate will change, and the West will finally get serious. Muslims have started a fight they will lose.

Germany needs to prepare for being targeted as any other European/Western country. The Germans used to live in a dream world. This is a clarrion call. They need to learn that they can't play around like fools and pretend to be the paragons of democracy, the guardians of freedom, the usual crap. But unfortunately they're way behind. No real insight into the past. Regrets yes, but no real understanding of the ramifications.
I only hope that it means, we're fighting Islamofascism, right now.
Europeans will be in a state of denial until the elites wake up to the threats that muslims pose within European borders.
The EU which likes to meddle in Israeli matters such as the border fence, will be mostly likely thinking of ways of keeping out those pesky islamists within their mists.

I would guess your comment was deleted because Jihad Watch officially believes that most Muslims are harmless and should be treated with, at the least, legal respect (in consonsance with our Western laws). Closing down all mosques would thus be treating all Muslims as our enemy, and Spencer and apparently his colleagues Marisol and Hugh, do not believe all Muslims are our enemy and apparently furthermore believe that statements published here that too brusquely promote such a belief ought to be deleted. I think, however, if you leavened your statement with a little "padding" in the right places, they'd allow it.
Have German Muslims expressed their fears of a backlash after the coming attacks, yet?
I'll believe it when I see it. My experience is that Muslims prefer sneak attacks on civilians without warning.

Sounds like a chemical weapons attack.
But the threats are bluster most of the time. A strange miasma of hot air and lies pours out in all these Islamic threats, like some noxious vapor from a snake. The object is to create fear and submission to Islamic supremacy.
I suspect the most effective, pragmatic way of changing the situation is through loving efforts to convert Muslims to other religions, particularly to Christianity. (See, for example, www.answeringmuslims.com., or, if you speak Arabic, Father Zakaria Botros' broadcasts, which apparently are having a significant effect in the Muslim world.) But there are those, like Bill Warner at the Center for the Study of Political Islam, who say we shouldn't concern ourselves with changing Muslims; we should focus on educating the non-Muslim world about the totalitarian threat of Islam. No doubt many approaches are needed.

If Western countries hadn't allowed the savages in there would have never been a threat. Good for Germany that their voters didn't pull a Spain, instead they stood up to the jihadists and voted for Germany's interests, which includes curbing moslem "immigration" and bolstering national defense.
All countries need the means for meaningful retaliation should an islamic country or terrorist entity dare launch an attack.
