Shawana Bilqes should not attend university if she is unable to interact fully with instructors or the student body. The veil is not a scarf or shawl, but full facial concealment. Burnley is a small town out in the sticks. On the limited information the MSM is allowed to give, things there are "tense". The right wing BNP has more open support than most places so wearing a veil is more than usually provocative. I cannot see such a ban ever being considered in nearby towns where muslims have real power and make up 30% of the population.
We will have to see what the muslim lobby comes back with. Sky News is not MSM in the UK and it will be interesting to see if THE MSM covers it and how.

This case is very interesting because it is in Burnley. Burnley is a run down Lancashire mill town with high levels of unemployment and poor quality housing. There is a large Muslim population who dominate certain areas of the town. Whenever there has been govt. or local council funding for 'regeneration' or housing improvement schemes it always seems to go to the Muslim areas.
The result of all this is simple: polarisation. Burnley is the first town in which the BNP won a local council election and they have had up to 8 councillors on the local Council. In June this year 14.6% of Burnley voters voted BNP in the Euro Elections. The Euro Elections are a Regional multi-member PR system. Burnley was the highest BNP vote in the NW Region. Overall BNP got 8.0% in the Region so Nick Griffin got elected to Brussels as an MEP. In the County Council elections, also in June, on the FPTP system BNP won a Lancashire County Council seat in Burnley West & Padiham with 30.7% of the vote.

Yes it started 40+ years ago and it is not as crazy as it sounds. The politicians established rent controls and about that time a landlord was only allowed to charge say $3 a week out of which he had to pay $2 local taxes. As a result thousands of houses in the cities were falling down as the most basic repair cost 6 months rent. The government had to pay to put them right, nobody else could afford to.
The system has gone on from there but the muslims really screw it. Often the house owner has to pay 25-50% of the cost depending on income. The muslims make damn sure they are below the level where they have to pay anything. Most often by putting the house in the name of a retired family member. Once the old guy died before the work was started and the grant was canceled - boy, was his son p***** off. Still I expect he tried again later with another relative.
With the unpronounceable, un-spellable and varied names they use it is easy to screw a system designed for simple working class British people.

The U.K. needs a pro-nationalist political party but all indications are that the BNP is indeed a neo-Nazi party, racist and anti-Semitic. Nick Griffin, head of the BNP, is an alleged Holocaust denier who got many of his ideas from Mein Kampf and the sick mind of Adolph Hitler. Perhaps this portrayal of Griffin is exaggerated by the opposition but I really don't think the BNP is the solution to the U.K.'s problems. There is ample background information available on Griffin going back to his school days and none of it is favorable. He sounds like a bona fide, Fascist prick to me.

I've never seen sufficient evidence that Nick Griffin is a fascist, racist and anti-Semite. Everytime someone tries to prove these allegations, I notice their proof is a tissue of ill-substantiated rumors, half-truths, old claims, and third-party allegations. I've been asking people to show me proof on Griffin for years now, and the best I get are links to websites that themselves provide no documentation, or anecdotal evidence about how "my friend's cousin's ex-wife's in-laws overheard some BNP thugs bragging in the next booth about how they were going to beat up some blacks", etc.

I was glad to retire from my job of 34 years last May.I had an unblemished record until then but finally blotted my copybook when I automatically said"Bless you"to the new girl after she sneezed.It seems this zealous anti racist,who happened to be from Lahore,took offence and reported me.I was asked to apologise for hurt feelings and,if I hadn't been due to finish in 3 days, would have been required to attend a "cultural diversity awareness"session.
I always thought one said "Bless you"as during a sneeze,the devil is supposed to escape from your soul and this is protection(not that I take all this into account whenever I say it!)Surely all religions have devils in one form or another and therefore we all require protection?

I share your concerns about the BNP but you have to remember that the establishment and MSM will destroy the career or business of anyone who joins it. They are afraid of it getting a better class of member, I know because I saw it happen to an acquaintance some years ago. Apart from that the basic tactic to restrict BNP growth is for the government aided UAF to bus people around the country to disrupt their meetings.
