Putin sides with the Iranian jihad, warns against sanctions and "intimidating Iran"

We have frequently criticized Putin's Russia for its short-sighted and self-serving eagerness to aid the global jihad, but seldom has even Putin sided with the jihad so openly and wholeheartedly as this.

"There is no need to frighten the Iranians," he says, bizarrely. Yes, the poor little Iranian lambs, so they've uttered a few genocidal threats against Israel, but there's no need to frighten the poor dears!

"Russia's Putin warns against intimidating Iran," by Darya Korsunskaya for Reuters, October 14 (thanks to James):

BEIJING (Reuters) - Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin warned major powers on Wednesday against intimidating Iran and said talk of sanctions against the Islamic Republic over its nuclear programme was "premature".

Putin, who many diplomats, analysts, and Russian citizens believe is still Russia's paramount leader despite stepping down as president last year, was speaking after U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited Moscow for two days of talks.

"There is no need to frighten the Iranians," Putin told reporters in Beijing after a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.

"We need to look for a compromise. If a compromise is not found, and the discussions end in a fiasco, then we will see."

"And if now, before making any steps (towards holding talks) we start announcing some sanctions, then we won't be creating favourable conditions for them (talks) to end positively. This is why it is premature to talk about this now."...

Putin should be given the Nobel Peace Prize, along with Obama.
There both liars

In the uneasy economic times that had up until recently emboldened the new Russia, seems it is now feeling the pinch of the times, and oil rich nations not under the western sphere of arms-sales influence are great potential customers. I’m still not convinced Russia won’t sell S-300s to Iran. This little tip of the hat to a potential buyer ensures Russia’s arms industry, and its’ investors, can feel a little more secure. We’re about due for another war between the evil forces of islam in the ME where Dar al-Islam uses up its’ old Soviet and Chinese stocks against Israel so that the mutual arms suppliers of death in both spheres of influence can replenish their customers – only this time, the threat of nuclear use is in the balance. Which would explain why MOPs are being rushed into production to keep Israel happy during the next conflict, where you’ll see American bombers take out Iran’s facilities – a delivery system S-300s are useless against, but that won’t stop the bug-nut-oh-look-there-are-Israeli-spy-rodents-in-our-midst Iranians from buying and modifying for use as land to land devices.

Russia is not the overnight democratic sensation that the relativistic peace makers of the west have touted it to be. It still does not champion the basic precepts of free speech and the thug-culture cloaked in communism who wrested control from the despotic monarchy in the beginning of the last century still exists generations later, but re-modeled through the sexy love-in media frenzy of the fallen Berlin wall. They might not call themselves communist, but they are still intolerant thugs who will do anything to have their political will exercised…sound like any other ideology we’re familiar with?

But you’d think that the Russians would have learned their lesson about dealing with islam in Chechyna. Me thinks they don’t know the size of the chickens that will come to roost if they keep down this path, or maybe they’re just taking advantage of Obama’s weak presidency to follow suit for their own means. Either way, it still spells APEASMENT (with small Persian print asking, “…and how many T-72s did you want in your next order?”)

Someone please prove me wrong before history proves me right.

Addendum to my last. Jawa through Anti-Mullah reports that Khamenei has died. When things like a power struggle at the top go awry in a theocracy, keep the masses busy with the circuses. Perhaps these last executions were final orders by someone who will be too busy with their 72 virgins to care, or just part of the continued deflection of events to keep the focus of the dissenting rivalry from narrowing on the oppressive Mullahs when they are most vulnerable.

Addendum to my Addendum. Holy shi’ite, it’s so weird when you read something that is so like-minded to what you are thinking that it tends to give credence to the “great-link” theory, like so many meticlorians in a ‘disturbance-of-the-force’ way in the absence of any tangible or intelligent manner to describe such causal metal events. See specifically the previously posted site piece:

Ok, sorry about that. Marisol, please feel free to delete the extra postings along with this one. Typepad being finicky, but still not as bad as intensedebacle.

How does Mr. Putin define fiasco? Will Iran finally cross the line when Tel Aviv or Jerusalem are glowing from nuclear detonations? The West needs to consider Putin a genuine enemy.

The 'West' is in bed with the Sunnis. Stupid.

The 'East' (China, Russia) is in bed with the Shiites. Stupid.

Presumably the greedy cruel dictators of the East think they can feed the jihad crocodile and sic it onto its (the East's) perceived enemy (the free West) and then destroy the crocodile at their leisure, after the crocodile has served its purpose i.e. destroying Israel, the USA and all other free peoples.

Stupid policy, if that's what they're thinking; vile, unutterably vile, and stupid too. For all bets are off once enough jihadis have access to the nuke button.

(Makes me wonder whether the Pakistanis get so much jizya because they've threatened to use their nukes on India, or just at random, if the jizya stops flowing).

As for Russia's attitude toward Israel - it was, after all, a Russian, an agent of the Tsar, who got hold of a pre-existing text that originally had nothing whatever to do with Jews, and cooked up 'the protocols of the elders of Zion'. Antisemitism has possessed and poisoned the soul of Russia for centuries, long before the Communists came on the scene.

If there is one country that actually has a justified reason to want to develop nuclear weapons it's Iran.
If you were sitting in Teheran today, everywhere around where you look, there are American forces,a country which cast you in the axis of evil, and who has a history of undermining your sovereignty and shooting passenger jets out of the sky.
A country that supported Saddams invasion of your country.
And you have Israel, a nuclear weapon state, that has a history of invading one of it's neighboring states every decade or so.
It's almost like you would have to be crazy if you weren't developing nuclear weapons since it's practically the only serious deterrent against possible attack.
In that light it makes perfect sense for Russia to tell others to back down with the threats.

There could also easily be a financial motive for Russia to hasten any Israeli attack on Iran. High oil prices favor Russia and if Iran really takes a hit, the natural gas price to Europe would rise. This is not to mention all the additional arms Russia could sell Iran to support the resulting war.

Unfortunately, the world is filled with very bad guys with power. We have many of our own in Washington. Denying health care to our seniors (resulting in their death) is one of BHO's current priority projects here. (Real nice guy, right?) Putin, BHO, and all the rest do what is in their own, egomaniac driven, self interest.

Frankish Infidel, Ahmadinejad and his Mullahs, couldn't have said it better themselves.

Frankish Infidel

Be carefull now...don't let that blowing sand get into your tea....

So much for appeasing Russia...I don't know but I don't think any country in the world has respect for the US these days. We have by far the weakest gov't. in the world at this time and it couldn't be at a worse time in history. These fools running the US are going to start a world war (and destroy the US at a minimum).

Khomenei when he came to power in Iran actually stopped nuclear weapon development,a program that was started under the Shah, calling nuclear weapons a creation of the devil.
It's a dangerous dance of death that all these actors in the Middle East are playing.
Giving Iran's support of Hezbollah it makes sense for Israel to fear Iran developing nuclear weapons.
However it would also be suicide if Iran would actually go so far as to arm a missile let alone exploding a nuclear device in Tel Aviv.
Iran would be vaporized within seconds if it even tried it.
One shouldn't forget the overwhelming superiority of US and Israeli armed forces in the region, compared to those of Iran.
Russia clearly sees the threats towards Iran coming out of Israel and the USA as a driving force behind Iran's desire to develop nuclear weapons.
Force is not of the table, bomb bomb bomb Iran etc. It's all over the papers and Iranian intelligence agencies aren't incapable of taking note of the threats of force.

Observe our latest Mohammedan-in-a-mask, 'Frankish Infidel', trying to get us to feel sorry for the mass-murdering Jew-hating woman-hating mullahs and basiji of the Islamic republic of Iran. Poor things, they feel 'threatened'. We should feel sooo sorry for them, and let them have whatever they want to 'defend' themselves.

Malignant narcissism has a name: Islam.

I don't believe for one minute the idea that if Iran didn't feel 'threatened', they wouldn't be going after nukes. My guess is that Muslims today (including those in Iran) want nukes, by hook or by crook, and will never stop trying to get them, because nukes are the most powerful weapons in the world right now, the most frightening, and the most appallingly destructive not just at the time of using, but afterwards. They want nukes just like the Turkish Muslims wanted up-to-the-minute cannon technology.

Muslims (and not only Iranian Muslims) have been after nuclear weapons since the early 1980s, at least; and one reason? - to destroy Israel (so said Ben Bella, who was president of Islamic Algeria at that time).
