Pamela has the transcript of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's interview with Rifqa Bary, the girl who fled from her home after her father threatened to kill her for converting from Islam to Christianity. The transcript is astounding on a number of levels -- notably for the utter cluelessness of the agents who questioned Rifqa. One tells her at one point, "You may have to help me out here because I don't know a lot about the Muslim religion."
Indeed not. And so it comes as no surprise that despite her explaining to them about the danger she was in as an apostate, and about how her father beat her, they decided she was under no threat.
Read it.
"Peoria police are searching for a man they say ran down his 20-year-old daughter in a parking lot for becoming "too 'westernized' and ... not living according to their traditional Iraq values."
THE agent that interviewed ms Bary should have read story's like the one quoted and about about how apostates are killed in Muslim majority lands to not do so IMO was nothing more than criminal laziness on his part the info is out there and not hard to find even the P.O.S. would be encyclopedia Wikipedia has info on apostasy in Islam ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apostasy_in_Islam#Punishment_for_apostasy ) so the info is out there
People, you won't believe this but I think tonight's "Law & Order: SVU" at 9 is on an Honor Killing. This episode is called "Honor."
Here's the description: "The case of an assaulted woman found in a park leads to an investigation involving a clash of cultures and a family's honor."
The actor's names are Arabic. Yep, I do believe it's going to be about an Honor Killing.
Well, I'm going to watch it to see just how PC the producers have made it. Because I don't believe for one second it's going to tell the truth about Islamic Honor Murders.
Hmmmmph. I've run into folks who are so lacking in any sense of proportion that they'll believe you if you tell them that Red-state Evangelicals eat live-stewed liberated lesbians for Christmas dinner; but these same folks believe that honor killings are akin to the medieval blood libel. Well, that's not so funny. The Muslim world accepts the blood libel story.
If Rifqa Bary becomes an honor killing statistic, we ought to bombard the judge who ordered her return to her family and tell him he's an accessory to first degree murder.
Well, I watched the "Law and Order" I referred to above, and I'm pleased to say that, although there were a few missteps, this episode about an Afghan Diplomat father in New York who murders his daughter for "honor" made the Muslims and Muslim culture look like utter and complete Barbarians.
Amazingly, the political correctness was kept to a minimum. In a courtroom scene one lawyer even describes honor killing as a "barbaric custom." He said that! Right in front of allah and everybody!
Of course, a Muslim professor being asked questions about the Islamic culture must insert the obligatory verse from Deuteronomy about stoning women adulterers. I guess that's the writer's stab (no pun intended) at "moral equivalency."
And, the brother of the honor-killed Muslim woman, who helped his father murder her and stone her says in tears at one point: "When allah asked Abraham to kill, did he have a choice?" Oh, give me a break! There was no "allah" because there was no Islam until 620 AD. Anyway, it turns out that the brother at the age of 5 was forced to watch his grandfather kill his aunt in an honor killing, which portrayed the brother as a victim of his own culture. Well, I can agree with that. Indeed, all Muslims are victims of Islam. Which is a main point in Wafa Sultan's book "A God Who Hates." I wonder if Wafa watched this "Law and Order" tonight?
OK - here's a misstep:
The Professor I referred to above describes the women in Afghanistan as living under "house arrest" due to the Taliban. And, "there's nothing in the Koran that says to do that." Is that right?
But, here is the biggest misstep of all, also from the mouth of the Professor, - wait for it - "The Koran says all humans are equal." !!!!!! Right, Prof - Howsa 'bout allah cursing the Jews and turning them into apes and pigs? Howsa 'bout 98:6 in which all non-Moslems are "the worst of created beings." Oh, and so many "kill" and "slay" verses, and Christians called "polytheists." How 'bout these:
Qur'an 9:73 - "O Prophet! Strive against the Disbelievers and the Infidels! Be harsh with them. Their ultimate abode is hell, a hapless journey's end."
And:
"Kill non-Muslims wherever you find them. Lie in wait and ambush them, seize and capture them using every stratagem of war (for example, political, economic, propaganda, population explosion). If they convert to Islam and pray and contribute to the cause of Islam (Jihad), let them go." (Koran 9:5)
"Non-Muslims MUST convert to Islam or they will be killed." (Koran 48:16)
"Fight the people of the Book (Jews and Christians) and extort money from them." (Koran 9:29)
"Mohammed, the messenger of Allah, and those who follow him (Muslims) are merciful to one another but harsh to the infidels (non-Muslims)." (Koran 48:29)
Yeah, that's some "equal" you got there.
Oh, here's something else: The white female attorney who doesn't know anything about Islam says about the brother: "He's perverting holy scripture to justify murder." What does she know about the "holy scripture" i.e. Koran? Nuthin'. She doesn't know nuthin'. Utter nonsense. That's the writers' being mega-PC.
This was an interesting aside: The doorman complains to the 2 Detectives that "Amil" (the brother) "treats him like his own personal slave." Oh boy did that ring true. The doorman is white guy "Infidel" all the way.
In conclusion, I must say that for the most part I was impressed with this "Honor Killing" episode. The PC'ness was minimized, AND the brother is convicted of 2nd degree murder so will be going to prison. Where he can convert single-digit IQ psychopaths to Islam. Great. That's just what we need.

How could I forget?
The oppressed wife of the honor-killing Afghan father dressed in Full Tent with just her eyes showing testifies against her husband in the courtroom (how real is that?).
Then, the last image of the show is the wife lying across their bed with her throat slit. Now that's real.
As I said, the Afghan father/husband is shown as a total Barbarian. He even calls Mariska Hargatay a "whore, just like his daughter."
I hope the clueless individuals in FL who sent Rifqa Bary back to HER father saw this episode tonight.
"the utter cluelessness of the agents who questioned Rifqa" --Robert
Indeed.
Rifqa, on the other hand, is very impressive and holds up well. I've read the whole transcript. I strongly recommend to people to read the transcript. I think it took me about two or three hours to get through it. Many of the doubts and apparent inconsistencies raised by critics of Rifqa should be resolved once the critics read the transcript in its entirety. This still is only a part of the story, but I think eventually Rifqa will write her story out as a book, hopefully for a mass audience.
An agent asks Rifqa "What's your favorite hobby?"
Rifqa replies: "Hobby? I'm a journaler. I love to write. I'm a writer."
She can write, and she loves to write. This is perhaps partly why CAIR and Islam's public relations people seem so fearful, if not phobic, of seventy-five pound, seventeen-year-old Rifqa. They not only hate and fear what she is saying now, but they fear her potential to be saying quite a lot more in the future, for many years to come--like Nonie Darwish, Wafa Sultan, Ibn Warraq, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, and others.
Islam's public-relations people may also fear Rifqa's obvious energy, charisma, and passion, specifically her desire to evangelize and, in her view, to save Muslims.
Rifqa tells the agents "[...] Facebook was my tool, man I evangelized, I was passionate. People would come to my page and think I was a pastor, I had a ministry. I was sixteen."
Islam's PR people can't have this. Rifqa and her story is a threat to them, as she highlights one of the major problems with Islam (apostasy penalty) while highlighting the positive aspects of Christianity, and potentially persuading many more Muslims, especially teenage girls and young women, to leave Islam and convert to Christianity.
Religious belief tends to be volatile during the teenage years. Perhaps what would be best for Rifqa is to try to get out of the spotlight for a while and focus her energies on finishing up high school and next on completing university. Whatever Rifqa believes five or ten years down the road, the journey of her escape from Islam to freedom is something that will no doubt have a lasting effect on her world-view, and is hopefully a story she takes to a much wider audience. She can write the book, and maybe the screenplay for the movie.
This girl needs a song, an anthem, and what better than the Free Bird by the glorious band Lynyrd skynyrd?
Just read dad where it says girl.
If I leave here tomorrow
Would you still remember me?
For I must be travelling on, now,
'Cause there's too many places I've got to see.
But, if I stayed here with you, girl*,
Things just couldn't be the same.
'Cause I'm as free as a bird now,
And this bird you can not change.
Lord knows, I can't change.
Bye, bye, its been a sweet love.
Though this feeling I can't change.
But please don't take it badly,
'Cause Lord knows I'm to blame.
But, if I stayed here with you girl*,
Things just couldn't be the same.
Cause I'm as free as a bird now,
And this bird you'll never change.
And this bird you can not change.
Lord knows, I can't change.
Lord help me, I can't change.
* girl= dad
It's good to see that Law and Order has slipped the bonds of political correctness even if only a little.
I've got to watch it.
