Pamela Geller has uncovered some explosive information about Mohamed Bary, the father of the most famous convert from Islam to Christianity, Rifqa Bary -- who fled from her father's home after she says he threatened to kill her for her apostasy. It seems that the Barys are in the U.S. illegally, and that Mohamed Bary has sworn to contradictory statements on his visa applications -- in other words, he has clearly committed perjury.
The family could therefore be deported, with Rifqa -- which would leave her at the mercy of the Islamic community in Sri Lanka, many of whom no doubt believe devoutly in the Islamic death penalty for apostasy that Rifqa's detractors in the U.S. are so avid to deny. Rifqa, however, could apply for asylum. And certainly she could make a strong case that her life would be in danger if she returned to Sri Lanka.
Read the details over at Atlas Shrugs here and here.

So the truth finally comes out. I really hope she can find a legal way to stay here.
Excellent work, Pamela! ...and may Rifqa apply for asylum and win.
I'm sorry but the law is the law. Rifqa is here illegally and must be deported too. Every Mexican who illegally enters our country is promptly and ruthlessly deported so I don't think they should make an exception for her just because of some Islamophobic lies about her life being in danger.
Me thinks they did protest too much.
Perhaps there's an action that could be taken that doesn't involve immediate family deportation which would help safeguard Rifqa while her application for asylum is processed - active prosecution of her father for criminal offenses related to activities as an illegal alien, with the intent to send him to jail for a couple of years. That should keep him busy for a while.
It is amusing to read the documentation concerning this case that Pamela has assembled on her web site. Mr. Bary seems to have been very adept at playing a legal shell game related to forming some kind of gem importing business and then shuffling legal papers around in such a way as to always keep one step ahead of the law. In reading this I couldn't help but wonder how many others just like him are playing exactly this same kind of game.
So if the Barys had just let Rifqa go.............they probably would not face deportation? They must have known that their immigration status would eventually be revealed if the matter reached the courts. So why chance it?
Apparently being deported is not as bad as having your apostate daughter run away from home. Maybe some of our more visible dhimmis will have to admit that Rifqa had valid reasons for running away from her parents. I cannot imagine a group of illegal (religion of your choice) immigrants doing the same thing.
I just hope that Rifqa can get asylum. If she is removed from the protection of the United States, she will be killed immediately.
Good question. More than we can think of is my guess. As is Britain they game the welfare system as well. So, I guess if we checked the SSI records we would quickly find hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands. . . ???
The asylum issue may work. Don't know all of the twists and turns involved. I am willing to leave this in God's hands. He is quite capable of taking care of one of his own.
that's right Champ. may she win. may the knowledge put forth in her case be respected and convince the one who must make the decision. may that one have an understanding of true righteousness. ... and may the demons who'd try to extract their own sense of righteousness be thwarted completely.
I'm with you there, Boakai Ngombu! :)
Poetic justice would be Rifqa being granted asylum while her parents are deported.Rifqa can make a case that her life would be in danger if she was deported. Her father has committed perjury and clearly cannot be trusted.
Rifqa would be a genuine aylum seeker, and should be welcomed as such. Her parents, or at least her father seems to be a scam artist.
Every day and Every way Pamela Geller EMBARASSES THE "MEDIA" with what she SINGLE-HANDEDLY DISCOVERS and REPORTS and THEY DON'T.
Pamela and Robert are on OUR FRONT-LINE for the Cause of GOOD.

What part of the US are you living in?
I live in Southern California and I can tell you that hardly any illegals get promptly and ruthlessly deported.
As for 'islamophobic' lies, we would need to fear islam to be phobic. What you see is revulsion of a death cult.
In future please correct that to read 'islamomisia', which is far more accurate than your self-aggrandizing prose.
Question Everything - poetcomic has been a regular here for a long time and is a proud Islamophobe him/ herself - reread the comment with a big SARC mark added and see how it sounds.
Question Everything,
Yes I too was taken aback by Poetic Comic's comments but DDA is right, PC has been here for a long time so those have to be sarcastic remarks, or he's obviously never been to Northern Virginia.
